There is basically nothing on the server side that would help with ping. I did use some ping reducing software and it helped(sometimes). Mostly, I never really bothered with ping as I use characters that is not ping dependent like champ or clowns. Although on occasion, I was able to use clown but I fixed my weakness(which is AV spam) with more damage.

Word of advice: Do not hope much. Even if someone does go in your country and try to challenge the telcos, it would take them a minimum of 1-2 years since I would assume that they will have to make their own set of cables to do what they claim they will do, since the backbone of PH is being held by one telco. For a simpler term, one telco is holding the country's internet hostage. Also, telstra has data caps, so be ready for that.

Alright, since you guys claim to be from the IT industry then I don't need to explain as much. There's a reason why most MMOs have their regional versions. I give an example: Elsword is a side scrolling 2d game from Korea. There are regional versions of Elsword, Elsword KR and there is also Elsword US servers and other ones. The reason is mainly to reduce ping. Put this in our perspective, there is simply no way to meet halfway regarding the server. I doubt there is a hosting company that can host Ragnarok that is basically in the middle of the US and East Asia. Another issue is that having the server closer to the admin means he can do action faster when the server has issues. That for me is the main thing. The cost and risk of migrating a server is too high, when all it does is just minimize 200+ ping to about 150 and making 50+ ping become 100 to some people. Reading on and came to know that you are from PH is another thing. Even if we move the server somewhat closer to you guys, the network infrastructure of the country is way below the normal standards, I am sure you know that. There is one big telco in PH which basically controls every thing, to the point that it limits the country's connection. It's not about the speed, it is how the network has been done: You guys pay for more while they deliberately give you slower speed. Moving the server will in no way fix that, your ping will still be higher than singapore when you guys are basically neighbors simply because the routing of data in the country is fucked.

We are unlike other servers where you get strong in a day. To me, that is just boring, hence I stayed on this server for years. And actually, I pvp with just knight set and legendary equips(aura, weapon, gaunts) on my sinx and I do fine, you just adjust the stats a bit because knight set gives lower stats than the full vote king set. Of course, there are classes that work ok on knight set and other classes that don't, so you just steer away from those classes. You can pvp decently on a knight set and legendary stuff geared LK. I've seen around 3 people who challenge themselves and use knight set on their champs and it works. It is more of an excuse nowadays, not a reason. And seriously, they should not complain about a month for a full king set when it gives the same as the donate one. They can even vote for the capes now.

I agree, as there is no point removing the +hit if the cape has it.

This is so untrue. I use vote sets on my sinx, use legendary weapons and str gaunts on him and I was able to kill people who I am pretty sure donated a lot. Newbies should have no excuse as voting for the set and cape and at least fallen ghost gets you on par with people using donates.

Instead of the mvp cards I listed, look for their Silver MVP equivalents which gives around half of the original, as it is better than the other cards you can get that is not MVP(like i said, dual evil druid is useless, and GR is not MVP) Skoll is MVP, makes your vit def lower and gives hp(which makes thanatos card useless against you while wearing it). Raydric should do well for the mean time but you will die the moment you get hit by anyone that has thanatos. on the stats, if you are going crit, dex is not needed as crit always hits(except on skills which uses HIT).

Weapon should be the legendary critical sword so you can have a shield and has the option to use the legendary crit dagger when you can. Katars dont work well for crit in the server. For the lower, get the vote sinx cape. shoes should be 2x fbh cloak, you should have one 2x skoll, one 2x raydric armor, 2x evil druid is useless. get gr+tao and tao+ OL at the very least. use str gaunts.

I'd rather have vote jackets myself since for me Vote capes > non-donation rings so it is rather useless imo.

Yummi and iPoor would always be in the list. For the non actives, my friend Shreya(Sentient) would always be #1 for me as she is the only paladin that I played with that never allowed me to die. Oh, special mention to Airi since she tries STR Pally.

And well you can make it a challenge for yourself. I used to pvp with just knight set and legendary headgears i can get through quest events, never had problems on my stalker as the stat difference is just a bit and i can just use some stat foods i had.

That still defeats the purpose on why the vote sets has only the vote fhelm to go with it. It was made that way for a reason: those sets help you initially to be on par with the older players (in WoE etc) while you are still gaining tokens to get the real ones which are a bit better. This is mostly a cosmetic issue anyway, I see no real reason to change the vote fsets nor add headgears for it(unless we add like 1-2 vote headgears, not questable ones). It's not like the sets differ in stats.

It doesn't matter if it is for the votes, if we do this, who will actually buy the real fsets when I can just vote and get the legendary headgears? The stats of the vote and donate forsaken king sets are the same, the only difference is that you can use expansion headgears for the donation sets, which is basically its selling point.

I would disagree as well. The quests are easy enough to do, hence the effect is what you worked for. You sadly wanted a free item to have the same stats as the ones in the donation. I believe this is too much, we already have a full forsaken set for free through votes, which is designed for new guys to have an equal playing field with the older ones. If the looks is the only issue here, I would say that take the time to work for the items you want. We do not have donation exclusive items, meaning you can buy those off from players once you got funds for it. There is no need for your suggestion because everyone can gain donation items with using tokens they can gain by selling stuff. Takes time, sure but that's the point.

Same, even though I do think the saiyan hat fits only the champ class :p. But yeah, I agree with you.

That's the main problem with the new stalker weapon : It is still STR based. Sadly, atm using the soaring bird of stalker still yields better damage + better utility since you are ranged, also add that you don't spread out your stats with it(you gain 195 aspd just due to dex, and you raise your chance to strip people). The only thing the sword has imo is that with higher STR, you have better weight limit. But as the soaring bird has increase weight limit, it isn't really a huge difference.

Goodluck as well on your endeavors. Who knows, in maybe about two years something new comes out. Don't limit yourself to only SAP or Oracle. :) Be creative, the industry needs it.

Oh yeah, but I think you use some sort of framework for PHP? Which kinda fixes some of its faults so there we go :D There's nothing wrong to brag about that, I myself am part of a small group that is trying to make their own startup, it's just that our jobs are in the way atm :P(we are making retro type games on android). If the main focus is on ERP, SAP would do the job better then, as that is exactly what SAP focuses on, and is a bit better on that field than Oracle. If by chance, you will be a company that would tailor a system or application according to a client, then it will depend on their needs and will make you really take a big risk by trying to use either SAP or Oracle. It's not so much as which is better really, it is who can SELL a lot better. It does not matter what you use at that point, it depends on HOW you sell it. Also, since you have experience on SAP, the choice is there. It will take less time for you to use SAP than you to try and start learning Oracle. This is only true if time is a priority. To give you a little idea, and this me solely remembering stuff I heard from friends in the field, Accenture has people/groups on SAP with regards to their business solutions, while the same company also has people/groups on Oracle when it regards to financial management(oracle is better in that aspect)

Well, this is basically a "windows or linux" type of question: The answer is use what is best for the job. SAP has a very strong focus on ERP compared to Oracle. Oracle on the other hand has better database applications compared to SAP. We now live in a very advanced world with regards to technology. You literally cannot just choose one and hope that it fits for everything you need. I cannot really give an honest answer because I do not really know what you need, and if I do give one, it might be wrong and point you to the wrong direction. You cannot look at different technologies with a pros and cons list, it just does not work that way. Use what fits the job. You don't necessarily use Ruby on Rails to build a simple web app when you can use Sinatra. Nor will you use both of those technologies when just html5 and css will do the job. It is also hard to ask advice about this, because programmers will ALWAYS be biased to what they used. I have unworldly hatred to PHP because of how messy it is, but tons of people will claim it to be the best simply because Facebook use it(which they had to because they NEED to). My girlfriend gets confused in Ruby(and Rails) because she is a C# and .NET developer, and would obviously prefer to use that to build something. Hundreds of companies look for Java developers simply because it is one of the most popular language there is, even if it is starting to falter in certain areas(it gained popularity again due to Android though). Bottomline is: Try to study both, and see which fits your problem. If the problem is hiring people that has experience on either SAP or Oracle, then that is the root of the problem. Hire people that has the fundamentals down and have good programming practices. Doesn't matter what language he specialize in, or what systems he used to use. A decent programmer can study a new language/system/whatever as long as he got the logic and fundamentals already.

I don't have a guild so you would not normally see me in events where you usually see the old players(WoE, GvG). Although whenever I pop in, the first one I see easily is Faiz, Fia or David. Bass sometimes as well. The oldest one would have been David as he was in fRO a few months before I even created my account.
