Some Changes On Sniper Blessed Ring

I just want to discuss about the sniper blessed ring stats. Sniper cursed ring becomes more expensive i just want to give my opinion to make it balance. So for sniper Blessed ring i want to suggest a status like this just to make it fair.

+30% to DS and -10% on FAS then still 10% on HP and still +7% on attack or just make it = to GS that is a full buster type.

Cause they always say that GS is OP but its just fair cause its a single target skill unlike the FAS type sniper having a good damage and AOE but sniper DS type is having a low damage and still single target so i want to say that make the double strafe becomes like the full buster or make it equal.

Additional ideas for cursed/blessed sniper :

1. Increase all types of trap skills by 10-30%(depends on the fro developers team discussion)

2. Auto-cast linker buff beast strafing self while equipping it

Let me copy and paste here what I wrote in your ticket so that everyone will also see it.

Hi, thanks for your suggestions. I will have to disagree with the +30% to DS because that will be too OP. Other GMs don't also approve the reduction on FAS because it will also cause a lot of commotion in game.

GM Bishop said that you should never compare Gunslingers to Snipers because these two jobs have different roles in the game. GS Full Buster's damage and spam rate is fine because of the following reasons:

they have no utilities

no disarm or anything

no traps

no stun lock

no ranged push back

The one you see in game is an out-dated description (but effects below are working in the server since Dragon patch) and will be updated next patch. But let me share with you what's coded in the database right now.

Sniper Blessed Ring

Dex +35, ATK +7%, HP +10%, SP +10%, Hit +100

Walking speed +15%

Reduce Damage taken from Demihumans by 5%

Reduce Vit def by 10%, Increase damage done with Double Strafe by 10%

Sniper Cursed Ring

Dex +45, HP +20%, SP +10, Hit +100

Walking speed +15%

Reduce Damage taken from Demihumans by 5%

Reduce Vit def by 10%, Increase damage done with Focused Arrow Strike by 20%

Just to add...

Of course Cursed Ring will become more expensive because people only know how to play FAS type. But did you remember how Blessed Rings were so expensive before? It's a matter of how you will use it. One example is a Sniper vs Sniper. You will surely dominate if a Sniper goes full (2 Pouring cards) and DS him with a Thana or Inca. What I'm trying to say is that the argument of Cursed ring being more expensive is not a good thing to make Blessed ring too OP to give 30% DS. Again, don't compare it with a Gunslinger

For the other build like Falcon and Traps, it's still a work in progress and it won't be added to the rings.

But it's not included for this next patch. You will have to wait because we are following a queue for improvements and new stuff for fRO. :)

GM ares is right about the reductions.

Snipe B is less expensive and not that oftenly used because you need 2 bows for it, even 3. and lots of gameplay.

It is way convenient for CURSED/FAS users. Here is why: basically 1 bow needed(2tg 2paper), you just stood there and spam 1 skill, doesn't requip the bow, just find a decent target(a pally) find the correct angle, change arrows and poof.... some players will die.

unlike in bless, as stated above ^ 3 bows. TG TG SKEL SKEL(for skoll users), TG TG THANA SKEL(for those people who dont use SKOLLS) and TG TG MAO MAO(for GR users and also a skoll user as well).

of course new players will say YES to the suggestion. xD they did not saw the monster of the past years..... although i played both the type of snipers. I must say, CURSE IS MORE CONVENIENT, GOOD IN WOE(piercing dmg). BLESS on the other hand, SINGLE TARGET, HARD TO USE WHEN THE MAP IS FULL OF PLAYERS(specially WOE), also i had a hard time on this one. First i cant see the dmg in WOE so you will try to guess what the target's armor and def is. Though its not that hard to re-quip the bow, you just press the bow in your hotkeys/fkeys then *POOF* dmg output changed(no rebuff/reconverter needed unlike in WS, LKs and the like).

im not saying im the best out there, TOTALLY NOT. but ive experienced it and id say THE CURSED update is Quite OP a little bit(The Hp increase). and THE BLESS SHOULD HAVE A LITTLE BIT OF HP INCREASE TOO.

people not knowing how to use snipers is not a good argument to make it OP. 30% ds is too much when DS is flexible on card choices while FAS is not.

I hope that a DS type Sniper will be out there to play "the game". Again, if your argument is Cursed Ring being more expensive, it's because the market prefers this. I need to be frank but I don't see the logic of adding the 30% DS increase.

-1 I still think DS snipers are good, considering that their spam rate is insane. in the end its all about card building and switching i think

Make bless +20% HP too is quite fair for both rings.

Well, for sniper jobs=hpmax is not so important for the first cause(Trap skills were varieties and more sneaky as sinx job too)

*My points of view+my first job experiences in official ro*

Sniper also can play with sinx card in their garment too XD(set trap+cloaking+wait in a distance+(end it with more traps/DS/FAS :3)

Their main role are really like pro strategist at offender(DS/FAS/arrow shower)+mid-defender(Trappers)+hybrid(Killing+trap specialist)for woe hours :P

comparing this server and officials is a really stupid comparison... that's like comparing apples to a coconut. On officials snipers use 2 handed bows where as here they use 1 handed bows making them survive a hell of a lot more than normal so they honestly don't need any real changes.

-1. As they said. rings are fine the way it is. i am a DS sniper and uses bless ring before. well basically a hybrid type. Snipers can tank actually. but increasing trap effectiveness would be good as they will bring more advantages and disadvantages in woe.
