The only downside I can see to this is someone who has a gazillion tokens running into some kind of unforeseen inventory item limit issue or something, and all of their tokens go spiraling out into the abyss... I think a better option would be to separate the tokens into 'tiers' like the zeny coins: 10 tokens, 100, 1,000, or whatever.

Not sure if this was overlooked when Sprint Rings got disabled or if it was just shrugged off like "Hey, you can't really do anything wearing all that anyway," but it does still work while wearing 3 Kiels if you're wearing it with the Sprint Armor+Shoes set... It's a low drop rate though, like 2% I think? Anyway, all the other cast-delay reducing stuff like Expert Ring/Diabolus Robe/Sniping Suit/etc have been disabled as well.

Having played a taekwon ranker (with full gear), I think it's best option to be a viable PvP class is to just add more damage bonuses to the rings/weapon, and make the legendary/elite weapon (and any valkyrie weapon that might appear in the future) disable the Kihop party bonus. The infinite combo kick thing is cool, but you're not going to kill anyone with that unless they're just not paying attention at all ... and while FSK can be strong, you're not going to 1-shot anyone with it with taekwon-- that's more suited for star gladiator IMO-- and since there's such a huge delay after FSK'ing, you can't really spam it. As for the suggestion, the current top ladder score is 301 points. For how tedious an accomplishment that is (..was), that's not really a worthwhile damage spike, and you'd probably get some nutjob (like me) who would do a million friggin' missions just to get a million friggin' Atk regardless of how tedious it is. :D .. so .. yeh.

Def +1 for improving the drops... like, just drop the Emp itself, instead of having to collect all the gold frags and woe tokens (I thought all castles drop F.Sold .. ?? .. thought I'm probably mistaken...) Maybe is just my opinion, but Gold's not really all that enticing, or at least not enough to be worth the effort involved in getting one.

The current system is fine, though I think a big improvement would be to just hide the NPC while the room is Occupied, then appear when it's Open, which would force people to actually go through the dialog manually rather than just having it open up to the bot check so that all you have to do is smash enter when it opens ... but I made a whole 'nother thread about that, so .. :x

I've experimented a lot with builds on various classes using Mix A/B belts in conjunction with the +40 stat belts, and a good amount of the time it's worth having that slight decrease in atk/matk power in exchange for better stat distribution/extra hp/etcetera, so I personally like them the way they are... :)

How exactly would my suggestion make it more favorable for me, or anyone else for that matter? Please explain, because it seems to me like you're just raging because you know it would make it fair...

@yuzero First of all, you give yourself far too much credit my friend, this has nothing to do with you. There have been plenty of hoarders before either of us, and I'm sure there'll be more. I came up with this idea after realizing how easy it still is to get in with as much as a simple script, despite the addition of the bot check. I find it interesting though that wanting to make it more fair for everyone angers you enough to write an entire paragraph basically just insulting me and giving no real feedback ... as if sheer "effort" is going to so drastically improve your reaction time over other peoples' in the such a short amount of time you've been doing the Thana room, people who have been doing it for months and months before you even came along and have had plenty of practice honing their own reaction time...

@Puding If everyone has to go through the dialog manually, a tenth of a second or so difference in ping isn't gonna make any difference... Also, the word you have to type in for the bot check might be a short 3 number password, or it might be a longer word like "paladin", a randomization factor that makes it an even fairer chance for everyone.

@gennova Auto-clickers aren't really effective anymore with the bot check implemented, and the timer starts after you kill Thana and relog, so unless you're multi-clienting, you have to skip a turn.

I think I've come up with, if not a solution, then at least an improvement on dealing with people using third-party means to get into the Thana room. I don't know exactly how the Thana room's programming works, but if it would be possible to simply hide the NPC while the room is occupied so that it's only visible while the room is open, it would make it so you have to actually click the NPC and go through all the dialog and bot check, rather than just being able to have it open up to the bot check so that all you have to do is hit enter when it opens... Edit: And maybe put one of those chat signs or something near it so people still know it's actually there, lol ...

My thoughts pretty much reflect everything Shadi's said so far. I think the current system of redux gears is balanced pretty well, and I've personally tried all manner of redux builds with several classes, including gypsy/clown, professor and priest. It pretty much comes down to 3 modes: 1) Full redux (Combat Knife+Refined Deviling+Sacred Wing, etc.) -- mostly limited to support for large party fighting, still vulnerable to Stone Curse for the most part 2) The '3/5 Redux' build I call it (Maybe just a Sacred and Skull/Myth aura with vit build) -- allowing for switching of gears but with much less survivability than full redux -- still limited in fighting ability and requires more expensive gears, but the use of weapon cards make it a lot more dangerous than full redux 3) Full PvP capability

Unless you have over like 300 ping, it's not really gonna be a determining factor of getting in or not... I've said it before, I'll say it again: The Thana room is a competition, and there are ways of having an advantage over other players, namely by knowing how the timing system works. If you're on the ball, you can time it to the exact second the next opening will be, and you can be ready. If you just have a vague idea of when the next opening will be, your reaction time isn't going to be as good. It's up to you to figure out exactly how it works. I've sat at that NPC countless times, and I've killed him well over 100 times and I know exactly how the system works, so if I have a mind that I'm gonna kill Thana next, odds of getting in are pretty well in my favor... And in my opinion, that's how it should be. Like I said, it's a competition, based essentially on how well you can pay attention.

The big discount on bulk tokens probably had some influence on all the crazy prices as well. Token value dropped pretty hard after that.

Practically speaking, it would make sense if every emp sold for the same price, seeing as how they all have the same drop rate, but the fact of the matter is that orange/green/purple/blue emps will never be thought of as valuable as the newer colors, and the prices of these emps have more than tripled compared to what they were two years ago, making them not really all that sensible to even buy anymore because of the much cheaper alternatives. +1

Also, champ takes lots and lots of practice to be fast, and their main skills being combos make it harder to cheat with, and snipers are not as OP as people make them out to be. There are so many ways to reduce and avoid their damage. For example, most everyone is always wearing a GR armor by default, and most snipers know this and default to immaterial arrow, so they're going to do more damage like that right off the bat...

That would be Baphomet Jr. casting Hallucination status on you. You can use /effect command to disable the waviness.

I say push it to Euro time if you're gonna change it at all... (2pm server time, same as Euro WoE) I think that'd be pretty much equally (in)convenient for everyone involved... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
