Starting in February, we're offering a new incentive program to increase GM activity! As many of you have noticed, most of our GMs tend to go inactive not long after becoming a staff member. Why is this? Because being a Game Master is a job, not just for fun. It requires a lot of time, effort, dedication and sacrifice. To recognize the dedication GMs put in and also to encourage activity, we are giving full GMs the option to receive a token salary on their legit character in exchange for their time and hard work as a Game Master. The salary will be based on the amount of events hosted, as well as bot checks performed for that month. Below is the system: 25 events, 7 bot checks = 700 tokens* 40 events, 14 bot checks = 1,600 tokens* 55 events, 18 bot checks = 2,340 tokens* 70+ events, 21+ bot checks = 3,000 tokens* * Reward quantities may change in the future; this is on a trial basis in the beginning. From now on, all new GMs will be hired as Trial Game Masters, which will not initially receive a salary. Once a Trial GM proves their dedication, reliability, and trustworthiness, they will be promoted to a full Game Master and will then have the opportunity to earn a salary for their work. The amount of time it takes to be promoted will typically be a few months, though it can vary based on performance. We're also opening up applications for new Trial Game Masters! We're aware of this issue. It's related to the server processes we run. It effects players that are further away from the server (usually, Asian/Pacific areas) but it should only be for a short duration, though. We're looking into ways to mitigate it.

There's been a few topics asking this question... here's what another player answered:

The Forsaken King set (best donation gear set) is available through voting. Same exact effect, same slots. The only real difference is that vote items cannot be traded, while donation items can. For weapons, auras, accessories, we offer legendary quests that have 80% of the effect of their donation counterparts. This usually translates to 3 stats or so difference. Like Desamor said, the biggest benefit of donating is gearing up faster. I'd say there's also more aesthetic options from donating as well. But you can do very well in PvP and WoE with a vote king set, vote infernal cape, and legendary weapons/accessories.

You need to make sure to type the answers exactly as they appear in the guide. Same capitalization, punctuation, everything.

How would making it so it's like an instance prevent people from hoarding it? It's mostly about knowing the time when it resets, and that would be the same thing with the instance, would it not? I agree everyone should have a fair chance at getting the card, but I'm not sure if what you're suggesting would solve anything.

You can reset your position through the control panel. :)

People are always going to "cry" about some thing or another, especially when it doesn't benefit them. As GMs, we are neutral and have only the best interest of the server at heart. We only make changes if we feel something is a legitimate issue and is imbalanced or negatively impacting game play.

Hi all! We are thinking of making some changes to the wiki and how we handle guides. Here are a few possibilities: 1. We make it so anyone can contribute to the existing wiki, possibly with moderator approval. 2. We make a new section on the forums where players can post guides that will replace the existing wiki. Basically - Would people rather the "wiki" is integrated into the forums, or do you guys prefer having it as something a bit separate? Other key questions: What important information is currently missing that would be beneficial to new players and people unfamiliar with ForsakenRO? What would be the ideal way to present all of our custom items? E.g., a large database with all items listed, different topics for each way of obtaining items, e.g. quest/vote/event/etc. Here's an in-progress database I was working on awhile ago: http://www.forsaken-ro.net/forum/index.php?app=ccs&module=pages&section=pages&id=6 It will display item name/slots, item preview, effect, where it equips, how much it costs, and where it's obtained from (e.g. what quest, I guess it could also list what NPC it's from too...) Do you guys like this approach? Since we have a lot, it's a bit tricky - I'd love to hear people's suggestions and ideas. Either way, now is a good time to start thinking of ideas for guides if you have any you'd like to contribute!

Our administrator Genesis is from nlRO, and some of our players are as well. :) And you're right, this server isn't donation based - anyone can obtain donation items, and you can get a full King set just from voting. Not to mention all of our knight/legendary quests which are only a few stats less than their donation counterparts. If what Ferdok suggested didn't work, you need to make sure you're fully patched. If you can't patch, download our manual patch and extract it to your Forsaken RO folder. :)

The forsaken knight set (from the knight quest) and forsaken king set (from voting or donating) are better than the former elite items, so I wouldn't recommend wasting anything on getting them. :)
