Thank you everyone for your patience and understanding as we've been going through this difficult time with the server. Although we have DDoS protection, we've been experiencing extremely large attacks against the server that exceed our protection. Genesis has been working around the clock with our host to try to do everything in his power to stop the attacks. I want to assure everyone that nothing is going to happen to the server, and we will not close. We all love the server too much for that to happen. We've just celebrated over 7 years of ForsakenRO, and have become more successful than we ever thought possible and continue to grow. That's thanks to you, all of our awesome players! You all are what makes the server so special. This isn't the first time someone has been jealous of our success and the high quality RO experience we provide. This has happened a few times in the past, and we always get through it. We are all dedicated 110% to the server and we aren't going anywhere. We'll keep doing everything we can until we find a way to resolve the issue. We hope everyone will understand our situation and continue to be patient and supportive like you have been. Hi all, Just a quick update: our host is experiencing some issues. They're working to resolve it and it will be fixed as soon as possible. Please bear with us and be patient!

Happy birthday, Genesis! The best administrator RO has ever known. ;) We really appreciate your dedication and love of fRO, and all of the countless hours you invest to make the server the best it can be. Hope you had an awesome birthday! :)

There actually is a non-donation/questable version of the artifacts/belts, which are the Legendary Gauntlets. They are only 5 stats less, and don't have a slot. :)

Try the following: This means you have not yet set up your setup.exe. Follow these steps: Go to your RO folder Open the setup application by double clicking it. At the top bar select your graphic card Select the resolution that you want (Always pick one lower or equal to your current resolution, not higher). Press OK. Right click your setup application and click run as administrator. Select the resolution that you want (Always pick one lower or equal to your current resolution, not higher). Press OK. Start the game by double clicking FkenRO.exe Your client should now work.

This is a network issue. Although people are no longer disconnecting frequently, it make take a few tries to log in. This is only temporary and should be resolved by our host soon. :)

Also, there is no "secret" event going on. All of our events are broadcasted and/or posted on the forums. We also would never give away 20k tokens. If anyone claims this, please report them to a GM immediately!

You can also exchange zeny for tokens as well. :) However, there's more profit from selling MvP cards. Once you have a card, you broadcast in game or post on the forums you're selling the card for x amount of tokens. Any interested buyers will contact you, and then you make the exchange. :) There's also other options, like getting quest requirements or consumables and selling those. Though you do always have the option of getting geared without tokens. We offer a full donation set via voting, and you can do the legendary quests to get gear that is only a few stats less than their donation counterparts. :)

Hi everyone! We're experiencing some network issues along with some other servers. This means you may experience trouble logging in on occasion. Okay, this is a scammer, not a hacker. This guy is a moron who preys on people who don't know any better. First of all, notice how every time "GM Genesis" types, the wefewfwef gibberish name always says something stupid first. That's because he is merely going "blah [GM]Genesis: u g3t b4n" to make it LOOK like Genesis is in there. If a GM is in the chat, you will ALWAYS see our name listed in the right side of the chat. We cannot enter chats that are already full, either. That's true about DST, but since the server is hosted in the U.S. the server time automatically changes based on DST. When I was mentioning possibly changing the time for GvG, I was thinking more along the lines of how we have European and Asian-Pacific WoEs. We could possibly move one of the weekly GvGs to a completely different time that would better accommodate our international players, and see if that helps with participation. I don't know why they aren't participating, but it's been an issue whether or not we give out a prize, so I don't think the reason is because they're trying to prevent you from getting a prize.

I'm already aware of the situation, as all of the winners of these events are logged in the GM Event Logs. What you're saying doesn't really add up either, but I'm not interested in arguing more about this, but rather discussing solutions to the problem. :)

I really have a hard time believing that's the reason people aren't participating in GvG. That everyone other than your guild would decide among themselves not to attend just to punish your guild? It seems a little far fetched, though it may not be impossible. Although even when we have just been handing out the prizes, they don't participate then either. This has been an issue for awhile now though, and continuing to give out the prize isn't fixing it either, so it seems like a stalemate either way. I'd be interested in any suggestions anyone might have on what we can do to encourage participation in GvG. Giving 2x prizes would clearly benefit the only guild that's participating, and I'm not sure doing that would even encourage more participation if there are other underlying issues causing this.

I don't think guilds should get a free handout just for showing up at an event. The purpose of giving a prize is to reward a guild for their hard work winning. I think the real issue here is why more people aren't participating in GvG. If we're able to address this, then prizes won't be an issue. Is it because guilds aren't able to attend due to the time? If so we'd consider changing the time of one of the GvGs (or both, if that's what players would prefer). I'd be interested in hearing what everyone has to say about this.

Dear fRO community, We're looking to you for ideas on how we can revamp and improve the Dragon Knight system a.k.a the Order of the Dragon! What are new and interesting features we can add to it, and how can we make it more appealing and rewarding for you? Does the system need a new name and/or terminology changes? We'd love to hear your thoughts on this, since we hope to continuously improve it and make it an important cornerstone of the server. Looking forward to discussing this with everyone! :)

It definitely won't go on in until Christmas, it will probably be removed around the same time the next update is released in November, but Genesis will know for sure. :) We'll try to allow a week or two of warning before we remove it.

We believe that the host issues have been resolved (but don't want to make an official announcement or anything until we are 100% sure). The issues we were having were very specific, and I don't believe it would cause disconnects. I've been in game for over 48 hours without disconnecting, so I don't think it's a server issue. I'd be interested in hearing if more people are experiencing this though, and how frequently, etc.
