I really don't believe Fro is likely to be sued at all. First of all we have generally like 200-350 ppl on at once so our community is very small compared to this WoW server. I don't know how many people donate nor how much donation revenue the server makes but I'm 99.9999% certain that it isn't anywhere close to the $3,000,000 that the Admin of the WoW server made... I've seen Genesis mention paying out of his own pocket, so if anything we're around at a very small margin of funding... maybe even negative at times. The way the court system works is that if she (the admin of the WoW server) is sued for $88 million then she will pay everything she has, the court will liquidate all of her belongings (house, car, all assets) and give all of this money to Blizzard. She'll have to file for bankruptcy for this to happen seeing how there is no way she's going to just fork over 88 million. After all her assets are liquidated then she'll probably serve some jail time and once she gets out she won't owe Blizzard anymore money... she'll have to completely start over in life. The Admin here was most likely warned before charges were pressed. Most companies send a warning if they feel you are infringing on their property and demand that you stop. She was probably just dumb and didn't take their advice or change her way of doing things... It's hard for a company to overlook someone making millions off of their property.

So for those of you who don't know who Blizzard is they are the company that owns and runs World of Warcraft. They filed a lawsuit against a private server owner (Alyson Reeves) about a year or two ago and recently the courts reached a decision and have ruled in favor of Blizzard. They decided the owner of the pServer should pay about $85 million in damages, $3 million is disgorged profits and $64,000 in attorney fees. The private server in question has been proven to have made over $3,000,000 in revenues from "donations" through paypal from their users. Heres an article if you want to read the full thing: http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/29936/B...ment_Aga....php I thought this was a bit relevant to us seeing how we play a private server and I hope players not only appreciate the time/effort spent into making the server fun but also appreciate the fact that people like Genesis put their own necks on the line in order for us to play. Of course Genesis isn't making millions from us and of course we are no where near as large of a community (the $85 million was based off of 427,000 members @ $200 each). But, the case does set precedent and makes it much easier for other gaming companies to sue private servers and win. WoW is a much more popular game and Blizzard is a pretty big company so I don't think RO players have as much to worry about though.

Everyone has their own interpretation of what "the best" is. If player X is just as good as player Y but player Y tends to be more helpful to people or generally a better person to play the game with then I would vote Y as the better or "best" player. Original post asked who you think the "Best Players" are. Your attitude has a lot to do with what kind of player you are. This is just how I look at it, everyone has their own opinion :) ps: Micheal Jordan was the best because of his general demeanor and attitude toward the game while simultaneous being an amazing athlete. If he had his athletic ability but was cocky or an ass to his peers/teammates he would not have been as great as he was. Sorry, I know Micheal Jordan is off-topic lol, I'm just trying to make my point of view easier to understand.

ILY2 Bobo! Anyhow... I don't know how you guys measure "best"... The way I look at it you get +points for being good at your class but - points for being... well... an ass about it... whats the point of being good if no one likes you? So here are my favorites. Champ: Xerg/Yuku Clown: Bobo SinX: Drax High Priest: Dr Tran, but he retired and I'm the only HP now... Ninja: Mello Stalker: Sessions Sniper: Greater Than Gravity Professor: Edu Lord Knight: Supreamus Paladin: Neurotic Wizzard: That random guy that warps in, Storm Gusts and warps out. Well, first of all everyone says be yourself... this is true to the point that you don't want to give her a false idea of who you are but don't go overboard with this, yourself when your hanging with your guy friends is most likely going to be different than when you're with her... You shouldn't be spilling out every detail of yourself either. If you want the relationship to work and to last try hard to focus on what she says and remember it... It's ok to debate things or have a different point of view but be respectful of hers... As far as conversation... just think of a topic that you find really interesting... she doesn't necessarily have to understand it as long as you really care and are passionate about it she'll probably still respect you and find it interesting as well. You don't want her initiating all of your conversations so try to remember the topics she brings up and think of similar ones later. Example: I talk financial markets to girls who don't even know what a bond is and they still seem to enjoy it. Girls I hang around tend to be big into sciences (Biology/Chemistry) so I ask random science questions... just get them talking. If you're having problems thinking of things to say on the spot then think about it when you're alone or have free time... make notes, write out thoughts that you have or even write her something (girls love that). A sure fire way to get a girl to talking your head off is to ask her about herself. "How are you? / How was your day? / What do you think about ____?.... etc.."

It's a problem every game faces. There will be more traffic in the summer because the general player base is something around ages 10-20 (I'm guessing) and these age groups have more free time in the summer. The younger players are probably more likely to continue to play during the rest of the year as middle school and high school isn't really that demanding but college students will most likely be inactive. I say we need more players in general, regardless of season. It's difficult to find people who play at the same rate year round. I think the server will pull through though. I go inactive during my college semesters then play during my breaks and it's worked out fine so far.

Well if you suspect people are just doing it to get attention and the topics aren't legitimate why have the section at all? I don't see the point.

So I've noticed this but I never really brought it up and I haven't seen it brought up before: Why can't we post in the Farewell threads? When people quit they post and say goodbye but players aren't allowed to tell them goodbye. I find this very weird and I as well as others (I would imagine) would like to be able to tell people farewell when they decide to leave. I could understand if posts asking for items were deleted but not being able to reply to threads at all seems really weird to me. I'm suggesting it be changed so that we can post in the threads made at this part of the forum.

Could you fix the description for the Priest Weapon please? I listed some problems with it in an earlier post. Thanks for the hard work though and looking forward to what ever is next.

I understand the point of the weapon and it's potential usefulness, I just feel Stalkers have been given enough already. You're right that Stalkers are capable of numerous builds and that most of these can not be made entirely useful with Bow/Magic weapons but I think that if we keep giving Stalkers more and more then most people will just play Stalker. I hate to see a server's population consist of mostly one or two classes and I think the GM team is trying to spread out the abilities of these weapons so that people will actually play more classes. I would agree to this "Poking Stick" weapon being implemented much later on after all the other classes have had their weapons implemented and potentially more than one for other classes.

Well, I've been playing RO for a very long time and I'll tell you that no matter what... on any server with any rates you'll always find drama. It just happens because of how social RO is. And on every forum there are trolls who just want to try to annoy people... this is also inevitable. If it means anything to you I liked your suggestion. However, in the slim chance that it was accepted I don't think it would have been implemented for a very long time seeing how the staff team here seems pretty busy working on other things (more important things). In any case sorry your thread will be tarnished by that... Hope you're not discouraged from suggesting other things because you did make the suggestion properly.

I really don't think this is necessary. As others have said you can just use GTB. Forcing people to use GTB card by using dispel tactics is an important strategy in pvp for some players. If you want the benefits of GTB you have to take it's drawbacks as well.

What style weapons is the "Poking Stick" supposed to be? A sword? I really don't think Stalkers need another weapon... that would give them three... and bowling bash dmg is already high enough with the bow I think. I like everything else though Nines.

I don't think newbie gear should have a lvl 255 req. I think the quest should be available when ever they want to do it if not immediately upon making the new character. The sprites shouldn't be and don't have to be the best looking. Actually looking better gives them something to strive for other than stats/bonuses. I like the ones you have posted Edu.

Lol @ Pillow fights. Well, if you can find someone to sprite this then I'll agree to it. I think if it would be better if it was a quest item than a donation item. Something like: xxxx fluff xxxx feather xxx harpy feather xxx peco peco feather xxx fabric +10% hp/sp .05% chance of coma 5% chance of casting decrease agility when hit 5% chance of inflicting "Sleep" status on enemy There may be more pressing issues to our development team atm though, even the current donation weapons aren't perfected or completely fixed.

Yeah, I would suggest combining some of the suggestions here. Add vit belts, taos, and skolls as well as divest/dispel gear. A coma weapon would also work if you're willing to wait long enough... Also, Grimtooth isn't reflected I believe.
