Ok, here are some issues with the Strike Eagle I've noticed (with the help of Ethereal lol). It says it casts Lex Aeterna when attacking, but actually casts Lex Divinia... Lex Divinia is pretty useless on our server. The bottom of the description on the scythe also says int+2 matk +15%, I think this is an error. I think the weapon should be classified as a Mace, not a rod. Priests have Mace Mastery which in this case will help their physical attack. I have also made suggestions in my High Priest suggestion thread about changing the auto Kyrie: http://forum.forsaken-ro.net/index.php?sho...40&start=40

I knew I could get a legitimate post out of you Nines :) Thanks for the input. I agree with Veracity that if you make big nerfs to donation items (taking away 20% reduction is a big nerf obviously) people will be upset and it isn't exactly the best way to show your appreciation to the people who donated. I also understand, however, that everything in the server is subject to change at the Administrations desire to do so. So, when I donate I put my faith in the GM team to make the fairest decisions possible. As long as the changes seem fair to me and have legitimate reasons for the change I'll be happy. Balancing at 10% reduction and 10% more damage is fair to me and legitimate arguments have been made for the change. I don't know of any other people who main stalker and have the weapon ATM. If I see any I'll try to convince them to read this topic and share their thoughts.

@Supream: Reducing the reduction to 10% would put even the best reduction stalker to the point my stalker is at now, and I'm far from being unkillable. @Nines: Sorry, I misread about woe/gvg. I'm sorry but I can't just accept that you've tested every weapon and find it OP. It's all opinionated and the only opinions that matter are the GMs. We can try to sway these opinions or provide input, but at the end of the day they make the decisions. I don't think "-Tested every weapon- Decision OP. Nerf and Terf!" is a good enough response to advocate changing a weapon. Do you have proof? Numbers/Calculations? Screenshots? True PvP experience? (not you just standing there hitting or being hit by your alt account/buddy)

Influence doesn't use stalkers in WOE as much as other guilds I've seen, but thats a bit offtopic. I'm fine with what me and Sessions have compromised on. We would both prefer it different ways but it's important to be able to come to agreement with this kind of stuff. I agree with Veracity, we could use more input from Stalker users. Me and Sessions use them quite a bit, but I know others use them as well... I just don't know how many actually have the bow.
-
Ok Sessions, It's kind of clear we're at very opposing sides of this. I'll try to reach a compromise given what we've stated. You're right about a few things: 1. You can't Asura with bow. (I don't know what I was thinking... It's been a while since I've used this build lol) 2. I don't have fluffy/SGW. (I trust your opinion here because I know you're good with Stalkers and know how to use your equipment properly) But I think there are some misunderstandings: 1. I wasn't directing the "omgz I can't do uber dmg to you therefore you're OP" at you, sorry if you took it that way. I've ran into multiple people who realize they can't just go full dmg and begin to rage and call me OP. This is really frustrating because I honestly do not feel the equips that my stalker has makes it OP, maybe with fluffy/SGW... but not with what I currently have. 2. Double Strafe isn't reflect-able from a paladin, but I don't feel that DS is going to be dropping any Paladins. The main stalker damage builds that I see are Bowling Bash, Martyr's Reckoning, and various matk based builds (all of which are reflect-able). 3. True, you have never said the damage is horrible, but I can still do more damage with a copied skill than the original classes at this point. It doesn't really matter what hat I'm using, if they boost dmg from the bow more then the hat will increase the damage even further which I don't think is fair to the classes who actually have the skill. 20% more wouldn't help DS much, you're right, but it will boost other skills that have a higher damage output by a lot (Martyr/Bowling). If I already average 20k Bowlings on people and you boost this damage 20% thats a 4k increase... which is a little much. If my average Martyr is 75k (which is very easy to do) boosting it 20% puts it at 90k. Now if we look at my maximums: 90k BB x1.2 = 108k, and my max Martyr 545k x1.2 = 654k. Now, these are very specific circumstances, but still something to take into consideration. (None of these damage calculations included a Paladin buff) 4. The donation bow does have some similarities to the elite and rental, but it is still very different because of the ability to 1 hand it and the reductions. Ok, here is where I try to compromise: 1. I will take your word for it that the fluffys and SGW make the reductions too high. I trust that you've tested this. Now, you say my current set up isn't really OP... so how about we drop the reductions on the Donation bow to 10%? This would put you where I am now, right? : Not OP. So don't completely remove the reductions, but nerf it still. 2. As I've said above, I'm still against increasing the damage... but in the interest of compromise I can see maybe a 5-10% bow-type weapon damage increase. I appreciate you're enthusiasm for the class, and I know it's one of your favorites, as well as mine, sorry if you took anything I said as a personal attack.

There are other ways besides coma. You can always strip or break gear. If the person is using Santa Poring they have a weakness to freeze, unless they use anti freezing cards which will lower their HP, or a scarf which will lower their reductions. There is also stone curse and auto dispel to make them lose their preserved skills rendering them pretty useless. A frozen enemy can't berry and if they go anti freeze their hp or reductions drop. A good combo for SinX is a freezing weapon + a coma weapon or a armor/weapon breaker + EDP. Yes, your enemy will take longer to kill, but it is still possible... you just have to think outside of pure damage output. If you really want to go pure damage output you can still use Sonic Blow effectively vs these reductions if you're linked. A champion can also break gear, freeze, and asura fairly quickly... just ask CoolGirl. Clowns can force you to gtb then spam AV, or you can suck it up and tank AV and get coma'ed. Professors can still do good enough dmg if you're not wearing GTB. They can also dispel and strip your shield. Paladins can wear reflect gear and reflect any damage you do right back at you, regardless of your reductions. These are just a few very basic examples, can people on this server focus more on strategy other than the "omgz I can't do uber dmg to you therefore you're OP"? @Damage increase: I can currently do more damage with bowling bash than LKs. I can do more Martyr damage than Paladins. Stalkers don't need a further damage increase. There's no telling how much damage a proper Asura Stalker would do (haven't tested it yet). I don't know why you think your damage is so horrible... It's true that the Stalker donation weapon doesn't really follow the elite and rental weapons... But there are other classes that don't either.

Hi and welcome to the server. If you have any questions about the server feel free to PM me. My main characters are Priest: Father Xtopher and Stalker: .Xt0pher Most players hang out in Forsaken City (@go 25) and the map from the south exit of Forsaken City (@warp for_fild01). Your English is fine, I'm sure you can communicate with the English speaking community. I'm also sure there will be people here that speak in your native language.... we have a lot of different people from different places.

^ lol I imagine something along these lines: "A short essay on how I will find you and burn your house down."

@Supream: We're not talking about the whole server here, just one class. I really just don't agree that stalkers should be a high damage output class. Their advantage is their survivability and versatility, not being able to spit out massive damage. You're insinuating a slippery slope here... the only class in question in terms of reductions to damage here is stalkers. But, like all other suggestions, this comes down to GM decision. I'll give my opinion, but I don't want to really argue about it... I am a big advocate of focusing on the various classes core proficiencies though... I think it's important to stick and build on what the classes are meant for. If anyone actually wants to learn how to counter the reductions with different strategies (because it is very possible) then let me know and I can help you test things ingame.... but don't expect pure damage builds to work.
-
Well, I lean more toward the reductions side of things. With the current set up my damage is enough to kill opponents, I'm definitely not useless vs fcp with certain builds. I also really feel, as you guys have mentioned, stalkers are meant for their elusiveness and survivability. The thief class branches off into two separate fields: Assassins are meant for high DPS (damage per second) while taking more damage. They excel in quick kills and dangerous poison techniques. Rogues (Stalkers) are meant for survivability and versatility. They are given the ability to copy others class's skills as well as wield multiple types of weapons with multiple builds for different battle situations. So, I feel the reductions fit the class more so than beefing up their damage output. Another note: This server is VERY damage output oriented. For example the big pvp classes are the classes that can dish out the most damage: Champions, Assassin Cross, Clowns, and occasionally Gunslingers/Professors. I do not think we should attempt class balance by just boosting damage outputs. Paladins are meant to tank, Priests support, and Stalkers are meant to survive. We should focus on the different class' core attributes and roles in the game and build on them from there. The class is still very kill-able with the current set up and I don't feel a boost in damage is appropriate. Like the above people have stated this is all opinionated and subject to personal interpretation of the classes.
-
Yeah, I have one.... therefore I would know more about what it's capable of than you. I've tested builds and fought various classes to test. I think it's way too early to be demanding nerfs on the weapons. Maybe improvements, bug fixes, or even suggestions for other class weapons, but not nerfs. I think the GM team had the best intentions and knew what they were doing when they developed them. It seems to me people just want things to be easy so that they can just go with full damage output builds and expect to be able to kill everything in their path. There are ways around reductions... I've been killed by SinX, Clown, Champions, and Professor. This is all my opinion, of course, I'm not going to argue about it. If the GMs feel it should be nerfed then they will do so...

Hello Twinkle Toes, nice to meet you. Some people are so stupid.
-
Yea Asura would definitely make it more interesting. The only good and effective battle Priest I've ever seen is Dr. Tran, but he seems to have a good bit more items/money at his disposal than most other players (no offense intended, he's still good). Switching the chance of auto casting lex to when you're being hit and a small chance at Asura when hitting your opponent would be the most desirable. I noticed that you guys gave Lord Knights and Clowns a chance at coma while attacking... and these are offensive classes so I don't think giving Priests asura would be too outrageous. It's not like you can't wear reductions, push back skills, stone curse, root, hide, backslide, or snap to avoid it. I also think the Kyrie could be removed from the Highness Staff as well. Maybe give them a small chance at coma or a large % chance of auto casting heal on themselves when hit. I feel that would suit the weapon. In any case I'm glad you realize the issue with Kyrie, at least that could be removed.

Some guy claiming to be Drax asked me if he could "test" some of my gears the other day. Why would Drax need my gears? lmao. Moral of the story is be very sure people are who they say they are before having anything to do with them!
-
Maybe you guys should try something other than just pure damage output? Of course the reductions are going to kill your damage... why keep trying to maximize damage output? There are other ways. It's the same case of gtb vs mages. A mage can do no magical damage if the user is wearing a gtb, but you for one Nines are still fully capable of killing them (because you know the proper strategy). If you want to know: BoBo does about 24k AV on me with reductions (I consider BoBo a pretty good Clown). He can spam this 3x fairly quickly meaning 72k easily and occasionally 4x = 96k. This isn't much damage, but if he goes Taroting I really should switch to gtb at this point to avoid coma. Once I switch to GTB his damage jumps dramatically and he is fully capable of dropping me. Whats more, he can strip my gear or break it with Tarot. Clowns aren't the only class capable of being versatile with their strategies. You simply have to rethink your opponent. This is one example, Clowns aren't the only ones capable of killing Stalkers either. You just need to stop the pure damage output (I know it's a hard concept for this server) and try a different strategy.
-
I agree. I really don't think this server will ever have those classes. I mean, we already have a difficult time finding balance between classes that have existed for years. It's no simple task.

Welcome to the server! If you have questions feel free to find me at the top of the map at in for_fild01 (or just leave @go 25 through the south exit). Or you can try to PM me, my mains are .Xt0pher and Father Xtopher Hope you enjoy your stay here. If anyone gives you any trouble with PKing/PvP let me know :)

So I have yet to find someone with the Highness Staff for Priests but I have the Strike Eagle so I figured I would comment on it. Strike Eagle (High Priest only) Effect: Increase damage on demi humans by 30%, 5% chance of auto casting Kyrie Eleison when receiving physical damage, MATK + 25% Holy Light + 10% damage Int + 25, Str + 20, Dex + 20, Max HP + 25% 5% chance of casting level 1 Lex Aeterna on an enemy when doing Physical Attack Over all its an OK weapon. Priests at their core can't really do much pvp wise but this weapon does help some. The one thing I do not like, however, is the auto casting of Kyrie. This is actually more of a hindrance than helpful because if you're being attacked this cancels out your Assump which means your enemy will do much more damage. I would suggest either one of three options here: 1. Make it a chance of casting Assump, or 2. Remove this effect completely. Or 3: if you guys really want to help Priests in pvp or make this weapon sell more you could also change the Kyrie thing to like a x% chance of casting Asura Strike. Asura is easily countered. I don't think this would make Priests over powered but it would definitely help them defend themselves. Adding Asura would also make the name more suiting: Asura Strike - Strike Eagle. PS: I really like the sprite of the Strike Eagle, scythes are freaking awesome!

You can't go 100% reductions, please read previous posts. Stalkers are still very killable you just have to change strategy for them now instead of blindly using full asura. I've tested gear with a couple champs and I know it's still very possible to be killed wearing the reductions you're mentioning. Yes, a one handed bow with reductions does make stalkers better in pvp than they were, but it does not make them the best by far. A Clown, a Champ, and a Sinx can still easily drop a stalker with the right strategy. Try different techniques and give the new weapons some time before making conclusions like this. Stalkers are meant for survivability and elusive techniques. -Edit-: Just a FYI: I was capable of surviving full asura with 2 taos before the stalker bow was ever implemented so even if the reductions are changed that won't change. Just gotta try something other than expecting a one hit kill from asura.

1. I would really like this. It would give people who frequent the forum a easier way to chat than posting topics as well as a channel to help new people if they have immediate questions without them having to make topics. 2. I support if the GM team has time for it. 3. I definitely would like to see more forum activity/events! They are trying to do this already and I think it's working.
-
Well you can't trade votes... You wouldn't get uber rich if 10 votes = donation.... thats 10 days. You would have to find a different Ip for each account anyway. If anything it would super boost the voting amount done something I know the GMs are shooting for.
-
If anyone does start an independent guild to help people let me know and I'll join. I like your idea Som... Educating them about the point of the dungeon is important.
-
I know right? It's been like 3 hours and we already have a lot of experienced players giving good ideas :) Oh, and btw we could give the newbie weapons the skill steal or the Rogue's Snatcher skill so they can grab more items while killing/farming. I like the idea of quest-able rucky! It should be a normal poring... or does one of those already exist?
-
I like the weight limit idea. They could have things like "3% chance of ygg seed dropping when killing xx monster" (just an example). I like the idea of the set and the farming working hand in hand. This will help the whole beginner process a lot.
