I have not used my homun to try and loot things, cuz it sounded like it would end up having people do afk farming with homun, which is not allowed.

What Is The Safe Limit To Upgrade Legendary Weapon?
Rayray replied to zerogenji's topic in General Discussion
Which is why I took advantage and bought + 10 sets and saved myself alot of tokens :D -
I agree to this, although people will argue that it is "free for all" in for_fild. If that is the case, they should just allow us to pk low levels since they should not be going to for_fild01 to level anyway.
-
Not exactly, they are not least used due to ice wall anyway, they are least used due to hp. It was disabled(I believe) due to people spamming it. I have not seen a wizard besides me, heha, brian and gurkak utilize ice wall for pvp, everyone else just annoys people. But I do agree on enabling it, we just need to find ways to not let people spam it. The delay of 2.5 seconds should not be done. Limiting the number of casts, we can make it like around 6-8 ice walls, that should work for gvg and br if you have other wizards in the team.

What Is The Safe Limit To Upgrade Legendary Weapon?

I for one do not mind upgrading all the helm, armor, boots, and cloak. While thanatos card is indeed there, the ring + skoll cards already reduce the def by a huge margin, and having +10 armor sets does not matter as long as you are using skoll cards on cloak. Also, tons of people get negative defense when using ring + skoll and that just increases the damage taken when enemies are not using incantation cards since you have negative defense. In general, you should not upgrade it if you use 1x skoll. 2x skoll will bring your def to a negative number that it won't matter if you are using +10 armors. -
What he said. :p I do repeat what I said though, almost every veteran that needs a thana uses the scrolls ever since floating rates came up. We use it as a "filler" when thana has just been summoned and we have to wait. And we had a few event tokens going around and we do not have any use for it.
-
Still depends on luck, and alot of us did that, it is mostly for lazy people, usually we do the normal way thana is summoned + scrolls while waiting for it to reset.
-
Also, do not blame not being able to use ice wall as the reason why wizards are underplayed. They have terrible HP at the moment even with the best gears you can get for the class, when that changes and they can get around 200k hp without much of a hassle(kinda like profs), they will be played more often. But at the moment, having 140-170k hp max is not worth it for a class that has a one card counter(GTB)
-
While it does pain me that wizards cannot use the ice wall skill in fild for good use(walling someone from behind + having an LK Bowling bash the enemy), it is indeed abused more to annoy everyone. The best way to stop abuse is to limit the cast to about 3 ice walls only( you cannot cast another icewall as long as your other three ice walls are still up). On WoE, hell no. It is far too abusable there. Anyone who claims that they quit wizard because ice wall is not allowed in WoE should not have used the wizard class in the first place.

Choice Band will be on Garchomp since I can literally make him stuck on outrage if needed. I normally get the speed natures for some reason, then I just compute and reduce the EVs on speed a little since all I need is to get enough speed. Lastly, I just checked and Mega Gengar's ability is Shadow Tag, which makes it more OP. Probably be using Taunt/Disable, Focus Blast, Sludge Wave and Destiny Bond on it.
-
Yeah but in my case, the natures aren't so bad. Like I want an attack nature but I got a speed nature instead. Not bad I guess. I would have been pissed if I want attack and got special defense. I'll try lapras cuz it has perish song :D I am not sure where to get Dratini in pokemon y yet so Dragonite needs to hold on for a bit. ShadowBall for gengar is sure, meanlook as well. ill check sucker punch and I'd rather use hypnosis than confuse ray. Destiny bond is sort of nice, in case gengar cannot kill much and I am sure the big 3 (Lucario, Garchomp, Talonflame) would be able to take care of the rest. Also, I forgot to add, if it comes to using Gengar, I can mega evolve him(and mega gengar is pretty OP) and just use Life Orb/Focus sash/Choice Band on Lucario since he does not really need to mega evolve to be OP. Mega Gengar is OP as hell, but not as OP as mega kanghaskan.
-
Actually it goes like this. Lucario will lead either with his mega stone or focus sash. Gyrados is there to cover lucario's weakness, and garchomp is there to cover for gyrados. then lucario covers for garchomp. basically, those three counter each others' counters. If I can get garchomp to use stealth rock this would be better, but not necessary imo. In all honesty, Lucario will probably kill off anything using close combat or extremespeed as long as it does not resist it. and i don't really care if gyrados dies because for sure whoever killed it will die on lucario or garchomp by the next turn. Or I probably should find a better water type. any suggestions or starmie would suffice? If starmie suffice, should I get dragonite instead? Nature of those three is probably jolly or adamant, although I barely care for it as much. It does help having the right nature, but it isn't gamebreaking in my experience. Lastly, what is a good moveset for gengar?
-
Ok I did read a few more and some people advice me to get a decent core team for Lucario/Blaziken and not use them both at the same time since they fulfill similar roles anyway, that way I can either use mega lucario or mega blaziken in separate teams. Can you check if this is decent: Lucario, Gyrados, Garchomp as core which covers the weaknesses of Lucario, Talonflame for revenge killing or basically killing other sweepers(or to cover gyrados as well), Starmie as a Spinner to remove those annoying stealth rock people(and having BoltBeam is great as well) and Gengar/Aegislash to combat other rapid spinners. Replacing Lucario is Blaziken when I not needing a steel type and needing a Fire type(since mega venusaur is a beast) PS: Talonflame can be replaced by Blaziken if I will not be needing the +2 Priority (slower teams)
-
I kinda like the last one, but it is too bulky and not a bit transparent, that will suck as an aura imo. I was never a fan of huge ass wings(even I used gargoyle in this server, and I hated it). If it was a bit smaller and non constricting in a way, I can agree since if everyone in the server has those huge wings, it can spell annoyance in woe(angel of death wing already did that before)
-
^ nope, I would rather use Fluffy wings

It's fun winning on a semi complete team anyway. Honestly, I never had this much trouble in the Pokemon TCG tournaments(which I won a fair few fights). But then, people in the TCG community weren't as strict as people who follow Smogon. I mean in the Pokemon TCG, the only banned cards I knew were promotional ones(cards you win in tournaments) while Smogon is banning anything that can sweep teams that are stupid. If they ban Talonflame due to its priority ability, all hell breaks lose. So in my projected team if and only if I get a gengar in time: Lucario, Blaziken, Talonflame, Aegislash, Gardevoir and Gengar. Goodluck to me when will I get that Gengar.
-
Tons of stuff were introduced in the 6th gen that primarily focusing on baton pass can become a disaster. Probably would take Gengar then or it really will depend on the enemy at that point because I do believe that Lucario and Blaziken are huge threats already
-
I am actually trying to breed Lucario since he can also do sptk sweeping. So depending on the situation, I might bring out a Lucario that is focused on sptk. So going speed on gardevoir is a bit useless? I already thought of using Psychic and Calm Mind though. Shadow ball might be good as well. I think Aegislash can provide the tanking most of the time due to its typing. So if I do get Gardevoir, I need a last pokemon that might either be a support or just a plain sptk sweeper at that point.
-
My reason of using aegislash is simple, tons of sweepers nowadays use physical hits. Aegislash's King Shield skill makes it revert to shield mode and any pokemon that hit with a physical(ie connecting like most of fighting skills) will get its attack harshly lowered. If that happens, I can SD away on aegislash and he can even get enough power to 2HKO most tanks as sacred sword hurts. That also means I won't need speed on Aegislash, meaning i can take 252 hp/ 252 atk EV on it. Talonflame's priority will be my counter on the same pokemon I have(Lucario and Blaziken) and with its priority, I don't even need high Spd. I can go HP ATK and little spd and be done with it. Probably be using Choice Band or something else and just Brave Bird away, and roost when needed. I see Talonflame as a better Arcanine with its go-in-and-damage-everything-before-I-die kind of pokemon. I think those 4 are pretty solid. I probably take your advice and get Gardevoir and Magnezone. Any advice on Gardevoir's move set and ev? Also, I might trade for a friend's Greninja( the water starter) due to its ability to change its type depending on the skill used.
-
I also used to have a Snorlax for tanking(rest + sleep talk and curse to annoy the hell out of people), however with the introduction of that fighting skill called Close Combat(that lucario can get), snorlax gets OHKO no matter what his HP is considering he is fighting a 252 atk/ 252 spd Adamant Mega Lucario(which shots his atk stat more) with just one SD. Hell, if a mega blaziken high jumps kicks him after getting SD he dies as well. So Snorlax had fallen from his grace. Gardevoir seems like a weak version of a Psychic pokemon I could get(gengar and alakazam both have mega as well, same with gardevoir) however, I see Gardevoir as a big support now that it is Psychic/Fairy type, that makes it immune to Dragon. I still haven't had a good moveset for it though. Golduck is basically there until I get a better Water sptk sweeper and to counter rain/weather teams. I was thinking of using Aegislash as a good Tank, ghost+steel is a good defensive typing imo. So basically my team could be this : Lucario with Life Orb, Blaziken with Blazikenite(the stone needed for mega) or vice versa(lucario with the mega stone, blaziken with life orb), Aegislash with leftovers+assault vest for tanking, Talonflame with choice band for revenge killing. So that leaves me missing 2 final pokemons. Golduck, Gardevoir and Pikachu/Jolteon/Magnezone are all situational picks. I might get a physical baton passer(Ninjask, Gliscor and Scizor comes to mind) just to setup Lucario or Blaziken, however it might not be as needed since most of the time people will be switching out if I took out Lucario or Blaziken so I can guess when they will switch out and SD there. Lastly, if it comes to it, I will probably use Mewtwo since he probably is still the most OP pokemon out there that is still manageable.
-
I definitely agree to this. I can understand Arceus and probably Mewtwo to be in the Uber tier, but I just can't understand how they banned blaziken when there are tons of counters to it(but the counters are gone since they BANNED them too). At the moment, I am still looking for a decent wall in 6th gen(my 5th gen games were destroyed in a storm so no luck there). Hell, Smogon ranked my Weezing in bw/bw2 so low even though it was really decent. Atm, the team i have have 3 atk sweepers(Lucario and Blaziken as Setup Sweepers, Talonflame as a semi-sweeper/suicide/burn inducing revenge killer), and 3 sptk sweepers(Golduck to eliminate rain teams due to his ability, Gardevoir for trace ability, and a Nasty Plotting Pikachu with Light Ball). Pikachu will probably be replaced by Gengar, Alakazam, Mr.Mime(if I do decide to do baton pass calm mind to a sptk sweeper) or even Jolteon if it comes to needing electric type, but pikachu does well if enemy is a bit stupid and tried to setup on it instead of killing it outright, as I sweeped ONE team with just pikachu + nasty plot + light ball as it became onpar with mewtwo's damage Basically, I want a balanced team so I will probably replace one sptk or one atk with a decent wall to stall and do random stuff like poison or burn or even paralyze. I am still debating if I would need a baton passer to setup one of the sptk sweepers(only Mr. Mime comes to mind as I have no access to lower generation especially now Mr.Mime is a psychic/fairy which makes it immune to dragon, and tons of people use dragon types >.<). Although I just tried with a friend of mine, Mega Lucario is indeed a very strong sweeper if he lives after doing one sword dance. Mega Blaziken is a bit OP in that regard since he can use Protect and gain Speed Boost next turn, use Sword Dance if the enemy will switch and just high jump kick to infinity. I probably will just use mega evolution on Lucario(as you can only do one per battle) and just use Life Orb on Blaziken(or Choice Band). What do you think will I be missing(aside from the good and decent tanks/walls that I should have gotten from bw/bw2)? EDIT: I think having both lucario and blaziken on one team is not needed as both can sweep on their own once SD is up. So either I use one of them(at least I only have one Mega on the team) and get one extra slot on my team. And of course, replacing Pikachu is also a priority once that slot is filled up. I was thinking of using Aegislash as a bit of a tank/damager and anti-rapid spin, replacing Golduck with Gyrados if the enemy is not a rain team(or azumarill as I might need a decent water type), and finally replacing Pikachu either with evolving it to become Raichu(better speed and defense, can use life orb as an item, can still nasty plot and sweep teams) or use a beefier electric(Magnezone, Ampharos) OR a faster electric(Jolteon, etc). Or just to mess with people, use Mewtwo and just put thunderbolt as a skill.

I'm a bit inactive due to work and a friend of mine is asking help on his Pokemon Y team(he wants to do competitive battling with it in the next anime convention/pokemon tournament) so I literally have no time(training Pokemon have been my long time dedication). Anyone here that does competitive battling that are not using smogon rules(smogon is like an entity in pokemon battling but they ban a lot of pokemon due to them being a bit OP in their mind, which most of the time they really are not)
-
This has been suggested by mostly new players that go to this server. It has always been shutdown due to several reasons, one of which is that magic in this server probably has the highest burst damage attainable, especially on profs. GTB does not make wiz or prof useless in WoE, keep in mind that it is a team battle, if people went GTB, they are very much vulnerable to the physical classes. I pvp as a wiz for fun, again pvp in RO is generally a team fight so I don't really mind it, and I can stave my way in or even try stripping if I know they do not have fcp.

If we talk about "automation" in programming, it is indeed used. I myself automates tests(instead of me testing a web application one by one) as it saves me a lot of debugging time, but it takes me longer to develop the application(since I follow TDD(Test Driven Development or Test first, code later). However, you cannot catch everything in it, since computers are stupid compared to people. You cannot compare botting to what you do in life. You compare botting to cars? It takes hard work to make a car, takes hard work to buy a car, takes work to actually learn to drive a car. That is way different, you get the comfort of having the car and use it but you WORKED for it. You do NO hard work when botting and still reaps the rewards that some people got by not botting, that is different.
-
Just the point of having a program do the things you should be doing is already enough reason why it is illegal. Completely unfair for players who do not use bots.
