Alright please make sure that : 1 : Your graphic card drivers are fully updated. 2 : Your setup.exe has your graphics card (most likely nvidia or Ati) selected. 3 : Make sure the set resolution at Setup.exe matches your current screen resolution. 4 : Try running the client in administrator more if you aren't already. If you are running it in adminstrator mode and it closes automatically, try running it in none administrator mode as well. If all of the above does not work I would need to know which operating system you are using and perhaps some additional information as well. But try the above options first. Regards, Ryuk

This is caused by a corruption of files during updating. Please follow these steps : 1 : Download This file 2 : Unpack it into your RO folder. Overwrite all if it asks you to. 3 : Run the forsakenRO patcher and let it patch. 4 : Run the game. The helm should no longer error you. The link he posted is one of my older updates. It's used to overwrite possible corrupted or broken/missing files. The above link should also fix the poring letter, yes. Important note : Make sure you patch after unpacking that file and overwriting the files. Regards, Ryuk

Hey there, I'm afraid you have changed to the old IP.Board skin. This skin is currently bugged. However since the skin choice is saved on the host you wont be able to reset it yourself and the bugged skin is attached to your account. Already tried changing the ID numbers of the skins and such but that doesn't seem to work as it doesn't overwrite. I'm afraid that you'll have to use this other forum account for now. Genesis has been notified and the hosting company/IPB will most likely be contacted shortly, if not we'll most likely delete the skin and all current users of the skin would be resetted back to the default one. I'm fairly slow because I'm doing college stuff as well. It's not like I'm 24/7 on these forums. Besides I check the support topics and my personal messages more often than this topic. Sorry if I'm too slow for you at this moment, It's 2 am and I'm working late for college. Can't focus on both things. If the above files also dont work your last try would be trying to use this client : http://www.mediafire...qbvyhxauoaqjei0 If you still error with that, that would mean you're using files from different servers/locations than our own, which is not advised. Also. Please note that the little guides I post are different every time I post them. The instructions are the same but the links are different. This will probably work for you : 1 : Download This 2 : Once it's done downloading extract it into your folder and overwrite all. 3 : After that run your Forsaken-RO patcher 4 : It should now update and overwrite any possible corrupted files and update you completely. 5 : you should now be errorless xD. Welcome to the server, I have happened to stumble across this topic and of course have noticed you're not able to get in-game. Have you tried downloading the Manual update from here ? Please let me know, I'll make sure you'll be errorless very soon :).

I appreciate everyone trying to help, but her hearing from several different people to do different things is only getting confusing for her. If she still errors after the steps I posted above she should PM me and I will be able to fix her errors. Despite of the cause. Cause I'm pretty sure I know what's causing it already. Just because her patcher worked doesn't mean the problem lies within the client. Data files can be corrupted rather easily and UAC settings could be colliding as well. Client is a possibility but there's more to consider. If she wants to fix her errors all I'd need her to do is follow my steps and answer the questions that I ask her. PS to avoid any remarks. The link I posted is not the same link as the manual update. It's an link to an older update that I use to overwrite corrupted files (and there's quite a few)This link which will most likely fix any error she has if she follows he steps. Regards, Ryuk

Did your unpacking/extracting work though ? If it did then lets try this. 1 : Download this file. 2 : Extract the files into your RO folder and overwrite all if it asks you to. 3 : Then run the patcher and let it patch completely. 4 : Play the game. If you still error you're using an alternate client or alternate RO files. Ryuk

Users just seem to have no permission to change the info. Very weird. But it has already been elevated to superiors through a ticket. So it will be worked on !

Windows Vista and windows 7 both act up with WinRar and Winzip due to user access settings. Follow these steps to unpack properly : 1 Download the file mentioned earlier in this topic (Link to manual patch) 2 After you downloaded it, click on your windows icon at the bottom left of your screen 3 You will see a small search bar pop up beneath your last used applications. Type in Winrar. It will then show a file called winrar under the Programs tab. Right click it and run it as administrator. 4 Within Winrar locate the file you want to unpack (the manual patch file) and open it 5 Follow the normal extraction steps like you normally would. 6 You will now be allowed to extract/unpack the files without any errors from winrar and will be fully updated. Note. You will have to do this every time you try to unpack something. Let me know if anything is unclear and if it worked for you, ((For anyone that was able to unpack but still errors with the manual update files please PM me :))) Ryuk

Obviously above the statement that I could make it on fridays I've given you a perfectly legal explanation why I think it would not be wise to change it to thursdays. This explanation was completely objective. Besides with the amount of times I can WoE I could care less if it changed o.o I'm just giving you a legit point of view from most asians and europeans. Changing the EuroWoE to thursdays would decrease the amount of players big time. Asians would no longer be able to join it and most likely even less europeans would show up as well. Again, friday (last day of the work week for most) is oftenly a shorter work day than thursday

I'm gonna have to disagree with this. For europeans the WoE time is at 4PM atm. Which is indeed conflicting with work and school for a lot of people. However friday is oftenly a shorter workday/schoolday than thursday. Therefore I think it's not smart to move the WoE to thursdays. The current WoE time could be changed to a few hours later, however this would effect the asian community too much so I dont think this is a good option either. Ps. I'll be honest too. I can make it on friday most of the time. But thursdays would be impossible for me.
