Just wondering why we can still donate for RoP @ 7/30/09.

I guess I should have made a topic consisting of "Please make my priest do more damage so I can kill Assassin and Champion... durrrrrr" Excuse me for trying to be creative and come up with ways to benefit the class other than just beefing its damage. The point of this thread is not to make priest better than or more likely to kill a certain specific class. I'm only trying to suggest a few modifications to the class that I feel would work with this high rate/stat/level server. Priest does not need bash, it isn't a Knight.... It needs modifications that actually SUIT it's class (Example: Debuffs). By the way your forgetting that a priest can Lex Aeterna so it's bash would be considerably more powerful than your thinking.

I'm not asking for an increase in damage. Maybe you should go back and read the original post. The Bolt skill was to be an alternative to Holy Light. It doesn't necessarily have to deal a lot of damage. Yes heal can be improved through cards and equipment. Unless your talking about a drastic change to the skill then there's no point in changing it. You would have to change it to like 25k heals without cards/equips to make much of a difference because a SinX can kill you in no time if you heal for less than that. I don't suggest heal be changed just because it doesn't seem likely to happen.

What about debuffs? Other than Decrease Agility. As for any class being able to use bolts: I know that, but that also seems like a kind of half-assed solution. (excuse my language) You say your looking for class balance, how do you achieve that if you suggest a solution that all classes are capable of? Unless you intend on giving all classes something equivalent to EDP or Asura the weaker classes are going to need exclusive benefits not available to the ones that already dominate. Maybe it's too much to ask for some class exclusiveness. I can see the higher level buffs being too much though. Thanks for contributing.

Please don't turn my thread into some argument, this is a suggestion, if you don't like it then please contribute but leave out your ignorant sarcasm. You seem to just be looking for an argument instead of contributing. I never said I speak for all players, I was basing my response off of experience; just as you. I know people double client. I do to Endow and FCP my mains for pvp, all I was saying was that Priests buffs don't seem worth the time it takes to open another client or switch from your alt creator/professor. I also don't imagine many people play Priest as main just to be a "heal/buff slave" for their friends, not on a high rate pk/pvp server like this. I'm sure there might be some, but I'm guessing a very very low %age of the player population. I don't remember seeing a Holy Bolt Scroll, if I'm wrong about this then please point it out. Priest isn't entirely defenseless, I never said that. They are defenseless in a lot of ways though. You can only spam safety wall for so long before a epd sinX who has auto targeted you kills you, and what kind of pvping is that? I don't doubt that Holy Light can do more than 100k if I'm capable of 100k without int belts. AGAIN: This thread is about PRIESTS, I'm not interested in changing Mages in this thread. It has been discussed multiple times that GTB should stay as it is, and in that decision Mages had their legs taken from them so to speak. This thread is not turning into what I wanted it be. If anyone can please give some more constructive criticism instead of sarcastic remarks to get attention I would greatly appreciate it.

I suppose you're right about that. People probably would complain about the debuff, but like I said... If you use GTB you wont be effected it by it. So it's not like its not like its not able to be countered. This server has so much stuff that beefs up stats and damage, why not have something that can counter that? A Priest probably wouldn't be able to actually KILL an assassin/champ this way, but he could certainly defend himself and that's what I'm looking for. If the class stays the way it is now and all else held constant I don't believe it will ever actually be used, at least not effectively. @Ryoji: I don't believe players take the time to file through another account to get Priest buffs, maybe FCP or Endow which both last a while, but not Priest buffs. They may however start doing that if Priest buffs were upped to lvl 15ish. I would like to get more feedback/criticism from players who actually play Priests. That is, if there are any. Some people who play the other classes will only see "Oh they want to make another class a disadvantage to me, therefor it's wrong."

I know Scrolls are available, but does it really hurt to give priests a Bolt skill? It maybe be too much work though, and if that's the case then I understand. Some people like to say that all classes can pvp here, well I find that simply not true. I don't call putting coma cards on your weapon and swinging, hoping for that little chance that the person will die pvping because meanwhile that assassin has killed you 5 times. Currently the only thing that I can see that Priests can do is spam Safety Wall or Basil. A Priest that could debuff Blessing would actually be able to protect himself and maybe even fight back, it would take the instant casting away from most champs and the attack speed from most assassins. Of course they could always just wear a GTB to defend against it, so it isn't too over powered. @Yahtzee: I'm not talking about Yukumaru the Champion or Conor the Sniper, I'm talking about Priests, if you have no personal experiences with them and can not contribute to a discussion about THIS CLASS, then please do not post. @VapoRub: I'm all for coming up with unique builds and going offensive if needed, but Priests are very much defenseless in a lot of ways.

I find it hard to believe that most of the people that pvp here are duel cliented with a Priest. If anything its a Creator, maybe a Professor/Linker. And just playing the better pvp classes is so narrow. I mean pvp is like 80% Assassin Cross / Champion.

So I've been messing around on my Priest for a while and seeing how this is somewhat of a High rate pk/pvp server I was wondering if anyone else felt Priests could use some modifications. I've read the threads about the suggestions for priests weapons, and I know that the elite weapon was modified recently. I don't intend on push them to the level of Assassin Cross or Champion in pvp, it would just be nice if they could defend themselves without using coma weapons. 1. Could we change "Holy Light" for priest to "Holy Bolt" and if not change one to the other then add the skill entirely to the Priest skill tree. I know your thinking that a linked Priest would destroy if Light was edited to bolt, I mean my Priest does like 100k HL when linked. So I think it would be best to add a new skill entirely if possible. I don't want to give Champs a Bolt skill. I was thinking it could be something like Firebolt with Holy element. Still easily blockable with GTB and Angeling but gives Priests more options. 2. Buffs to lvl 15/20. Lets face it, buffs here aren't really that great, I mean considering single items increase stats by 15-25 points. This of course does not need to be made available to Champions. The supportive class is not appreciated on this server as much as it should be. I know some of you may feel this will be "OP" but buffs don't last forever. Based off of my experiences Heal does not need to be changed. 3. I don't know the specifics of how this would work but if there is a way to give a negative blessing, maybe a curse or something? I was thinking it could just decrease the stats the blessing normally increases, kind of like decrease agility. Maybe modify the "Turn Undead" skill to do this? I mean who actually uses that here? I know none of this will probably be accepted but I thought I would voice my opinion none the less. Feel free to contribute/criticize.

Maybe a small % chance to cast it while attacking would work. Like maybe 3% when attacking? Just don't let it be manual cast and it should be fine. I would like to see armors that changed the sprite of the character, like if we took the shield from Bloody Knight and made it a Elite Pala shield or something.

Well how large is his hard drive? If he has enough space he can install Windows XP and keep his MacOS too. It's called partitioning, you use two operating systems on one computer. If he doesn't like the MacOS he can just reformat with Windows. However, you will need the software to install Windows XP for either of these options. I'm confident that if you and your friend read up on it you should be able to do it as well. I suggest your friend uses XP if he does do a partition to add Windows. Vista is resource heavy and takes up a lot more room in the hard drive. If you have other questions then just post here, I'll try and help the best I can.

He'll need a Windows emulator I think. I suggest your friend partitions his hard drive and installs Windows XP as well for gaming. That is; if there's enough space in that tiny Mac HD :rolleyes_anim:

So does the 4th card not stack? I just don't understand how you get 57% from 2x10% + 4x4% +25% unless the 4th card doesn't stack.

I said I'm indifferent. I don't care what happens to the dagger. I was just commenting that small changes can make noticeable differences. Of course GTB+FCP = dead int stalker. That's never been in question. It's just important to consider all angles when making a change like this.

Well, I'm really indifferent to this but just thought I'd add that small changes do make a difference in builds. I mean lets say the dagger stayed the same but had 1 more slot, if the stalkers full int type then He'll probably do kingring cards which add like 4% matk each I believe. So 25% + 4%x4 = +41% matk, then add the 2x fbh = +20%. +61% to your matk is very different than +57% (w/o extra slot) especially when your fighting a well equipped stalker with around 400-450 int combined. However, if you just remove 5% from the weapon and add a slot then with 4 kingrings it's like +56%. Which is lower than it would be right now with 3 kingrings (+57%). I'm not entirely sure about the matk % stacking or the kingring stacking, this is all really just a guess so I could be completely wrong. Not trying to cut anyone's ideas or argue, just trying to contribute. I know there's some people who are really particular about their builds and others who really could care less about a couple %.

It was pretty good, Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler work well together. As far was romantic comedies go I thought this one was much funnier than most that I've seen (from a male's prospective). Gerard's character is great at basically "telling it like it is" and in my personal opinion I feel that most of the things he says about men are true. I think this movie appeals to the guys as well as the girls, the guys get their cheap laughs and "man humor" and the women get their romance. I'd give it a 7.5/10. But compared to other romantic comedies I've seen 9/10. :thumbsup_still:

Yea, I saw that but I haven't heard/read much about it so I don't know what to expect. BTW: They finished all of the shooting for Iron Man 2 recently and it has gone into the editing stage, to be released next summer I think. Robert Downey Jr is on fire, hope he keeps it up and stays away from the drugs. Going to see The Ugly Truth tonight, Gerard Butler is pretty good so hopefully it'll be amusing.
