  1. Seeing how you say "years" I'm guessing that when you hunted it Thanatos Card had a higher drop rate. These people are hunting the card for a fraction of the rate that you got. There is no "guarantee". In fact it is like 99.9% likely you will not get a card. Add in a couple lazy people who just hang out and KS/PK and you're likelihood of obtaining a card that you've put in decent effort to get will drop to 0. You speak of years ago... I think it's time to move on. In my opinion the server needs to grow, but it will not as long as older players treat newer ones like trash. I prefer a care-bear community over one that promotes people stealing from honest players.
  2. Are you serious? Selfish to keep the MVP YOU spawned? Sounds like a load of crap to me to be honest. Sure, some people buy the requirements to spawn and they're not that hard to collect... But people still have to work and spend time getting them or spend money buying them. How is it right for someone who hasn't spent this time to just walk up and steal 1. YOUR MVP 2. YOUR time/money you spent. 3. YOUR chance at getting a card (which is extremely low to begin with). It just isn't right for some lazy KSer/PKer to take that from you just because they can do a bit more damage or can kill you while you're wearing MVP gear. I don't see how you can defend this kind of behavior. If you want more of a challenge then suggest Thanatos be made harder to kill, but don't defend lazy scum that steals so much from honest players. I don't mean to offend you personally... I just really don't understand your mindset here.

  5. So the people that are fully equipped/more experienced in pvp are the only ones that deserve a chance at thanatos card? Yea... thats REALLY going to help the server grow... No offense but it's thought processes like this that make our newer players leave quickly... How about helping someone who need it for once?

  7. I don't think a double drop day once every two weeks or month would impact the economy too much... I mean there is still a limit to how many mvps can be killed in a day given the respawn time. Competition would increase on the given day as Rune mentioned... I would really like the population to grow. This may be not too much but I think it would help.

    I like the idea of vending for coupons. Like Anarii said, it's been suggested before and most people liked the idea because it makes it so much easier to sell things if you can throw up a shop and use @at. I think the main issue was scripting two ways to vend: One for zeny and one for coupons. I know of a server that has a system like this in place. If the administration would like to take a look at how its done I can give them the server's name.
  10. Maybe, I'm not sure... Computed the same way... it would just be .012 or .013 with boosting items or .02 given a double drop day. I don't hunt thana so if someone could confirm .1 or .01? .002-.003% increase isn't worth a dqpon to me though.... but 2-3% more of a chance on other mvps would maybe be worth it.
  11. They're items that give a boost to your individual drop rate when you kill something. I forget the actual percentages but its like +20-+30% I believe. So Thana card would be .1 * 1.2 or 1.3 = .12 or .13%... other mvp cards would go up to like 12-13% Administration could probably change the % boost to what they see fit or worth the cost of the item.
  12. I can't really speak from experience because I don't have an emp or a zodiac atm... But just looking at the math I'm inclined to agree with Sessions here. You're dealing with percentages so it really just depends on your build... certain builds would make zodiac better but I feel emp is a better all around piece of equipment. Don't underestimate the benefits of +5 all stats... Looks really don't matter to me... I'll wear a gree/brown poopoo hat if it gives enough stats.

  15. It would potentially help the population grow... But a lot of people are QQ about the economy of the server right now... I don't think it would make TOO much of a difference if it wasn't done frequently... Like once a month or every two weeks... I dunno... Bubble Gum isn't a bad idea either for ppl who want to drain the qpons out of the market.
  16. I agree. And, you can't really compare killing/ksing Thanatos to Kiel/Turtle General... I mean C'mon its 1. The rarest/most expensive mvp card in the game. 2. You have to spend time summoning it. 3. It can be a pain to kill, especially if your not well equipped... more experienced/equipped players can sit around and ks/PK less well off players... with other Mvps this isn't an issue seeing how there is a 1 hour re-spawn time and a 10% drop rate, but with Thanatos it's a completely different situation IMO. Honestly, why should we reward people for being dicks?

    We generally have more money to throw around than other countries. Sure there are people who care about soccer here, but I'm saying it's no where near as important to us as it is to others. Hopefully it will grow and we'll become more competitive... but I'm willing to bet soccer is not on the top of the list in the entertainment for US citizens. Was just goofing and people get so upset.

    Ticket sales in one region don't really reflect how much our population cares...especially in comparison to other countries where the sport is tied into their culture.

    It's not about the US being good or bad. It's about no one wanting us to win and the fact that most of our population doesn't give a sh!t where as it's an extremely big thing in other countries that makes it lulz worthy. I'm just saying, we're an underdog.
  22. I agree with you Zero. I find nothing wrong with the way the market is moving right now. Apparently people here don't like inflation. I think its because that they don't like that their items sell for less now. The economy is slightly tilted in favor of those who don't have much or are new to the server and slightly out of the favor of the ones who have a lot of items/coupons that are depreciating in value. You can't satisfy everyone.

  24. Very true. I've suggested things before that would help take qpons out of the economy. One thing I really liked was a belt exchanger: Charge people a fee of a few coupons to exchange dex/str/int/luk/vit/agi belts. I mean most belts trade on par with each other +/- about 5-10 coupons anyway. The best way IMO has already been mentioned: Get more players. But this is much easier said than done. Maybe some kind of campaign to increase server population. But really it can be hard for new players here... If you guys want the value of donation coupons to appreciate I'll try to think of ways to help. Trying to properly control the economics of a game can be difficult though.
  25. I don't agree with putting a npc in-game that would give out donation items, under any circumstances. First of all it ruins the spirit of "donation rewards". Second, and most importantly, you're putting a price ceiling on items. This should never happen. Let say I donate for zodiac that I could sell for about 700~900 in the market right now. If you're idea was implemented the max I would be able to sell it for would be like 490 because people could just go to the npc and trade 500qp for it... This ruins the economics of donating... the donor is losing out on a potential 200~400qp gain... which drives down the incentive to donate by a lot. And what happens when ppl don't donate? We don't play. Now, if you REALLY want to get rid of some qpons. And you REALLY want to put price ceilings/floors on things... Lets talk about the most expensive and price volatile item on this server: Thanatos Card. You want to get rid of extra QP in the economy? I guarantee if you put a npc that trades this card for about 10k qp you'll see a sharp change. Can you imagine tens of thousands of qp being taken out of the market? If this was done for a short time it would still greatly change the value of donation coupons. However, I know this will never happen so I won't even take the suggestion seriously... so save me the QQing and flaming ok?
