  1. One day Tick's going to forget to lock the door.
  2. Oh...I hadn't even thought of that one at the time. We have many bright colors, even solid red palettes. But I think the point of something as universal of an emperium aura is to be able to match it to many palettes. If the colors are softer and more neutral they tend to go better with more combination.
  3. Of course there's neon-red in RO O_o Just look at some of the sprite palettes ;o

    Enough!

One thing you have to learn if you donate your time to a server is not everyone will like what you do. It's really important to learn not to take it too seriously or to heart. If you let it affect you, you'll lose the desire to devote your time to what is basically volunteer work.

    Emp aura

I'd follow Amitsu's advice. They weren't speaking of a color changer at all... What they're suggesting is that when you walk the emp aura flashes certain colors, but while stationary is has one color. It can be done but it'll take more sprites. And yes, the walking sprite would be different than the stationary sprite. I'm not sure how that's coded but Genesis has the Dragon aura as a reference. And the administrators don't profit from Forsaken. Any profit they ever make goes to upgrades for the server.

    Recolours.

Beautiful. All your emp aura colors are such a nice pastel color. I especially love your original green color. Having softer colors is not only softer on the eyes, but it gives players a wider selection of color combinations. It's hard to find something that looks good with a really bold ring around you. PS: Maybe you could take the next screenshots on a dart map. I think yuno_in03 is almost completely black. That would really show us the true colors. Nice stuff.

    Air

I think I know what he's getting at. Some people breathe LOUD, and you just want to tell them to piss off. Some people breathe in your face and you want to pop them in the nose. And goodness help you if your lover snores. Mine doesn't, he sleeps like an angel, and I'm so thankful. One thing I can't sleep through is snoring. Oh and bad breath is bad too...very bad.
  8. T.h.a.n.k. Y.o.u.!!! Effects are useless and make sprites look like crap. The reason why his sprites are so nice is because it's done by hand. I saw the pandaring and usakoring in game up close today. Fantastic stuff. But one comment on leafling, it could have a leaf coming out of the top and going to the side a little.
  9. That is a pretty hawt map. But I was thinking more like a bright blue, like the core of jupe_core Have it shining everywhere and blinding you as you try to survive the manacle attacks of the possessed humans, fighting to hang on to dear life as they mob you!!! I'm so dramatic... However, I have a project for FRO, and I need a mapper. The map has to be outstanding for it to be implemented though. If you're interested I'll keep you on my mind when I look for people to help me.
  10. Agreed that the different auras should have softer more transparent colors; like the current one in another color. The recolors are boldly colored and they are nice colors but I'm not sure it fits in well. When you are trying to please a large population you'll need something to fit a lot of people. Having a bold color prominently around your char's waist doesn't give you much room for designing the rest of your character. But having a pale one goes with more color choices. Unless you like a bold green emp aura, a bold orange palette, and a pink valk helm ;P
  11. That's pretty awesome. Could you post pictures of the place though? Like as if we were on the map. And maybe instead of magma or water you could have blue light coming up from underneath everywhere.
  12. Having an exclusive "accepted suggestion" item prize would flood the suggestion thread with useless stuff. I can see it now. You (that's a general statement), shouldn't be concerned with a physical prize of any sort. I think the majority of our population would feel more comfortable knowing that the suggestions integrated into the game are there because of careful thought from certain players, and their want to improve the server they play.
  13. I know you all like each other's junk but try and keep it to your pictures and comments of the pictures :P
  14. I love pixel items too. In fact I enjoy quests more than anything when I play legit. But wanting items, no matter what kind, for having an accepted suggestion, is still materialistic. Here's a dictionary definition: 1. Philosophy The theory that physical matter is the only reality and that everything, including thought, feeling, mind, and will, can be explained in terms of matter and physical phenomena. If one agrees that you can have a society on an online game, then one must also agree to have standards for that society. And in RO, like in real life these day, having the stronger, better item is preferred. Whether or not you can actually hold these items doesn't matter, because in the gaming society we created, they are materials, and items. What I don't want to happen is to have the suggestion section flooded with repetitive, selfish suggestions. Most people who make suggestions currently are not doing it solely for their benefit, or for the possibility of having an item in game. That in itself is commendable. I'll agree that there can be a prize, but it can't go beyond recognition, and mustn't be able to sell it or trade it. I've seen medals on Gen's forum page. Maybe a medal on the forum page, and a recognition in your signature would be appropriate. An in-game recognition could be an NPC which lists the contributors to the server.

    A new MVP

even if she was, she's a bit puny for an ultimate rambo MVP .__. I was thinking something monstrous and ugly :D
  16. Ironically, I know a couple of ex GM's who said very similar things. The fact is, you don't know until you get there. And being a GM isn't for everyone. And Ryoji's right, sometimes a GM will log and bot hunt, or attend to tickets or concerns, or answer questions, and then log without hosting an event. And since no one really sees them on they assume they all quit.
  17. Fro's one of the best high rates you can find, and a lot of players don't appreciate it. I meant it more as a general statement. My apologies if you're for this idea, but I still think it's a materialistic thing to ask for. and as MAC would say, another QQ post.
  18. Every single GM I know has a family, school, and busy lives. And it's mid term in a lot of places, which means major projects and exams. To be honest Fro is spoiled when it comes to events. We have a high event quota and when players don't get that they become unhappy. We try our best.
  19. Why should there be a reward for everything? This thread is starting to sound so materialistic x__x
  20. Oh because it's not enough!! We're spoiled so we always want more. Gimmie trophy!!
  21. Spriting would be time consuming, but we wouldn't be making them from scratch, that's for sure.
  22. It would diminish votes, which was what the system was designed to do: increase the number of votes for an extended period. If you could trade items to other accounts you wouldn't have to vote on the other accounts for that same item.
