You can summon MVPs using a Bloody Branch. Acquirable only from the "Event Rewards" NPC inside the Token Traders building in Forsaken City (@go 25). They cost 4 Event Tokens each. The MVP Invasion event room can be accessed by following these steps: Speak to the Warper NPC (still @go 25, just behind the Forsaken Kafra), select Custom Maps, then Event Room, and then Click the MVP Invasion event NPC once inside. The Fragments needed for the Thanatos Summon room are: Fragment of Hatred, Fragment of Misery, Fragment of Agony, and Fragment of Despair. The command @whodrops <item name or ID here> will let you know which monster drops them. Dead Branches can't summon MVPs.

You use the Safari Balls exactly like common taming items. They work like that. Double click them, or put them on your hotkeys, press the corresponding button and click the monster you want to catch. Voila!
