Hi ForsakenRO players! I was talking to [GM]Veracity the other night and he seems to like my suggestion, so I'm putting it here on forums for all to read and leave opinions about.
Rebirth System:
Once a player hits base and job level 255, the player has the option to "rebirth". But, to rebirth, a player must undergo a series of tests/quests. The advantage of being reborn is that, for example, when a person rebirths for the 1st time, that player will receive 200 extra stat points, instead of the usual 100. So, in total, a player will have 200 stat points, plus the stat points that he/she gains from leveling back to 255.
The catch being, to rebirth, a player must collect some items to give to a NPC for them to be granted rebirth status.
Karma/Fame System:
When killing people, players get a chance to gain Karma points and Fame points. Fame just shows where you are in the PVP ladder. Karma, on the other hand, judges what can happen to your character. If a person has positive (+) karma points, whenever that person is killed, there may be a chance to lose an equipped item. However, if a player has negative (-) karma points, the chance is lessened.
For those who might recognize this, the idea was taken from WaffleRO, a server that closed back in 2005 or 2006. I just thought that this might add to the excitement that this wonderful server already has.
