Edited the first post and put in the suggestions so far so it's easier to reference them. :) @nines: Quest wings are a good idea as well, assuming people would do them. I'm not sure how everyone would feel about removing those wings from the Ladder rewards, though... We can see. @Ethereal: That sounds like a good starting point to me.

We are working on developing some new very challenging quests that I think the community will really enjoy (or so I hope). :) So stay tuned for that. Making a quest rucksack will be looked into more. I think that's a good idea to make new players feel more like they belong. @nines: I'm not sure I know exactly which headgear you're referring to... Could you find pictures of them please? @Ryuk: What would you propose is changed for the forsaken dungeon quest?

Sorry for delayed replies, I just got back from the dentist. :P But anyway... I can't say for sure, though I am guessing general fighting style sets would be more likely. We can discuss ideas for both and get more input from the community and decide from there though. :) I like this idea. If anyone has anything else they'd like to add in for possible drops, feel free to! I like the idea of having the custom name set. And it's a good idea to make it easier to farm. Any other suggestions for what else to add for this? I don't see the harm in adding a very little stats that would help with survivability, though. Maybe we could also add something to help with MvPing? Nines came up with some interesting ideas (I'm assuming they are for the newbie equipment which new players will start out with?). For the headgear, I'm not sure about the Irish Hat. What are some popular ones/ones people would like to see used for this? Keep the great feedback/suggestions coming! :)

You all have some really good ideas! We were thinking of adding custom gears (armor, weapon, etc.) for newbies to start out with to make leveling/playing here a bit easier for them. Do you guys want to throw around some ideas for stats/effects that these could have? Increasing the zeny players start out with sounds good as well. I certainly do not see the harm in it. As for the GM assistant guild... you guys don't have to be in a specific guild to offer your help to newbies. You'll see a lot of new players around (especially in fcity) who are looking for help. You can always (and are encouraged to!) help new players, as long as you don't claim to be affiliated with the staff, etc. The GM assistant guild has been rejected a few times, and I don't see that changing (although personally, I am not opposed to the suggestion). As I said though, you are always welcome to help new players on your own. :) Edit: I think Ethereal's idea of having some stronger gears (although lower than the elites) is a nice idea as well. I like the storyline part of it too. Xtopher, what kind of items for the farming area would you suggest? If you guys would like to see these gears, you could help us out quite a bit by giving some ideas as to possible effects for them. (:

Guys, don't forget about voting! Let's keep up the wonderful job we've been doing. Unfortunately, we've fallen out of the top 10 again. Please try to vote every day and get all of your friends to vote for us as well!

We are looking for ways to improve the game play for everyone, especially new players. One of the things most frequently mentioned in reviews is how hard it is for new players to start out here. So, we want to encourage new people to join and make it easier for them! If anyone has ideas or suggestions on how to achieve this, please share it here. Bringing to our attention things you particularly struggled with when you were new would also be helpful. Please keep flaming the server or saying how OP everything is out of this topic. We are trying to help everyone and nonconstructive comments like that will not do anyone any good. Thank you! Some Suggestions So Far: A special set of equipment for new players (would be on their account) Increasing the amount of zeny new players start out with Questable set of equipment that are stronger than normal, but still not as good as Elites. Non-donation, non-custom item farming area (PVP disabled) Possible drops include: seeds, some of the items for elite quests Every time your job changes (eg. Assassin -> Assassin Cross) you get a proper weapon to help with leveling (eg. Assassin's Jur) Once you reach Lv. 255, you gain a personal set of equipments with your name (eg. Beginner Goldy's Set) Possible effects include: Giving lv. 5 Enlarge Weight Limit, x% chance of dropping Ygg. Seed when killing x Monster, or anything else to help with farming. Making Forsaken Dungeon Quest easier. Instate more challenging quests with headgears, etc. that are stronger/more useful Possible items include: Rucksacks, Ice Wings, Green Wings

This is a fun idea, but as everyone else has said, there are more important things for our staff to work on. - Rejected -

No problem at all. :) I think adding a mace and a staff elite weapons for priests is an agreeable idea. We just are not going to be changing/buffing the already existing effects of any of the elite weapons (as far as I am aware). What effects would ya'll like to see for these elite weapons if we do decide to implement them? Feel free to give us an idea here. If you get a chance to test the highness staff out, I'd be interested in hearing. I'm open to trying to increasing the heal/sanctuary effect for the staff... just haven't had much input about it. Anyone who can share or has any ideas, I'd be happy to hear!

There is a sword for creators already. As for the other classes, we are planning on releasing these in the future. :) Feel free to discuss the effects you'd like for them to have here though!

I completely agree that the skills themselves should be boosted, but keep in mind editing skills requires source edits. With every edit you make, you risk messing up a lot of other stuff in the server because the code by eA is unorganized. There is also only one person who scripts things... ultimately, it's his decision whether or not the edits to the skills are done. We tried to fulfill people's suggestions as best we could working around this issue, which is why we came up with an alternative of using weapons to increase skills, etc. Further increasing heal and sanctuary on the weapon could be an option. You have a very valid point about how increasing heal quite a bit would not be that harmful since ygg berries are already so wide spread. If we increase the Highness Staff's effect for priests, we wouldn't have to worry about champs having increased heal as well. Either way, I'm sure we can come up with something as an alternative if we can't boost the skills themselves. (: PS: I apologize if I wasn't clear, but when I said we couldn't boost sanctuary without boosting heal, I was referring to on the weapons. I don't know about the skills themselves.
-
We wanted to increase sanctuary more, but however much we increase sanctuary, we have to increase heal too because they share the same variable. :/ Just something to take into consideration. I agree with you though, it should be increased more still. (:

It will be added shortly, sorry for the inconvenience.

Not that I am aware of. I'm pretty sure that it is just $30 for each weapon. :)
-
The weapons are supposed to be indestructible, that should be fixed now. If you want a Black Halberd for both LK and Pally, you need to donate for each one separately.
-
He was just referring to a particular group of people who are not appeased by anything, always complain, and have absolutely no appreciation/respect for the massive amount of time that the admins and the rest of the staff put into the update. :)
-
No, they never cost that much. They have always been $30.
-
This is not the place to be saying how overpowered you think the new weapons are. Please, only post if you want to comment on the update (there were a LOT of other fixes/additions, not just the weapons!), or to bring any bugs to our attention. (:

Accepting this suggestion as we now have summoning scrolls for Thanatos, which was inspired by this suggestion. Keep up the great suggestions! (: PS: maxlittle007, the summoning scroll for Thanatos has a .02% chance of dropping the card. It's not much of a difference, but it is definitely helpful.

While you may have become used to the War of Emperium here that revolved around breaking, that is not how Woe was intended to be. It is not about a bunch of breakers running in... it's about large guilds and using strategy to defend your castle. Mostly, it's about team work, which is the opposite of what was happening (with a few exceptions of course). Ya'll should give it some time before you start saying you want it back to the way it was before... you might be surprised, sometimes change is a good thing. :) Also, the Pvp ladder was meant to encourage people to Pvp more. Having kills count in Woe is just counterproductive.

Let's compare: Elite Lord Knight Spear: Increase damage done to Demi Humans by 7% Str + 5 Dex + 5 Rental Lord Knight Spear: One-handed spear: Attack = 120, +10 str/dex, +10% damage to demi-humans. Donation Lord Knight Spear: Increase damage done to Demi Humans by 15%, Str + 15, Dex + 20, +10 Vit. As you can see, it's a gradual increase, not from another "galactic." The .1% chance for coma was added in because it was a suggested by the community. The decrease in cast time and the buff to spiral pierce was intended to diversify the class more (give them other options than Bowling Bash, etc.) ------ Elite Champion Knuckle: Increase Damage done to Demi Humans by 8%, Dex + 5, Str + 7 Rental Champion Knuckle: +10 dex, +7 str, +10 int, +10% damage to demi-humans. Donation Champion Knuckle: Dex + 15, Str + 15, Int + 15, Increase Damage on Demi Humans by 13% There was very little increase here. Again, as you can see, it's gradual. ------ Elite Assassin Cross Dagger: Increase damage on DemiHuman enemies by 5%. Rental Assassin Cross Dagger: +10% damage to demi-humans. Donation Assassin Cross SWORD: Str + 10, Agi + 10, Int + 30, SP + 20%, +10% damage to demi-human, + 5 ASPD We added very little strength and agi. The demi-human damage is kept exactly the same. We added a significant amount of Int and SP in hopes some people would start to use Soul Destroyer more to make the class more diverse. It's difficult to compare this really since there is not an elite sword for Assassin Crosses... but the increase of the effects are not THAT dramatic. Donation Assassin Cross SWORD (critical): Agi + 20, Luk + 30, Str + 20, Critical Rate + 30, Perfect Dodge + 10, Inflict 15% more damage with critical attack, + 5 ASPD There is a big change here. Everything for this one was designed to encourage more diversity for Assassin Crosses rather than having all of them be Dex-based. Keep in mind, this was made with the intention that only one could be equipped. ------ Elite Clown Bow: Agi + 15 Dex + 15 Rental Clown Bow: +20 agi/dex, +20% more damage with double strafe, -20% damage from demi-humans Donation Clown Bow: Agi + 25, Dex + 25, +20% damage to demihumans, +20% damage with double strafe, 30% Chance of auto-casting Lv. 5 Tarot Card of Fate when being attacked (or attacking), .01 chance of casting Coma. As far as stat boosting goes, there was little increase. All of the boosts to demi-human/double strafe was with the intention of once again, giving the class other options than AV/tarot spam for the class. Since they can't use AV with this (which would still make whips/musical instruments better), we added a chance of casting coma/tarot. ------ All of the effects build upon each other consecutively from Elite -> Rental -> Donation. Our intention for these weapons were to balance underpowered classes, or if they were already strong, to diversify the class and provide other methods of playing.
-
Anyone can access the items without donating. Donations are not account bound, so you can purchase them from other players. You don't need an NPC for that. The donation weapons are stronger than the elites, as they should be. Forsaken Elite armor is not as good as Forsaken King armor, why would elite weapons be better than the donation weapons? If you can't afford to donate, you can always use the rental items (which the donation items were based on).
-
This idea wouldn't be viable at this time. - Rejected -
-
It would definitely be a good idea for the website/donation shop to specify how many slots each donation item has, especially for new players. :) - Accepted -
-
I don't see the harm in adding some new nicely done hairstyles to spice things up. Though this won't be top priority, I'll go ahead and accept this. - Accepted -
-
I don't know about novices, but I don't see the harm in adding something for Super Novices to diversify the classes a bit more. - Accepted -
