    Hi!

Welcome to the server! Gravatar is annoying....
  2. There are two different versions of doppelganger ingame. Monster number 1046 and monster number 1731. 1046 doesn't drop the item but 1731 does. I know when I made my friggs I hunted the one in gld_dun02... It's possible that the wrong doppelganger is spawning through some bug.
  3. You contradict yourself in your posts. First you say that breaking the guardian stones is simple and attackers just have to run in and attack the stones while ignoring defenders, then you say most attackers die before they do any real damage. The later part of that is true and only further explains why healing the stone should be removed. If they can't even do a lot of damage before dying why do you need the ability to spam 300-500k heals on the stone? You can't use the skill heal on emps so it's not a problem in normal WoE. You can, however, use the skill on guardian stones/baracades in WoE 2.0. Bacsojin cards themselves don't need to be nerfed. They're fine in any other circumstance than the guardian stone heal bombing. The stones just need to be changed so that you can not use the skill heal on them. As far as I know there is no way to limit the amount healed per heal on a specific target (the stones). You would have to nerf bacsojins as a whole, which isn't necessary. I really hope you guys can post without biases. Don't think about what is best for you or your friends/guild. Think about what is fair and balanced.
  4. I thought the point to getting the valk was that you could stave crasher.

    Y / N?

Well I've already stated my opinion on this multiple times. I just have a question for Perishable. Why are you fixated on the donated requirement of $30 vs $20? I believe that the Halloween hats are 30 because they are meant to be a seasonal hat with pretty nice attributes. The new headgear are 20 because they (I would think) are supposed to be donated for in masses. Just a question. Good luck on your suggestion through, I know you guys have been pushing for this for a while...
  6. Ok, I've had enough with this Ghost/Bravery/Aggressive/Dignified bullshit. This isn't a thread for everyone to flame off on specific guilds. Stop it. Is it fucking impossible for you people to look at a balancing issue impartially? It shouldn't matter what guild your in. I guess everyone on this server is so selfish that they'll only look for what benefits them and what enemy they can screw over. Get back on topic. I don't care what guild you're in. The question remains whether or not this is balanced. Is a priest or multiple priests heal bombing the guardian stones for 300-500k while they're being fully defended balanced?
  7. At the time Aggressive was highly inactive. Also, Ghost/Aggressive never used the priest bacsojin heal bomb strategy.... We're talking about two different circumstances. Do you really think 30 people are simply goofying around and NOT trying to break the stone? People are doing everything they can just to get there. If they actually get there they get annihilated pretty quickly and any damage they do gets healed.
  8. You make it sound like it's easy to ignore 20-40 other people attacking you. Sorry but not every guild has those numbers. The last time Ghost had the castle they had like 15-20 people online. They were severely overwhelmed in numbers. Two of the guild leaders (Yukumaru & Mello) weren't even online.
  9. Full str ninja builds already do a lot with throw shuriken/kunai...w/e. I don't think it needs to be buffed further... Unless you can argue it very well.
  10. I don't know what you know and what you don't. I have no idea who you or nor the credentials you have. Different GMs specialize in different areas. None of you know everything about everything. Just because you're a GM doesn't mean I'm to expect you know everything about the game. No one does... I'm not trying to be condescending. The fact of the matter is that you were wrong. You said that it would blast down in a matter of seconds because you believed the elemental bonus would be huge, which is false. It would be similar to that of an Emp and, like Drax said, a well defended emp takes a lot of effort and time to take down (coordinating ecalls/breaks/etc...). I think what you're stating is more of an indirect nerf to priests, not a direct one. A direct nerf would be say nerfing priest weapons/skills/cards used directly. I'm not talking about nerfing the priest, I'm talking about balancing guardian stone sustainability. Nerfing the heal buff on bacsojins/highness would be a direct priest nerf. Changing the element of the guardian stone isn't. Let me use an example. If paladins were capable of devoing the stone (Clearly OP) and we removed that capability it would definitely make paladins over-all less useful in WoE 2.0. Does that make it a bad decision? No, because it is clearly imbalanced to begin with. It wouldn't be a direct nerf to the class like say removing the skill devotion... More of an indirect nerf through balancing. Yes, they will be less useful in WoE 2.0. Of course they will. That doesn't mean that the current state is balanced. This heal bombing is "essential" at the moment because it's imbalanced. It's the easy way out. The safest and most over powered way to defend. If priests weren't allowed to heal bomb it wouldn't ruin castle defense at all. If you've ever been to WoE 2.0 you should know that at any given time the stone being attacked has approximately 20-40 people defending it. These people are fully capable of holding off attackers long enough to resurrect any broken stones throughout WoE 2.0. Being able to spam heal on a stone for 300-500k is just unnecessary and over powered sustain. No one will ever even get to the baracades.
  11. First of all this isn't a priest nerf. This is an suggestion to re-balance stone sustainability on our server. I don't know how long you've been playing this server or how much you know about me but I'm one of the few people who've mained priest and love the class. It is true, they have been pooped on in other areas but they are still a strong class. They are still highly useful in WoE/GvG/PvP. I would never suggest something that would "nerf" priests. The fact of the matter is that it isn't fair for a stone to be heal spammed for 300-500k. You go straight to the 500k example which is the extreme end of the spectrum. I know well what card allocation it takes to reach this healing capacity. A priest can still pop out 300-400k heals without that fourth bacsojin card. Secondly, these priests will likely have on GTB with devotion from a paladin, thus they CAN NOT be stone cursed. They'll go reductions/vit equips with heal amplification items thus making them tanky heal bombers. To address your shift+click heal statement: There are numerous keyboard/mouse macros which are legal to use ingame that make it very easy to overcome this. Even if your aren't using them since when is holding down the shift key and spamming another button difficult? I don't see how this "slows" healing. I don't believe that the stone would break in "no-time" with undead element. If we make the stone Undead (Lvl 2) it will take approximately the same damage an emperium would if you used a cursed water. I'll link the attribute table here encase this is confusing for you. http://ratemyserver.net/index.php?page=misc_table_attr

  13. Sacred wings aren't WoE drops. They are obtained through laddering, just like RaWs... Adding a slot would make them imbalanced. Their balance revolves around the fact that to use them you lose a top headgear card (maya purple/kiel/f. soldier). Strategies and builds revolve around countering your opponent's builds and items and adding a slot would imbalance this.
  14. In my opinion the guardian stones in WoE 2.0 need a bit of re-working. Current Guardian Stones: lvl: 90 ATK: 1~2 HP: 150,000,000 Range: 0~0~0 SP: 1 Size: Small Base EXP: 0 Race: Formless Job EXP: 0 Element: Neutral (Lv:1) DEF: 40 MDEF: 50 STR: 1 AGI: 1 VIT: 1 INT: 1 DEX: 1 LUK: 1 The rundown: Basically, you can use thanatos and ice-picks on the guardian stones because it has 40 defense. Thanatos/IP will do more damage than critical strikes. They have the same DEF as an emperium. This, isn't much of a problem. The problem and what makes the Guardian Stones imbalanced on our server is the fact that you can use skills on them. In iRO guardian stones drop fairly easily through a priest and champ lex asuraing the stone quickly. Other classes can drop them fairly fast through skill spamming. We have stones with 150m HP because we have high damage output through skills here (asura etc..). But, the main problem is the fact that we can heal the stone. In iRO heals are small... very small. Our heals here can reach up to 500k. If you've ever played priest you probably know that if you're being hit the sprite delay on heal disappears and you can spam it pretty much endlessly. Now, imagine a priest dealing 300-500k per heal being hit constantly (the guardian areas are constantly spammed with damage). The stone with 150m HP will take ages to break while being heal spammed. I know a lot of people will use asura damage as a counter argument, but it is incredibly difficult to get an asura on a defended guardian stone much less spam it. Most champions are there to kill the defenders and would never make it to the actual stone. The priests sole responsibility is to take advantage of the damage taken to kill the sprite delay of their heal and spam. Another factor is that if this stone breaks there is another one to destroy in only 10 minutes. The priest can go between camping stones healing them long enough so that the previous broken one can be repaired. You'll most likely never even reach the baracades. Keep in mind, I've only mentioned one priest doing this. The defending guild could very well assign 3-5 priests to just heal bombing guardian stones all WoE making it damn near impossible to break anything. Potential Solutions: 1. Disable skill usage on the stones/baracades. 2. Make them undead element so that they can not be healed. 3. Give Stones/Baracades GTB effect so that magic skills such as heal can not be used on them. At the moment it is more difficult to break a single guardian stone than any emperium. Guardian stones are supposed to be small inconveniences and hindrances to taking the castle, not the entire defense in themselves. Another Suggestion: The stones also need to be made larger. Maybe use a different sprite for them entirely if you can't make the actual stone larger. It is incredible difficult for anyone to click when you're weeding through 30 defenders. You could make it look like this guy: Though, I don't see why it would be so difficult to modify the size of a monster.

My point with the balloon/emp example is that it's hard for people to make trades for pure tokens these days. Most people trade for for an item/token combo. Bugs are dangerous, especially with something like this. People always look for ways to abuse things... I would rather not given them a channel through which to abuse if at all possible. As for you poring card example... I'm sorry but that's wrong. If you start trading items for poring cards people will just think you're crazy. Even if you got a group of friends trading items for poring cards it would never become the currency. A currency is a note of value. It is a note that is promised value from the distributor of said currency. In real life we use things like USD because the US government actively attempts to regulate the supply in the market to keep the USD at a certain value (this fluctuates with large scale economic changes as people lose trust in the US Fed and dump US investments). Similarly. we trust in the server administrators to keep a supply of tokens in the market. Because it is backed by the administrators it is given value over other items. No one can create duplicates or generate this currency other than the administrator... It is controlled. Poring cards are regulated by no one really. They're readily available and easy to obtain. What you're saying is like if I tried to start trading stones for goods in real life. I know what the barter system is. Trading goods and services for other goods and services without a currency. Our server predominately uses a combination of the barter and currency system. This system is actually patented in real life by Eduardo J. Belgrano... though it's not really used in real life because it's not practical. All in all an auction house would be nice, but not worth the trouble of developing/coding/implementing because of how our trade system works.
  18. I don't see the point in "non-donation" events. We have a really custom server with highly customized items. Why would we purposely have events that remove these items is beyond me... People say it is to shrink the gap between donors and none-donors... this is crap. The equips are readily available in the market. No donation item is account locked... People who have never donated a cent to this server have items beyond that of some high donors... A lot of the donation gear is meant to bring balance to classes. If we take out the Valkyrie weapons specific classes are obviously way more powerful than others thus removing all the hard work that has been put in to balancing classes. I'll disagree with your suggestion. None-donation woe won't attract masses of people. Donation gear is the norm here. There are a lot more people running around with fsets and Valkyrie weapons than elite/knight gear. Most people don't even have elite/knight gear. Annihilation was removed because of lack of interest... this event would be exactly the same.

    Auctioning

Auction house systems are a great way to organize trade in MMO's... The problem is that I don't know if it is possible in RO.. I feel like if it was possible then it would already be a part of the game. I don't know anything about coding NPCs but it seems like it would be really really difficult. Plus, a lot of our players like to bargain.. You ask for 300 tokens and you go back and forth for like 10 measly tokens for 5 minutes before actually making a trade. You don't get to bargain with auction houses. People will generally put everything in for over priced prices leaving others to undercut them by slim margins (like 1-2 tokens). Another problem is our token allocation. Most players don't have more than 500 tokens... They do trade based off of items + tokens. Tokens become a gap filler between item values in trade. Example: Purple emp +100 for balloon. With most players having such a short supply of tokens it would be difficult to actually make profit from an auction house. 5% of the players on this server have about 75% of the server's tangible tokens stockpiled (I'm not including all the old players who have thousands of tokens in their storage who quit ages ago). This 5% already have everything they need so they aren't likely to be buying from an auction house unless there's a big update with new items. Lastly, if this ever got hacked/bug abused in some way after it was implemented and people found a way to get free tokens/items... All hell would break loose. Therefore, I'll have to disagree.
  20. Maybe try different combinations of settings.. /effect? or maybe update your graphics driver... Weird that a patch would make you lag. Have you tried the direct client as opposed to the patcher client?
  21. Contact Drax or Ferocious (Cole or Simon). Some kid named Recognition will probably get down on all fours and kiss your boots to get you to join a guild called Dignified. Just ignore him. They have 3/4 the server in their guild(s).
