Bn,macro Or Whatever Program They Use.

Well in this case everyone who were accused that uses this programs will be banned even if they don't use such programs.. Just because someone told the gm that those players use this programs.

Is there anyway that they wont be able to warp to field/pvp area/castle/gvg/pvp room and etc. when they use these programs? Because i think that is the only way so that they will stop using those programs.

I see many players who accuses many using these, when in counterpart is this who accuse do 3x faster that the one he blames. o.O And thats really unfair to those who dont really use these progs but got banned just because they were reported on using when they really didnt.. ^^

We won't ban people just because someone said they use macros/bn. There should be enough proof before we even consider it. Screenshots alone won't make it, we need videos of them. Or in cases where you cannot capture it in video, using @request and telling a GM about it in game so that he can witness it himself would be helpful. This thread might lead to unnecessary discussion about 3rd party programs and might lead to flaming so please be civilized.

I understand gm shino,I didn't want anybody to get me wrong with this topic.

I just wanna know if there is any way that you can trace the bn/macro users when they log in the server . Or perhaps they wont be able to warp in field and in all other pvp areas if this is possible.

Would make it better, people tend to accuse anyone of using BN just because they have a decent spam.

yeah as shin said. it really takes not just good but enough reason and evidence before they bring down the ban hammer.

but yeah, if theres a way to track them, it will be good. but i think it wouldnt be easy at all.

I believe this would be a great way to eliminate cheaters in PvP, but this will be hard to code in C++.
Also, screenshots alone don't do the trick when reporting BN/Macro users.

Maybe enabling Gameguard can eliminate third party programs although I read somehere it causes problems with some anti-virus softwares.

There's also the problem of the costs which I think Genesis already mentioned is too much for the server atm.

Writing a protection program from scratch would be too much work (this kind of project is usually done in a large group).

Honestly I dont see any easy solution to this problem or at least none that would work on FRO. If I find the time I'll try to research the topic a bit more. Since I go to uni and have access to the library finding reliable literature on the subject shouldn't be a problem.

This is what I know here. Writing a program from scratch to block 3rd party software from being used can never be done. I say this because Genesis is the only one(I believe) who codes for the server. That means this suggestion is ASKING him to make one, and one programmer alone will not be able to do that in such a short amount of time.

Genesis already said they are doing what we thought is the solution, matching the server side delays with the client side delays. He also mentioned that it will take time to test everything out. Once that is done, using macros and bn will not give any advantage, thus eliminating its use.

People just have to be patient, jeez.

Macro's are for people without skills. That's for sure.
