I am working with our hosting provider to solve the problem as soon as possible. If we are unable to resolve the problem before GvG is hosted, GvG will be postponed till Sunday where we will give you 2x the reward. I wouldn't want any issues during the event. We will be giving 2x the prize on Sunday. Sorry about the inconvenience guys, I am still actively working on a permanent solution to this issue. We are working on a permanent fix. To make up for this, we will be releasing an update with something you guys will really like. We might be working on this for the majority of the night. We are working on a permanent solution to this issue. The best thing to do at this time is to be patient and occupy your time with tv/reading the forums/etc. We are working as fast as we can to resolve this issue, we will keep you guys updated via this topic. Genesis Posted March 26, 2014 Author Report Share Posted March 26, 2014 **Update** 11:39 AM Hey guys, just to be clear, it seems we are being hit by an extremely large DDoS attack (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denial-of-service_attack). Upon further investigation, it looks like several other top high rate servers are also being hit. We are working with out hosting provider to find a permanent solution. Till, you will be able to connect to the server sometimes, but you might experience frequent disconnects. This is an inherent problems of the internet that many large international company (visa, mastercard, paypal, etc) experience from time to time. The best thing to do right now is to remain calm and patient while we find a permanent solution. When/if the server disconnects, simply post your suggestions in the suggestion forum or review the guides we have posted here till it comes back up. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Veracity Posted March 27, 2014 Report Share Posted March 27, 2014 Our host is implementing the DDoS protection now so no one will be able to connect to the server. Unfortunately they chose a bad time to do it, but we had no control over it or how long it will take to finish. Also, the reason it displays players online still is because "That was the last amount of players prior to the disconnect. The SQL still considered them on, but they are not on." However, no one is in game currently so don't worry about losing castles in WoE. We will make a decision re: WoE once everyone can connect to the server again.
