Hi! It's me again! Ever since, I've always been a fond of doing experiments, not limited to fRO, but also to other game platforms. I just took a glance on new items that has been just released by Ares, and something just came into my mind. Well, not just an 'idea' but a 'brilliant idea', well for me atleast. Let's talk about the newly released, Hrist's Wing Bow, and it's ring counterpart, the Sniper of the Guardian Ring. These 2 gives a decent boost for traps, as well as for arrow shower, and Blitz Beat. Hirst's Wing Bow [4] Str + 15, Dex + 30, Int + 80, Max HP + 20% Allows use of Level 10 Enlarge Weight Limit Increase damage of Blitz Beat by 2000% Increase damage of Claymore by 3000%, Increase damage of Land Mine by 2800%, Increase damage of Blast Mine by 3000% Sniper of the Guardian Ring [1] Str +20, Int +45, Max HP +15%, Walking speed +15% Reduce damage taken from Demihumans by 5% Lvl 10 Over weight Increase damage of Blitz Beat by 3500% and Arrow Shower by 40% . As what you can see, they gave priority on adding INT on those 2 awesome newly-released items, for such reason that INT and DEX is the main boosted of the buffed skills, and on top of that, Blitz beat and Traps bypasses DEF/MDEF of the unit that's being/ has been hit. There's one usual build that's pretty obvious that we can make with these: • Trap Build : Where you can place traps, arrow shower 'em to stack those nasty traps, and kill whoever touches them. However on top of that, after reading a couple of things on Tokenshop, forum, and Wikis, I have foreseen a new viable build, that's only limited to these cool stuffs. • Breaker Sniper. Questions 1. Is this viable? 2. Is this much better than Sinx? 3. How'd you play this style? 4. Has anyone done this yet? 5. What makes you think that this is a good build? Answers 1. Yes it is, as far as I'm concerned. The factors that makes Assassin Cross, the usual Breaking Job are: Number of Hits & High Damage output. A comparison : •SinXs use Cursed Water to make Auto-attacks effective against emperium. On the other hand, you only need L.Arrow of Shadow for sniper, to hit the emperium effectively. •Usually SinXs has around 3k Base ATK (more or less depending on gears and cards). I even saw someone having 3.4k Base ATK with full gears and 3 Amad Cards. To par that, Snipers has more than 3k Base ATK only with semi-gears. •SinXs gets their Auto-attack Buffed with Enchant Deadly Poison, increasing their damage by as much as 400%, while Snipers got 20% damage boost with falcon eyes and 12%Stat boost with Attention Concentrate. •SinXs can go on 2 Dagger for them to maximize the Double attack that has 50%chance at max. However, Snipers also do have Auto-Blitz Beat wherein, chance rate is increased by (LUK / 3). On top of that, Blitz Beat doesnt have cooldown(just like the Double attack) but has cast delay, which is reducible by Kiels(90% cast-delay reduction at max) • SinXs can go either the critical build or the Thanatos build. Sadly, due to the seen fact that auto-blitz's chance is increased by LUK, might as well assume that this type of sniper is only viable for Crit-type breaking. • SinX thana Breakers, has the ability to do TOO HIGH-or-TOO LOW damage, while Snipers Can deal FLAT CRITICAL DAMAGE topping with Blitz Beat that BYPASSES DEF/MDEF and is further buffed by Hrist's Wing Bow & Sniper of the Guardian Ring. 2. Yes, and No. Yes, because going on a sniper breaker, let's you go on Full Break Build, even without removing your Shield(Which means you got a higher survival chance) No, because i still believe that Crit/Thana Breaker has Higher Damage output compared to this build. 3. Just go on with the same breaking cards, buff yourself up with skills/ consumables, get x2 ATK from battle chant if possible, you can also go on frenzy if you would like to, distance yourself from sinx breakers(since they tend to Auto-Magnum break with their TG cards on, ofc wear your L.Arrow of Shadow (No need to use Cursed Water), and hit the emp like there's no tomorrow. 4. No one I believe. 5. Decent damage vs. Emperium, High- Number of hit against emperium, top it with the 3x3 damage area cell provided by Auto-Blitz(Yes, whenever you hit the emp, you also hit the SinX breakers around it) which lessens their survival rate. Higher survival rate while on full Break build vs. SinXs on full break Build. So with these arguements, what do you think? Or also, feel free to be my lab-rat in-game xD Please be advised that i haven't tested yet the full-geare Sniper-Crit Breaker, but i've done several experiments on making this far on all the information that i have given you and is also bound to all the facts known on this server. Please follow on your own discretion. Further Questions? Kindly comment down below and any pointers to review is highly appreciated.

600 pure tokens or trade is acceptable. Just pm Dramatically.Sinned in-game. Thanks!

Alright, why don't you try to make an argument on why would a rich/long-playing player, choose thana breaker? I'd appreciate it if you mention some. If not, i'd still believe that Crit Breakers are broken.
-
1. Not anymore since Thanatos card BOOMED. 2. oh yea? you got those? so how would you do with last minute breaking? would you still go with the same gears? if yes, you don't make me believe that you can break with that. else, i dont believe that you'll get pretty much good HP, specially with 2Abyss, 2FBH on. 4. i know paper is good. But do you still deny that getting 2 paper cards is worse than getting 1 thana? especially, getting thana saves 1 more slot which, is another advantage for dexThana breakers.

However, can you explain to me how balanced the crit breaker sinxs, to dexthana breaker sinxs to PvP when the situation calls? 1. about those long-playing people, they'd definitely prefer going dex, than crit. 2. If you're pertaining to the stat allocation that can be saved from LUK to VIT, i'd prefer having an equip with more bonus stats, + Max HP% 3.fixed.y yea, i'd agree to that. 4. If you're talking about The Paper Card, additional 20% critical damage, each card, is just like wasting weapon card slots if im gonna be focusing on the Critical damage bonus modifier. 5. No.arguement about this.

O. Crit has been getting unappreciated for a while now because of the 'love' that has been given to O.dex. For example, O.dex has a higher stat given to the wielder, apart from that, this goes to the roof when you got O.loki's dagger on the offhand. Added by, the fact that thana's been widely used now by most breakers. i know that thana card doesnt give a stable damage, tho the spike damage from this, is really too OP compared to any other build for breaking emperiums. I tried to figure out what caused this 'unappreciation' for o.crit. And these are what i found O.crit doesn't have additional damage with critical attacks but has 15% more damage to Demihumans vs. L.crit who has 10% additional critical damage, but doesnt have the latter (additional damage to demi-humans) Ocrit + O.fenrir(which is a dual wield standard for crit breaker) doesnt do much on for crit breakers, vs. Odex + O.Loki's Dagger (which now has great stat buff, better survival rate, and best with thana card, which is not applicable with Crit breakers. Thanatos card has been widely distributed now to those who can afford it, breakers switching to DexThana Breakers, and making them viable for breaking emp, as well as for PvP during woe. While on the other hand for Crit breakers, they can only break emp, and they're as fragile af whenever they reach emp. Furthermore, the difference between the counterpart rings. So, with these said, i still believe, that Ares' aim for making these updates, is to fully balance everything, and as well as create more playing style for everybody. And i strongly suggest to get O.crit & O.dex, as well as their off-hand counterparts, to be as balanced as possible, with the fact that Thanatos card is available to everybody who affords it. I hope we meet somewhere on my point here.

Due to the server's aim of balancing all the Jobs, every single character now is remarkably looking into various gamestyles. And this guide tackles one of the strongest jobs on the server, The Professor/Scholar. 1.) Introduction & Prologue :th_e31: So Now, Fykka is so jealous that she also wanted me to make the "Best Professor Guide ever" and here it is. :th_e31: You can provide suggestions where you see fit on this guide. __________________________________________________________________________ 2.)Pros and Cons of a Professor Professors is one of the greatest Damage-dealing Characters on server. But not even this is safe from cons. Pros a. Does burst damage mainly with MATK (bolts) b. Great Support tool for WoEs and such c. Deals good damage even with starting gears. d. Doesn't require much switching of gears e. Very flexible vs most of the jobs on PvP. Cons a.) Melee attackers are extremely dangerous. b.) 100% MATK reflect means death. d.) You will have trouble with multiple opponents mainly because your burst damage only comes from Double Bolt, which is only applicable to bolt skills(single-target) e.) Doesn't have element advantage against GR users. Taking these into consideration, I believe that professors are a very rewarding character to play. __________________________________________________________________________ 3.) Now, about stats... It's simple. STR: You're gonna be needing this for your seeds. Have this to carry like around 250~300 seeds. AGI: Increases Flee, ASPD, and such. Have some of this until your ASPD reaches 195, but get Dex first. VIT: Increases Maximum HP, and Hard DEF. Most Vital Stat of a Support-Type Professor. Get this on the roof INT: Increases MATK, Maximum SP, and MDEF. Most Vital Stat of Burst-Damage Professor. Get this on the roof. DEX: Reduces Variable Cast-Time when reached a total of 150, and also increases HIT which is good for Stave Crasher. Have atleast a total of 150. LUK: I find this extremely useless for this Job, as none of the skills rely on it, Avoid at all costs Example Stat Builds - Burst Matk Prof STR: 99+ AGI: Until 195 ASPD VIT: Rest of the stats INT: 300+ DEX: 150 LUK: 1+ Support type Prof STR: Rest of the Stats AGI: Until 195 ASPD VIT: 300 INT: 1+ DEX: 150 LUK: 1+ These are only guidelines and possibilities, you may distribute them however you like, but keep my notes and observations in mind when distributing for maximum damage potential. Also keep in mind the bonuses from your equipment, most stats work in multiples of 10 or 5, depending on what you want from the stat, so build wisely and accordingly! Skills. Fiber Lock : ensnares a monster/ player with cobweb for 8 seconds/ and dealing any fire element to the ensnared target will deal 2x damage. Can be broken by2x magnum break. Bolts : Fire Bolt/Cold Bolt/Lightning Bolt are buffed with Volcano/Deluge/Whirlwind accordingly. Hint, For more Damage output, use Fiber lock>Mind Breaker>Volcano>Double Bolt> Fire Bolt. Land Protector: Places a defensive area of cells, where no other offensive nor defensive singe/area cell-target skill is allowed. (includes basilica/ clown&gypsy skills, ensemble skills, Battle Chant, Wiz AOE offensive skills, pneuma, safety wall, Magnus Exorcismus, etc. Can be countered by Ganbentein (Wizard Skill). Using volcano/deluge/whirlwind on your own Land protector will overlap it, cancelling the Land protector, and replacing with the next skill. Mind Breaker: Literally the MATK counterpart of provoke. can also be used to cancel e-calls just like provoke. reduces target's MDEF but increases its MATK. Soul Burn: Good support tool against SP-reliant users. Burns all target's SP, and damages it by twice the amount of burned SP. Success chance @ 70% most. Stave Crasher : Physical Long-ranged Attack that's acquired by having atleast L.prof Staff. It's Technically your MATK dealing with the target's DEF. This skill goes very well with inca OR thana card. Blinding Mist: Great Defensive tool. Applies a fog on a certain area, reducing any outcoming long-ranged physical attacks by 75% and has 75% chance to miss any outcoming non-targeted skills. Cannot be applied on volcano/whirlwind but deluge which lasts double (40 secs) Heaven's Drive/Thunderstorm: Detects hidden enimies in a small AOE and does pretty decent damage. Now that your character is complete, it's time to learn how to use him/her effectively in the next section.. __________________________________________________________________________ 4.) PvP and WoE Strategies Lord Knight: The only problem with this class is that they got high HP , they can go melee, and mid-range. Becareful when they go Bowling Bash w/ Thanatos, so i suggest using cloak[2] w/ 2skolls. when they go brandish spear/spiral pierce, just use fiber lock on them, then Blinding mist on their spot, and we're good to go. Beat 'em, Avoid 'em, your choice. Paladin: Due to the discovery that Stave crasher is a Long-ranged Physical attack, defending aura will greatly reduce your stave crasher's damage. And, be careful using bolts, because MATK reflect can trigger with +10armor[2] w/ 2frus + orlean's shield[1] w/ maya, which will do a 95% reflect. so with this, i suggest on preparing lvl1 and lvl10 bolts. spam lvl 1 first, making sure that they dont have reflect gears, then after spamming for quite some time, go lvl 10.if they go GTB, the best would be, using stave crasher on them, but make sure that you got deluge/BOS with you OR remove their shield by stripping them. Sniper: A very easy fight, volcano on your spot, cobweb the sniper, blinding mist on sniper's spot, go double bolt, MB the sniper, spam firebolts. If he's on GTB, use deluge instead, then BOS, spam Stave til death. Minstrel/Clown: Somewhat of a problem, thanks to Tarot card of Fate. they can break your armor/HG/weap, dispel you, lose your SP, and even Coma. If' the clown/Gypsy is a reducs type, this is where necromancer card is best at. having 4 of it ignores 8% OF Target's MDEF + MB them (which is -60% of their MDEF) and spam em till they die. Just dont forget to buff your bolts with volcano/deluge/whirlwind. If they go GTB, Stave as usual. High Wizard: Only moderately challenging depending on the skill of the player. This is more like of a battle of Stave Crashers, because most probably, you and your opponent wiz will go on GTB. Just spam stave as usual, but DONT USE Mindbreaker on enemy wiz. Professor: I troll these people with 95% MATK reflect + 2deviling cards, and it means instant death for them. but be careful about it because there might be some other people KOSing you. Best idea possible, would be, just go on your default gears, then GTB, then Stave as usual. Assassin Cross: This is where Maya purple is good at. Heaven's drive any Sinx do make 'em appear on your faiz, fiber lock, MB then kill. Sinx Got GTB? just Stave him til death and constantly fiber lock him to disable any movement. Stalker: Beware divest. Prepare your FCPer whenever you are trying to beat 'em. . Depending on their copied skill, refer to according class that has the skill. I can't suggest freezing them since players on this server has anti-freeze on mainhand, but take a try atleast. Creator: A moderate fight. just fiber lock them, put blinding mist on their spot, volcano on your spot and spam the hell out of your bolts. they got GTB? no problem. Stave 'em as usual xD Priest: Watch out for pneuma! and Dispel them as much as possible. But probably an easy kill, unless they're They're Asura priests. Just prepare some safety wall on you while bolting/stave crashing. Champion: A pretty hard fight. You can't fiber lock them because they can snap. When they go TSS, just blind mist on their spot. When they go asura, protect yourself with safety wall. Bolt and Stave as usual. Whitesmith: Pretty easy fight. These whitesmiths rely on buffs. dispel them everytime they buffs themselves. if they go GTB you can't Dispel them. But sure you can Stave Crash them right? xD Gunslinger: Goes the same with Snipers. Just be careful of thana users. Useful Add-ons: Siroma adds damage to cold bolts Imp adds damage to fire bolts Necromancer ignores 2% of target's MDEF Uber Poporing Gives 5%MATK and 25% damage vs. Demi Humans Thana Does damage depending on enemy's vit Def (Hard Def) Inca Ignore normal monster's Soft Def (equipment driven Def) TG Adds damage to all monsters by 20% Skeleton Worker Adds damage vs Medium monsters by 15% Box Of storm/Water Converter Adds water element on weapon Maya Card Reflects all single-target MATKs by 50% chance Phreeoni Adds 100 HIT These are only a couple strategies to get your brain working on how you'll be playing your Professor. I hope you've learned a thing or two frim this. I hope to see more successful professors around ^^ __________________________________________________________________________ 5.) Outro And That's it! :th_e14: :th_e32: Thanks for reading! I hope Fykka gives me some Gummy Worms this time :th_ok: :th_e30: Here's your cute chicken Fykka :3

Exactly. And this means, having 4AKs is better than any other cards(idk on thana's case XD) when attacking Boss-type monsters. and the reason why players only limit their cards for up to 2-3 cards of the same name of weapon, is to distribute bonuses on other modifiers.

Hi! Since Lara has persuaded me on how did i successfully trained a semi-geared Sinx to Outbreak other Full-geared Sinxs, i'm gonna be making this guide for all of you guys. Card Stacking = Combination of Essential Cards to fully optimize one's char in an objective. There are different factors that affect one's damage to a certain monster. And let's call those factors, "Modifiers". Modifiers are classified in 7 different types: Race/Class : Demi-Human/Plant/Angel/Demon/Brute/Insect etc. Element : Ghost, Holy, Shadow, Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, etc. Size: Small, Medium, Large. Special: Boss, Non-Boss. Specific: Exact Name of the Monster (ie. Guardians) Critical: (Critical Damage, not Critical Chance) Damage: (Percentile or Flat Damage/ATK) Now let's get down to business on how card stacking works. On this server, I've found out that there's NO card penalty on stacking multiple cards of the same name. It's widely known that 4TGs dont stack "properly". Technically is because on other servers, stacking 4TGs is penalized like this. (20% + 20% + 10% + 5%) and this penalty is not limited to TGs. However, after countless Trial & Errors (Thanks for the help of DarkX), i've found out that 4AKs does 100% damage vs Boss-type monsters (yes, it's not penalized) Disclaimer: Well, i havent tried stacking 8AKs yet, so why dont you try it out on my behalf? XD And what does this point out? you can maximize all the cards to it's fullest potential. Card Stacking Calculation. Every Modifier is counted as 100% default. However, when it comes to 'Size', it's depending on the weapon type, due to Size penalty. The Correct Card Stacking Calculation is gonna be like this: (Race x Element x Size x Special x Specific x Critical x Damage) represent these with numbers, and it's gonna be: (100% x 100% x 100% x 100% x 100% x 100% x 100%) If i got 4 AKs on my weapon (which is 25% vs Boss type monsters each card), it's gonna be like this : 100% x 100% x 100% x 200% x 100% x 100% x 100% , If your target monster is a Boss-type. Else, it's gonna be: 100% x 100% x 100% x 100% x 100% x 100% x 100%. In Addition, when it comes to card stacking vs. Demi-human, fRO has defaulted cards' bonus damage vs. Demi-human to 100% (Which means you can only have 200% capped vs. Demi-human, under the Race Modifier) If you wanna know how much damage are you doing with your card stacking, you should follow this one : (100% x 100% x 100% x 100% x 100% x 100% x 100%) x (Raw Damage x Weapon's element advantage/penalty) wherein, Raw Damage = your ATK without any worn equips. Weapon's element advantage/penalty can be seen here: http://ratemyserver.net/index.php?page=misc_table_attr With this, I've started to make my own calculator for my advantage :) /gg and this calculator of mine shows promise. I dun wan to spoonfeed everything to you and it's now your time to experiment on your own on how to outstand other people :) Have fun! Disclaimer: Thanks for persuading me Lara and Fykka on doing this guide. PS: If you wanna take a peek on my calculator, i wont let you :P i'm still doing some enhancements on it like placing fro customed items/cards and skills, and hopefully, even make it an All-in-one Damage Calculator. I would like to thank DarkX for his efforts on making these experiments a great success! PSS: It took me like 50 straight minutes, 2 Bottles of water, & 200grams of Gummy worms to make this guide. Please feel free to send Gummy worms as donations @>@ And Please feel free to share your knowledge and/or corrections about this guide. But please no burning T_T Moreover, when it comes to card stacking vs. Demi-human, fRO has defaulted cards' bonus damage vs. Demi-human to 100% (Which means you can only have 200% capped vs. Demi-human)
