If your using a desktop Its either One of your fan is dead or the thermal paste in between the processor needs to be replaced. Most common things I could think of why it's overheating or you overclocked it. So it's not really frozen the screen is just glitching. Add me on skype as Im bad at explaining in writing

Yeah I dont suggest disabling it just put it on level 2 so it doesn't dim your screen every time it pops up. I havent confirmed it yet but I think it has something to do with the Aero Theme of the desktop (Glass effect) thats making your screen go black, because when mine is turned off I dont really have this type of problems even if my screen dims on an authentication popup

What he said or you can configure your laptop to turnoff the screen when you close it but its still running

Try to reset your Setting by Running the Rag Setup and also try to lower your UAC Level to 2 that normally helps and it also fixes the screen freezing when RO is already running and you opened something that needs admin authentication. The admin authentication will still popup but it will not dim nor freeze your screen

It works well if you have multi screens or wide screen like mine is 1600x900, It also gives me a better view range but that's just me

How to resize your Windowed Client If your tired of your 1280x768 Screen Resolution then follow this guide on how to resize your window mode so it sits perfectly on your screen 1. Go and Open Start Menu 2. Type in regedit in the Search box 3. The regedit program should come up right click on that 4. Run it as administrator 5. An Authorization Box will pop up Click Yes (This box doesn't appear when you turn down your UAC Setting) 6. A Window with Split View will appear. On the Left Panel locate your HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE folder and expand it 7. Locate your SOFTWARE Folder and expand it as well *Note (32-bit) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Gravity Soft\Ragnarok (64-bit) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Gravity Soft\Ragnarok 8. Locate your Ragnarok Folder and click on it and it should show your Ragnarok Configuration Data in Raw Form 9.
