i have spoken to many players including new ones to the server and most of them use /bm. from what i can tell most of the server uses /bm anyway. -
the bonus stats won't boost the damage by that much, and it's going to make dispell less of an instant defeat when it comes to star glad. besides the weapon will be a donate only so it's gotta be better than the older non donate weapon...

how about a fix for SG cape to just giving them +20% HP with +20 str, and +20 luk. would that be acceptable for everyone?

the forsaken star glad book does indeed help the damage but with these stats for a donate weapon it makes the donate weapon better than the non donate weapon without breaking the class completely. so we can all agree on implimenting this new book then yes?

I spoke to a lot of people about this and turns out most of the players use /bm anyway. So it would in fact be more helpful to have it automatic with the /bm. Besides everyone should be using it anyway lol. -

you do realize that weight limit buff will go away when you die or leave the map right? also giving it a 5% damage boost won't ruin the class. 210k HP with little to no vit maybe on double tao which will get you killed. anyway the class gets dispelled once and it loses the ability to never miss and pierce defense. because most people don't use a weapon on the class that means they don't have that much hit (if you have a ton of dex for hit you're build is shit and you should quit the class now). thus leaving us with what? this leaves us with a class that will eventually be able to fight other classes as long as they don't get dispelled (which a good player can beat a star glad even if it has hatred on them as i have already done before), if the class does dispel the star gladiator then they lose all the hit they have and the def pierce forcing them to use a weapon which reduces their damage even more. all in all once the star glad gets dispelled they are done. if the star glad uses GTB against a good player the star glad is dead. this all depends on who you fight, if you fight a shitty player then you will win, but if you fight someone who knows what they are doing you won't beat them even with hatred. this is why giving the cape and the ring a 5% damage boost wouldn't kill the class and giving the cape a +20 str boost and +20 dex boost along with a bonus to HP would benefit the class because it is a donate item so it should be worth buying. as it stands it's not worth a penny, nobody in their right mind would buy the item and use it. as far as the ring goes it's a difficult quest, the items for it are expensive as hell, and the quest requires a party to complete, so why not make it worth completing?

how about just giving them a +30 str, +30 dex, incant effect, and +100 hit with 4 slots and a +15% HP bonus instead?

fine then as far as the ring goes have it give more HP an extra 30% or something since it's not going to give a damage boost. or maybe even more of a stat bonus, the bonus stats would help instead of a direct damage boost.

the melee damage isn't that strong when you consider the fact that the damage can be out healed without much problem. regardless though as I have stated in my other post I'm done arguing on this subject, and as such the weapon needs to be developed. make it however you want but the same thing applies with the cape, if it's not worth donating for nobody is going to get it because it's still going to be a piece of shit, and this would have become a huge waste of time for this post and all those that have replied to it.

all right well honestly I'm done arguing on this subject, since obviously I know nothing when others that have played the class for years upon years have all agreed with me. Although the cape needs a fix, fix it however you want but if it's not half way decent nobody is going to spend the money to buy the damn thing, and if that happens this entire post is for nothing because one GM thinks he knows everything about it and is the cause for a huge waste of time.

the running and flying side kick was already calculated for one. also 25% of 60 thousand is 15 thousand meaning an additional 25% damage would improve damage by 15k come on now... middle school math here. regardless of that you will find nobody donating for this if it's not useful, and currently you have given every other class either a huge stat buff, HP buff, or damage buff. if you want to give a huge stat buff to str and dex/luk then I'm up for that too but the fact of the matter is, this needs a buff. as far as the star glads not requiring kiels that's a load of shit they need at least 3 kiels to spam flying side kick thanks to the delay on it that genesis has. on top of that a sniper has range of a star glad making them far more maneuverable than a star glad is on top of the strip, and the ability to resist strip from stalkers or other classes. even with 0 kiels a sniper can still spam double strafe which deals close to the same amount of damage as FAS if the sniper isn't complete shit.

my calculations are solid. regardless if you take a star glad using no weapon and put a weapon on them even with 100% damage cards it will still do less damage than without a weapon at all. the reason for this is because running without a weapon gives you a str boost. now then if we boost the damage of flying side kick or boost the demi human damage for the weapon it will null this giving them the same damage as without a weapon as well as the survivability effects you are suggesting. I really don't see how this is a hard concept to grasp hell my 5 year old cousin understands it... it's not affecting the damage to classes simply because it's adding the damage that would be there regardless if the star glad didn't use a weapon.

are you going to donate for an item that's not worth having? no you're not. so far I have seen 1 star glad cape, this just shows NOBODY is donating for it. even if it's just an HP boost it's still not worth spending 40 bucks on an item that's not much better than sacred golden wings. honestly if it's not going to give a damage boost or something of that sort then it's not worth buying. other capes give damn good stats to the classes they are set for. just because one star glad manages to ass rape people doesn't mean that everyone is going to do the same. the calculations I was talking about are the damage calculations for my own FSK, for instance me using flying side kick against a geared sinx, 60k + 25% = 75k, so the kick damage is only going up by 15k. this damage boost is not a major boost it's only making it so the ring is worth having and doing the long ass quest to get it and making it worth donating for the item. this is simple buyer need and seller provides. if you don't sell what the buyers need they don't buy, and currently you're not selling what the buyer needs (which also explains why nobody is buying). ohh and by the way that damage calculation was from a real duel against a sinx and yes the 60k was my real kick damage and not something I'm making up.

people are supporting my suggestion because it's the right thing to do. every class has a damage boost and hell look at it this way snipers get a massive damage boost. a fully geared sniper deals 40k+ with FAS and can spam it from a distance and use charge arrow, so are you trying to tell me that it's fair for one class to be able to get a weapon that gives a damage boost but it's not okay for another less played but equally powerful class to not have a weapon to give a damage boost? good sir I do believe that you have contradicted yourself in this case. how can you treat one class one way and turn around and pretty much give a "fuck you" to another class. the weapon would cost 30 bucks sorry but not a chance in hell would i donate for a weapon that just gives HP, phre effect, and incant effect, not a living chance in hell. if you want people to actually buy this weapon then it requires a damage boost as well, it's completely unfair to give classes like snipers, super novice, and every other damn class on the server a weapon to increase damage (and from what I have seen they can put out pretty much equal damage to a star glad). how is that fair? how can you give one class a damage boost and leave another class hanging? I can tell you that even with a weapon BUILT for damage my damage is reduced by 2k-5k damage per kick depending on the class i'm hitting, compared to using no weapon and going bare handed. there's a reason that I suggested the damage boost for flying side kick. it's to counter this reduction of damage and so worst comes to worst it's doing the same damage as without a weapon. I sort of was hoping that you would realize this and I wouldn't have to waste both of our times by me explaining this.

well since you know so much about the class then you must realize that the star gladiators deal more damage without a weapon than a using a current weapon that's available and so the weapon they will need HAS to give an increase in damage or else nobody will use that either. seriously test it out yourself. in any case the damage as i have stated in the other topic is not only for the hatred classes it's for the other classes that have no hatred. as i have already stated if your class has hatred on it it's sort of a 1 sided fight against someone who knows the class like i do, there's almost no chance to win that fight. as far as other people using the class they aren't half as good as i am so the damage bonus would help them but regardless it's not hard to beat most of them (especially from what i have seen of them using the class).

even with a hatred reset npc there's more than 3 classes that do pvp and so the additional damage would be for them not the other hatred classes. if my star glad has a class on hatred that class will not beat my star glad i know the class better than anyone else here and it's pretty sad some of the damage output i have now. the reason i'm suggesting the damage increase for the ring is because for starters it's a donate required item to make the ring, secondly it's hard as shit to make, and so with those two requirements it should be damn worth making and having it. the rest of the population see's no problem with it as I have already done the math and if used by me it could be very strong indeed but if used by other players the effectiveness for the item is decreased by far (mostly because pretty much everyone else sucks with the class).
