This topic will always remain a discussion as personal opinions regarding the interface differ. One thing is for sure that if we eventually make the move (if ever) we will create an implementation plan. Almost every change we make is tested beforehand, of course this won't be an exception. The reason for her ban had nothing to do with her offering help or her having a local test server. Her having a testserver also does not give her access to any codes related to FRO. She was blatantly breaking the server rules in other ways and thought it'd go unnoticed. As Danger stated, just because you offer to help the server, it doesn't mean you can break server rules and get away with it.Ps. We do have Endless tower and other in-game renewal events that didn't require the client change.

I'm pretty convinced it is your ping that is holding you back. Setting up pingzapper correctly could greatly improve your spam but in general your ping will be way higher than others due to the distance.

Simply run the file you downloaded and follow it's instructions.

Does he have setup.exe or opensetup.exe? If he has opensetup.exe let him try to change from lua to reg (button bottom left) or the other way around. If that doesn't work try running in compatibility mode, both the setup and the client.

Hi there, if you're able to ping just fine but can not connect to the server then something is blocking your FkenRO client from accessing the internet. I'd recommend to close all your internet browser windows, then disable your antivirus and firewall for 1 minute to see if this allows you to connect. If so, turn them back on again and double check the exceptions. Specially inside of the firewall.

I'm assuming you're not getting an gravity error so please try the following: Help, When I start the game it closes immediately with no error message/ Is so small I can't use it! Go to your RO folder Open the setup application by double clicking it. At the top bar select your graphic card Select the resolution that you want (Always pick one lower or equal to your current resolution, not higher). Press OK. Right click your setup application and click run as administrator. Select the resolution that you want (Always pick one lower or equal to your current resolution, not higher). Press OK. Start the game by double clicking FkenRO.exe Your client should now work. Optional: On windows 8 make sure you disable full screen mode at the setup as full screen mode does not cooperate with windows 8 very well. If the above doesn't work you might be using opensetup.exe which will require you to click on a small button on the bottom left of the setup to change from LUA to REG.

The third job patch replaces the 2nd trancended class sprites for the 3rd job ones. It doesn't actually give you the broken 3rd job skills. If you're having trouble running the client/replacing the files let me know here. the current info you've given is a bit vague.

2 notes: The description on opposition is not wrong. for example only level 1 opposition works on the emperium. It has requirements when used on mobs. Level Description 1 Mark as Target of the Sun. On mobs, it can only be used on Small monsters. 2 Mark as Target of the Moon. On mobs, it can only be used on Medium size monsters that have a Maximum HP higher than 6,000. 3 Mark as Target of the Stars. On mobs, it can only be used on Large size monsters that have a Maximum HP higher than 20,000. Small advantages can also be gained by setting your maps as the sun, moon and star. (you can only do this once) each of these designated maps allows you to use a few active skills that give you a slight buff. Also another little tip is to look into the tumbling skill more. it does more than you think ^_~

Short answer to your question as I'm on my phone: No. It's not possible to add the renewal interface without changing the client. Unfortunately :(. Also I have played RO and pvpd a lot over the past years. My personal preference goes to the default GUI instead of the renewal one. I personally dislike the new skill tree and I dislike the default/forced BM as well. Though this is just my personal opinion.

Basically, technically it is possible to add renewal features without the third jobs on a default eAthena based server. But you have to understand not every server has the same structure. To add things like these there will have to be major changes to the ways things are set up right now. 1: Client. We would require a new diffed client to implement the above. 2: GRF. Along with a new client comes a new grf file which will also need rather large additions to it's current form. 3: Client packets. The client packets will change and can cause bugs. 4: ID's change. Monster/quest/item/NPC IDs will change and interfere with current custom features. Custom mobs, quests, items etc. Together with this the renewal items will be implemented. Most of them are based on the new stat system and are 'balanced' based on the renewal setup. These effects can become severely unbalanced on their own. All in all I'm sure Genesis can mention a lot more issues and things to change that I'm not aware of if we'd decide to try and implement this. He's the only one that can tell you whether it's possible at all at this time. I just think it's a huge amount of work for what seems to me, very little benefit.

Seems like you're heavily outdated and your downloading the patch at 4 KB/s which is extremely slow. I'd recommend you to download and install the small installer instead of running the patcher.

My personal view on this is that backslide should stay disabled. WoE is a team game, each class has their own role. Allowing backslide would allow assassins to get through traps , webs and precasts very easily, removing the need for remove trap classes, magnetic field and so on. WoE right now is already a breaking fest I don't see reason to make it even easier to break. Keep in mind this is my personal opinion and doesn't represent the entire GM team.

Changing this would require us to create a new client. I'm not sure if it's possible to change to a newer client with our current setup/settings. It'll be up to Genesis. As we are not able to support you further on this issue I'll be closing this topic.

The Magnus Exorcismus skill is unchanged on our server. Please make sure you don't wear any equipment that allows you to use certain skills that are part of your own skill table. To make sure of this : Unequip all your items and then level up all your skills. You should be able to get it :) As for the tarot part, I believe that only works when using the full combo of cards.

Hey there, I just tested the direct download myself and it indeed seems to be down. I will notify the admin and see if it can be fixed as soon as possible. I apologize for the inconvenience. The torrent most likely stopped downloading because we use dedicated seeders. They might be related to the same IP as the one that is down. (Not sure :O! ). Again other games don't decide whether you'll have high ping here or not. It all has to do with the routing your ISP chooses. I'd recommend you to try using pingzapper and see if that reduces your lag.

BM is still there (similar to the renewal way) simply by using /bm . Setting it up is just a tad tricker due to an older interface.

Endless tower doesn't have any rewards atm. It's just there for the challenge. If you want it to give a reward you can always make a suggestion topic :)
