Daylight Savings Time 2016

Recommended Posts

Posted

Hello everyone,

It's time to adjust your clocks for Daylight Savings Time which will happen on November 5 at 2AM. It means that server time will move 1 hour backwards. Please inform everyone that all events like WoE, BR, GvG, etc will be adjusted.

Thanks!

Sorry for my ignorance but is this before or after 2.0?

And WOE times are incremented by 1hr. right? Like American WOE currently is 20:00, it will be 21:00 during DST

If I am not mistaken, it's after 2.0. WoE, BR, GvG, and other automated events are scheduled the same way but players outside the server time needs to adjust their time. Since you're GMT+8, your American WoE which used to be 08:00 in your country will be 09:00 now. I hope that clears everything.

Hello

Some corrections here:

DST will finish on november 6th at 2 am server time (UTC/GMT -4) going backward to 1 am

Between Saturday (American) WoE and Sunday GvG

WoE and weekly events will remain hosted at scheduled time (20:00 server time)

What this change means is that: depending on where you live, you should adjust your time to attend events one hour after than before

Let's give an example with Friday's WoE (2.0) and assume that You live in Philippines [UTC/GMT +8 hours]

Right now:          WoE 2.0 at fRO Server Time [UTC/GMT -4] = friday 20:00 | Philippines Time [UTC/GMT +8 hours] = saturday 8:00
After DST ends: WoE 2.0 at fRO Server Time [UTC/GMT -4] = friday 20:00 | Philippines Time [UTC/GMT +8 hours] = saturday 9:00

Hope this makes more clear for You or anyone out there.

If still confused or need example on different zone, You can use this tool :)
