qperteplex Posted June 13, 2015 Report Posted June 13, 2015 (edited) Yo, We got all theses nice events and all but they are repetitive and boring and I do know we have an active suggestion with a bunch of new event ideas but I doubt that they would be implemented right away due to the events being new and still need to be tested out and not to mention there is alot of them. So I suggest to return a previous event we had which has been implemented but cancelled due to abusive players. The event that I am talking about is KOE or King of Emperium. A brief explanation for this event is that players will go to a map and in the middle is the emperium. The guild which gains the last hit wins and each member gets a minigame token, which was convertible back then to 14 e.toks CMIIW. The emperium in KOE has a different property compared to the WOE emp. KOE was abused by AFK'ing a bunch of chars in the map and once they win they would harvest the tokens in each of those AFK chars. My suggestion for this event and some methods to avod it being exploited 1. Only 1 player will win. We called this event "KING" of emperium didn't we? 2. We change the emp to its old days as a plant type meaning all players damage to it will only be 1 and the attack must be a "Non-skill neutral attack". 3. The HP of it shouldn't be much, my estimate is 20k. Debatable 4. Reward: I recall that average rewards is 7 e.toks but this was a GM initiated event and not an automated one. So this is debatable but I suggest to add supplies at least 5 seed tix 5. BC the winning player's name and enable the kill streak 6. PVP enabled of course but has friendly fire 7. Do not show the emp HP 8. Disable @commands 9. Keep the NPC inside that will warp you out of the event These are my suggestions and I may add yours if it is fair and just Ciao EDIT: Grammar nazi Credits: Victoria I want a flag with my face on it if ever this gets approved Edited June 14, 2015 by qperteplex
Victoria Posted June 13, 2015 Report Posted June 13, 2015 Ohh my new event ideas has been mentioned :th_ho: Yes I am familiar with this event, but never tried it. The NPC should exclude the party system in the Event, so PvP is free for all (use of AoE skill such as SG, FAS, etc. will also make you hit your guildmates) I agree with having only one winner for this event (this is automated right?) that will be the perfect solution for cheating players The HP of the emperium should be big, a little less than the real emperium probably but let's somehow make it like a replica of the real WoE Increasing the prize of Event tokens from 7 to 12 could probably be sufficient, because this will be a little hard event. The prize depends on how many times this event will be hosted in a single day. This should be held about twice a day probably? or once. This is an Event for geared players obviously, but this can also be a practice ground for newbies who wants to experience WoE (there will surely be less people in this event, rather than the real WoE, so this can also be a practice ground for newbies to familiarize themselves with the castles) And those are my insights :) :th_ok:

I didn't go over board with the HP as it would cost the participant alot of seeds to participate and the HP is kept low coz the damage that it would be receiving is only '1' by any player. Given that they would accept the term that only non-skill physical attacks would hit so that in offense, everyone is on an even playing field. This would negate combo skills (i.e. Double attack, Trifecta, etc.) as they are still active skills. AFAIK, the early emp in RO days were designed like this. So its a definite NO for me to have this replicate WOE as it would make breaking the emp advantageous to a few classes. It was part of the automated event but was removed due to what I stated earlier. It should be played once at least once a day just so there would be a new event and a not so boring one. Other than this I find Novice vs zombies and Novice dodgeball fun but both of these are GM initiated events. This event is just not meant for geared players. You do not need to be fully geared to spam seeds. Besides you can try your luck if you are a ranged char if you wanna play it safe.

Ohh well if your damage will be 1, then it would probably be best if the HP will be 25k (Wasn't able to read your ideas correctly :th_sry: ), let's put a little difficulty in here since it is more of the physical damage and there is a possibility of many players playing this event. The 5k HP Boost is an extra time given for PvPing (killing those who have been attacking the emp ever since the Event started) Well I agree with having to negate combo skills like the ones you said, as it would give everyone who joins the event an equal chance of winning. Since it'll be an automated event, I don't think Seed tickets will be given here, and the prize won't probably be Event tokens, but the usual mini game tokens. (How much event tokens you'll get when you convert the mini game tokens?) Before I forgot, are commands disabled here or enabled? like the use of @storage and such. I support this idea, I rarely use +1 nowadays, but since this is an event, +1!! Edited June 14, 2015 by Victoria

To give the ones still in the room a higher probability of winning. While were at it, I recall there being a NPC to warp you out. Just in case if you do need to restock And to not show the emp HP also Will be adding this to the main suggestion
Victoria Posted June 14, 2015 Report Posted June 14, 2015 Why do you need an NPC that warps you out of the Event? We can probably make an NPC that will warp you to one particular place in the Event wherein you can use storage (A Kafra is present there) or repair your items or whatsoever. That place will be a small square area and PvP is disabled there. We can make it have these options: Use storage Repair Items Warp to Castle Or if you have anymore options that you want to suggest, feel free to do so We can also make it the resurrection area, after you get killed you will be warped there and you can still participate in the Event.

Better off they are warped to their last save point to reduce the hassle of coding the new map or customizing a map for that request as the options to those are available with kafra. Its actually not a suggestion as I recall that the NPC was available and it was positioned like 15-20 cells away from the emp. This will let them re supply outside and would cause them to be more concious in using their supplies
Victoria Posted June 14, 2015 Report Posted June 14, 2015 (edited) Instead of making a custom map, we can probably let the NPC as you say to warp them to the Event Room wherein they can use @storage and such. They will be resurrected there also just like dieing in the Cluck Cluck Boom Event. It will be easier for them to go back to the Event and it will consume less time. Rayray Posted June 17, 2015 Report Posted June 17, 2015 I like this because as an Event, whenever it is on I can just go in with the character I was using and not bother gearing up a breaker.
