Really care that much about how your weapon looks? You quested a almost donation like weapon, why care if it has a sprite or not? I'd rather use sprite-less equips if it gave more stats.

When using a skill or attacking (such as in pvp) you don't really focus on yourself you focus on your opponent anyway. We're lucky enough this server has legendary equivalents to donation items. You could be using a no stat bonus sword or spending a lot more money every time you wanted to try out a job.

I really do not mind spriteless legendary weapons, the utility comes first. And I would like you to make a sprite for all the legendary weapons if you can, let's see if you can do it. 1

Or if GMs decided to reuse the Valkyrie sprites for the Legendary sprites (which I don't see happening).

mondtochter Posted June 25, 2014 Report Posted June 25, 2014 (edited) Well, I don't see my weapon when I attack, only when I use "Mystical Amplification", but I agree with the sprite thing. I mean, I wan't to see "something" in my hands, even if it's not a cool custom sprite. A lot of staffs looks like a simple Rod, but I don't care, at least I can see something and not only doing an animation move without a "weapon". For now, I'm using HW and I really don't miss the sprite, but.. in the case of another jobs, I'll really miss them. So, I like the idea of a normal sprite just to see them. I agree with the loss of realistic sense, I mean I can throw bolts of fire whenever I scream "Firebolt!". Incidentally, carrying a cart behind me has always made me move faster. I also been living off seeds since 2008. It. Is. A. Game. There is no "realistic sense".

He got a weapon that is 80% of the donation ones just by doing a quest, and he starts his suggestion by dissing it because it does not have a sprite? I find that much more rude than what I said. Legendary weapons are not even 80% of the valks a few years back, the community and the GM Team made it 80% to bridge the gap between donators and non-donators. I'm sorry, but the way he stated his suggestion is a bit disrespectful to the ones who made it possible to quest for a good item on par with donation ones, especially on the GM Team that includes GM Wish back then. I am merely saying a fact: We do not have a dedicated spriter. If he wants sprites for the legendary weapons, he would have to show us some. Suggesting aesthetic things like this one and merely saying "make a sprite" will not get anywhere. .

Pretty basic, functions mostly like twitter honestly(follow and tweet, then of course direct messaging at least). I just making it so that it works on smartphones as well. I cant make it so that people upload pics and stuff on it, that would cost me a lot just for server costs.

It'll be nice to be able to post pictures easier and I'm usually on mobile so it sounds really great. Good luck with developing.

Okay Jake look here. This is the situation. Yes, I agree that there probably should be sprites for these weapons. The GM team can reuse the Valkyrie weapon sprites (which they won't) or put some other generic RO weapon sprite. If we had a custom spriter, this probably wouldn't be a problem. However, this is an aesthetic issue. This doesn't affect anything with how the weapons function. Because of this, I'd prefer if GMs consider this a low priority problem. I would much rather GMs get to working on new things or fixing things that are broken. L. weapons aren't broken. Also FYI, "realistic sense" is a horrible argument to use in a game.
