It may be able to lessen 3pp users but the question is for how long? If you're trying to bypass a hackshield for a private RO server, you're the biggest nerd i've ever seen. It's only 200$ for lifetime membership which is nothing considering the donators on this server.

About being a "nerd", too big of a word coming from you chump. How much of a nerd do you think you are when you're still playing ragnarok online? o.O Anyways, I'm merely stating facts which I think the game mods may have also considered. The game has been running for a long time, I doubt they still haven't heard about it.

It is true that there are some ways to bypass Harmony but not everyone can and will do it. Still, for a 200$, you kinda get your money's worth(if what they claim are all true). Even if you can bypass it, it will be plain obvious due to these reasons: 1. Once harmony is implemented, it will take time for someone to bypass it. Meaning everyone will actually know how a skill is spammed. 2. If someone then finally bypass it, he will stick out like a sore thumb, which makes him easier to ban. I think harmony provides a hardware ban thingy. I doubt people will be able to play once IP and Hardware Ban are in place. Personally, I would want to ban all macros, including the ones that come with gaming keyboards. That way we cannot have that ridiculous "i have a gaming gear" excuse whenever someone gets banned. But I know everyone will rage about that.

But I know everyone will rage about that. I wasn't offended by the word. It was the way it was phrased. If you read my post you would've understood that I also called myself a nerd. You have a point on your no.2 reason but how will you really know if a person is using a macro? If I were the guy, I can just easily say that I'm too near the server that's why I can spam like hell and if in case of my ip being checked, well there are alot of ways. I don't have anything against macro users, it just make other people who are too far away from the server to be able to fight evenly with people who are near the server. What I don't like are the people who use bots or third party programs other than macro to exploit things.

Cannot count how many times I killed someone with a weird spam due to him only spamming and me slapping on ring of resonance.

People accuse my guild of bn usage all the time while they are sick of 3rd party program users themselves. Back to the topic though I think Harmony should be worth it considering that specific programs are needed to hide stuff like bn and auto pot. Those may be not impossible to get, but at least we'll have that time without any 3rd party programs that can be used as reference ( like ray said). Edited July 17, 2014 by ChainBreak

The main reason why skill spammers work at all (and they work on every server) is because Gravity had the genius idea to have client side delay be different from server side delay. As a result, some skills (many of which we have modified to coincide with server side delay) are determined by the client, not the server. We have had multiple waves of skill delay changes over the years. Some skills obviously still need to be adjusted and I would appreciate it if you guys left me know what they are (since you are in PvP more than I am).However, those who have been saying that you are able to spam 110% of what the server allows you to are dead wrong. Lastly, those who do not know about the server's financial situation should not be commenting on them. Specially when you have no clue what the cost to run the servers (yes, there are multiple servers) is. The server is in decent financial shape, primarily because I have a full time job that allows me to bail it out if/when it is necessary. Commenting on something when you have 0 clue about just shows everyone how little you know about the subject. Sometimes its best to ask, think, then speak.
