Angelooo Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 Hi guys!! Sooo.. Our economy sucks. Why? Prices go high for no reason. The reason I only see is people sell things too OP. Until people do it too and it became the normal price. Example: Friggs shield price before=850-950token price now=1k-1.1k. The result of this economy is RICH people gets richer while POOR people gets poorer. It's proven. Go check Philippine's economy and the outcome. 1 Quote
llarenasonny Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 Also the prices of rare emp like gvg emp. It cost 10k jast time and its n0w ar0und 16k n0w. Quote
ThePerfectHit Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 Just because someone is selling an item over market price doesnt mean you have to buy it. Its the people buying the item that raise the market price, if you refuse to buy it the seller will lower his price. The item is only worth what someone is willing to pay Quote
Angelooo Posted May 10, 2014 Author Report Posted May 10, 2014 People are forced to buy items that are OP it is because more people sell it at a greater price than the normal price than people sell it at the normal price. Quote

Thats their fault for not being patient, if they are upset at the prices, dont buy. People will lower if their items arent selling. Quote

Well.. Sellers don't have to take advantage of it. My point is to realize people what will happen to the server when it will become too expensive. New people will leave if they found out how expensive our server is. 1 Quote
Ami Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 Put it like this.. i would rather sell my item for a higher price to get a profit, and buy another item for a lower price. That's how trading works. K? Patience from Ken Shin. Quote
Angelooo Posted May 10, 2014 Author Report Posted May 10, 2014 Of couse a lot of people wants a BIG profit. You guys don't understand me. -_- Quote
seth7777 Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 Greed is greed, there is no solution for it. :th_ok: :th_ok: :th_ok: patience will now cure anything as well because everyone has adopted to higher prices. one day item prices will sky rocket to the point that no one will buy them. Sellers will then lower their prices and the economy will stabilize afterwards...maybe after the price of tgk has reached 200! hahahaha! :th_e4: Quote
ThePerfectHit Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 Of course its expensive to get geared, if the person wanted a server where he could get geared in a day or week then he should play a SHR. It just takes time, it makes sense the players that have been here longer are way richer than ppl that have been here a few months. Quote
Angelooo Posted May 10, 2014 Author Report Posted May 10, 2014 I just do care about the server's future. -_- Quote
Ami Posted May 10, 2014 Report Posted May 10, 2014 well most of the rich people are gone. just saying.. :th_e27: I just do care about the server's future. -_- i think it doesn't affect that much of the server's future. Quote
Angelooo Posted May 10, 2014 Author Report Posted May 10, 2014 Yeah I know. I'm an old player here. And you look familiar to me. :) Quote

bahista01 Posted May 11, 2014 Report Posted May 11, 2014 (edited) In a 600 population server where pretty much half are afk, you are left with so called "traders" who sell high and buy low. Maybe there's like the same 20 people spamming the Broadcast and manipulating the prices. What I don't understand is why farmable things like seeds, cspeeds etc. keep dropping and donation items just inflate like hell. As a newbie who mostly farm seed tix I'm very disheartened. You'll say "to wait" but I'm sitting on my 1000 seed tix for a week now waiting for at least 6:1 deal. So yeah, the market for newbies is dead at least. For the highrollers life just goes on. ziegfred21 Posted May 11, 2014 Report Posted May 11, 2014 to the guy who wrote this.. i think you're just pissed because you cant buy what you need and you only have enough token for old price of item you need.. im newbie in this server but i cant see any prob. with the economy.. remember everything changes, just live with it.. im newbie and im frankly speaking that i only have few hundreds of token but i don't think server sucks because of the high economy.. i can farm token to buy item that i need, the first day i played on this server i saw someone selling kiel for 80toks only now it went to 90-95. you cant blame sellers also because they just want to make profit, its called "BUSINESS" if ever you haven't heard of it yet.. the only thing that makes the economy grows because of mass token that ppl has and having huge amount of tokens or money can control economy its called "law of supply and demand" .. and where that token came from?? it came from the people who bought tokens from the website means "donation" and donations are keeping our lovely server alive.. ^_^ two words dude "MOVE ON" "sorry for bad English its not my native language" Quote

This is true, not only half of those people are selling but you would need to meet them in their own time zones if you wanted or wanted to sell a certain item. Whats wrong here is that you compare a donate item that you are going to have to cough up your hard earned cash to get or even if a player would be willing to sell it and an item that you can easily get in game by just farming in seed room. Which is definitely not in the same field. Items go high due to scarcity and patience of a player. You wanna know why friggs went that high? Its because EOF is being hoarded by a guild. When I started EOF was around 100, now its like 5 to 6 times its old price. There is a reason behind why an item racks up in price. Economy is a matter of supply and demand. If you would be willing to buy at that price for a frigg because you were rushed, its your own fault for not being patient. Wanna fix the economy? Stop those hoarders. Hell, even donate items are being hoarded. I got a load of king gears in my storage cause they will definitely be useful and I got em cheap for about 85 to 90. How? Cause I waited. There are also other factors in selling items, Such as being new. O.Hels back then was being sold at around 2k a piece when it is just the same value as other donate weapons. The use of the weapon and the class also comes into play. Priest class gears are cheap as they are not used by alot of players as well as GS gears as they got nerfed. Quote

I can understand why you feel that way. However, seed tickets and consumable items in general are no longer the best way to earn tokens. I'd recommend either selling your farming services for people doing the storyline quests/farm ingredients for it and sell them, selling legendary items, and things more of that nature. Also, do you know about our vote forsaken king set and the legendary quests? Because these basically eliminate the need for tokens for new players. You would definitely be able to play with just vote/legendary gears. Items that you'd need tokens for are mostly aesthetic, with the exception of more "end-game" items like the storyline rings. It might be worth checking out our getting started guide if you haven't already: https://forsaken-ro.net/getting-started/ PS: More than half of our players are active at a time, not that many people are AFK. Most AFK people will go to Fcity; however, there's lots of people who are actively hunting MvPs, farming, questing, etc. And not everyone in Fcity is AFK either, I see a lot of activity there during peak times in the day. :) ================= As for the topic: yes, prices fluctuate in an economy. This depends largely on supply and demand. People will inflate prices, but only if people are willing to pay that inflated price. I've been here for a long time and there will always be ups and downs in the economy: it's pretty normal. I'm not quite sure what your suggestion is, but if people do have suggestions I would still be interested in hearing them. I will say though that GM interference in the economy usually would not be good. Quote
