Norse_Joog Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 I think it would be better if Jackets can change colors base on the palette color exchanger It seems this donation lower headgear is dumped even its a new released headgear unlike the rings And I think it would also be nice if Rings Bless or Curse can change color too What do you think? for example Black or Red , anyone? 1
Sensation Posted March 18, 2014 Report Posted March 18, 2014 If you're able and willing to make 550 palettes for the jackets, I think it could be nice. 2

Ichiro Posted March 26, 2014 Report Posted March 26, 2014 I think it would be better if Rings can be exchanged to Jacket and vice versa. (Bless Jacket = Bless Ring, Curse Jacket = Curse Ring, And vice versa)
Zombee Posted March 26, 2014 Report Posted March 26, 2014 I think it would be better if Rings can be exchanged to Jacket and vice versa. (Bless Jacket = Bless Ring, Curse Jacket = Curse Ring, And vice versa)I agree completely. They cost the same money wise, yet you have to practically give jackets away.
reggae Posted March 26, 2014 Report Posted March 26, 2014 What sensation said. Plus, there's many equips that have only the one colour. If the GMs implement this, people would ask for the others.
Bishop Posted March 26, 2014 Report Posted March 26, 2014 Giving them colors matching to all the outfits means you'll have to make a recolor of every cape for every pallet there is. You do not simply create 550 different versions of the sprite , it'll take extremely long to do.
bataclanmarriel Posted March 26, 2014 Report Posted March 26, 2014 but this idea was nice ^_^sad part is..extremely long to do. by:GM bishop ^^
Norse_Joog Posted March 27, 2014 Author Report Posted March 27, 2014 (edited) You do not simply create 550 different versions of the sprite , it'll take extremely long to do. this means FRO is not just an ordinary server, it already made a whole to the next level which we can simply call EVOLUTION ^^ If you're able and willing to make 550 palettes for the jackets, I think it could be nice. If only I have the skills and knowledge to make one, I already made an example But unfortunately not , that's why I express this ideas into this suggestions to find someone willing with the ability to create Edited March 27, 2014 by Norse_Joog 1

With every change that we make we have to consider whether the time invested in it is worth it or not. It is not 'evolution' to recolor a single sprite 550 times because people want it to match their exact cloth color. Considering the outcome of this change compared to the time invested in it, it would certainly (in my opinion) not be worth it. Keep in mind that every item individually would have to be recolored. The blessed ring, the cursed ring and the jackets. Changing all these to match the cloth colors would take month(s) of fulltime-job recoloring. Time that could be spend differently. I simply don't think we have the resources for this.
SlingerzDeluxez Posted March 27, 2014 Report Posted March 27, 2014 Perhaps, instead of doing it to match all of the palettes, which is, as stated, by far too much work, we could do base colors (like our valkyrie helms) and recolor it to the same colors the valk helms are offered in? Also, maybe we could change the valk exchanger (or whatever the NPCs name is) to something more universal, such as Color Exchanger. This way, we would have variety with at most, a couple weeks worth of work, possibly more (I dont wanna say anything certain about the length, never worked with sprites before. :\)
exe_calibur Posted March 27, 2014 Report Posted March 27, 2014 +1 To SlingerzDeluxez's idea on base colors. A Cape Color Changer or enabling the Valk Helm to go "Universal" with rings and capes would be a great update.
Norse_Joog Posted April 3, 2014 Author Report Posted April 3, 2014 ou don't get my point. With every change that we make we have to consider whether the time invested in it is worth it or not. The thing I said Evolution was not the palettes or the recolors sir, It was the big step to create such things that would take so much effort, taking the step needs a lot of work and the would be the one I said evolution coz if we can push throught that challenge.. the is one big step for FRO.
Sensation Posted April 3, 2014 Report Posted April 3, 2014 If this would be pulled off, this would be a big change. But which item will be next then? Valk helmets in 550 colours? Emperium Auras? Laughing Poo Poo Hats? The demand for palette matching will never stop. Each of those would take months of time (and/or a lot of money to pay someone for it) which could and should be spent on improving the gaming experience that Forsaken RO is. You even said it yourself that you don't have the skills or knowledge, but if you truly want this to happen, spend some time on learning how to do it. See how long it takes to get 1 recolour to work and then reply.
Norse_Joog Posted April 4, 2014 Author Report Posted April 4, 2014 (edited) Of course, in the future everyone wants to see some changes, that's why you got a suggestion section here in forums But I'm not the one saying the next one sir, I'm just suggesting Edited April 4, 2014 by Norse_Joog
Genesis Posted April 15, 2014 Report Posted April 15, 2014 This just wouldn't be viable. Not only do we have to create a ton of new sprites, we would also have to make a NPC to handle and exchange them. Just thinking of all the cond statements makes my head spin.
