Tayels Posted November 8, 2013 Report Posted November 8, 2013 I suggest disabling chat rooms around the main circle in f-city....it's just really cluttered and having that space chatbox free might promote more player interation...
jameslamela Posted November 8, 2013 Report Posted November 8, 2013 -1... the best marketing place to sell your stuffs are at the center of the city so that many people could see what you are selling. the more people saw your pub. the higher the chance that you can sell them faster and wont spend more time on selling it. the market might be affected. however you have also a good point on suggesting coz people are spawned at the center so if there are less people at the center of the city it will coz you less lag.

Reasons: Non PK area - everybody can roam around safely. Lag free? - well this is just a theory, training grounds has no NPCs/Buildings(except the castle from a far) so it will lessen the loading time especially when a lot of players are in there... Size - big enough to accommodate vendors. Pori Pori Invasion free - pori pori invasion occurs on random towns... I've seen it happen on @go 0(Prontera) and all the vendors are wiped out in seconds. Quite annoying to leave your character alive and kickin' then return to it as a corpse... 1 wrong click and you will respawn and redo your vending... I think the main reason why GMs keep on rejecting this is that they're worried that fcity will be empty like the other towns and players will seldom go there, but who knows..maybe clearing out the fcity is good... just don't remove the BC and Helpdesk on fcity... Also, since I'm only new to this server I thought that Prontera was currently being used as the marketplace? xD

Other solution would be like To add marketplace in item data base. Where we can enter item name/ I'd and it will Pull out a list of all sellers and their locations/ prices Its basically @whosell command in game and via game data base on site. I've seen this in action and it works really well. Also main city areas should just be made into non chatbox, non vendor zone Just have a mall on the. Main city or dedicated area where vendoring is allowed. that will make them less cluttered with afk chat boxes. Also just create a trade channel in chat that's global. Used for trade where u can only post once every min or so. Yes this may be abused for other stuff, to counter this what was done is Players can take screen shots of the chat and submit. If there are 3or more wrong usage channel then that player gets a days ban or so .. This really worked where I played before
