iRawr
Hello Forsaken RO, I was just wondering if you could implement another way too donate. OneBip is an easy way to use your mobile phone credit to donate/pay for things on the internet. I have used this service myself on some other servers and it has worked perfectly. Now I've always liked Forsaken RO more than other servers but have never been able too donate. Which means making money was extremely tedious for me. With this method I could donate quite alot and I'm sure alot of other people would love to use this donating method as well. So yeah hope you consider it. http://www.onebip.com/consumer/au/ OneBip SMS Donating. Support Countries: 1. Argentina AR 2. Lithuania LT 3. Australia AU 4. Luxemburg LU 5. Austria AT 6. plotus2
Good idea. It helps some players (especially under working age) whom parents do not allow them to use their (the parents') credit cards. Mobile phone is like a must have in every sort of country. Hence donating by SMSing is easy and makes life easier. I 100% agree.

iRawr
http://forum.forsaken-ro.net/index.php?sho...016&hl=text The reason that was closed was because of the High Monthly Fee's for the other providers that were out at the time for this service. If you had a look at the site you would see this : http://www.onebip.com/merchant/ Main benefits: * Attract new customers * No setup costs and no monhtly fees * Easy and immidate integration * High coverage * Built-in compliance with industry regulators * Direct support for your customers * Real time statistics * Single payment for all countries But thanks for the lovely link? Kittie
There's still Western Union and sending cash through the mail as alternatives to using PayPal, neither of which require using a credit card.
plotus2
There's still Western Union and sending cash through the mail as alternatives to using PayPal, neither of which require using a credit card. Disadvantages via mails for those who live outside Europe and America: - High mail service cost. - If I'm not mistaken, ForsakenRO only accepts US currencies only, right? If it's not, then I apologize. But if it's true, we have to adjust the value for inflation when we convert our currency into US's. This adds to the previous point - cost. Yeah because sending money through the mail is so easy when you live in Australia. SMS donating brings forward another easy way to donate with no apparent negatives. I don't see why a server wouldn't support it ;).
Xtopher
I agree there should be more ways to donate. I wish paypal was working here (they'd be a few bucks richer, at least from me) Sending $$ from outside the states sucks... even in the states you have to get a money order (theres no way i'm putting cash in an envelope and mailing it), and WU charges a fee I'm not willing to pay. The only disadvantage to SMS I'm thinking about is... what about the parents who get the phonebill and are like "YOU BOUGHT WHAT?!?!" They may attempt some kind of refund/punishment of our users which could be a hassle... but this is implying they did it without permission... which kids tend to do... Genesis
We prefer money in USD, but if this is not a possibility for you then don't sweat it we can exchange it.

I think onebip.com changes the currency too whatever the bussiness your donating too wants.

veg
love the ideas.. but how about FRO teams make a donation card.. like top up card of our prepaids.. enter the number on the website [for checking].. aka donation page and to get the security number. when the number is confirm and valid.. send an email or pm to the donation stuff with the security number and the pin number on the card... sort of like that.. maybe.. just maybe.. minmum donation card value can be $10 usd.. and given out to the choosen resller..
