I'm new here so I'm going to ask this. Will the 3rd jobs be available in a future update? Why is there a download for 3rd jobs?

Job Change Guide Job Mistress located in fcity 79 134 Baby Job Changer located in fcity 100 133 "What job should we choose?" Novice The Novice is the starting point for all characters in Ragnarok Online. When you create a new character, you may choose from different Hairstyles and Hair colors. Novices do not incur any EXP penalty upon death, and regain 50% HP when respawning. You may also choose which starting Stats to have. Once your job level is 10, you can now change your job Super Novice A Super Novice is a special kind of class which exploits nearly every first class skill. Super Novices also sport highly effective armor and shields which reduce elemental attacks. Swordsman Branch Swordsman Swordmen are honest and as stubborn as the strong waves of the ocean. With strong physical attacks, defense, and a sense of command, a Swordman can become a headstrong leader to others. Swordmen continuously train to gain more skill and strength. Knight The Knight class is the primary second job for the Swordman class. Being a hack and slash type of character, Knights are granted access to a new mastery that will open a new type of weapon to wield aside from the Swordman's swords. They are also allowed to acquire powerful AoE skills like the famed Bowling Bash and the spearexclusive skill, Brandish Spear. Lord Knight Lord Knights are the Transcendent variants of Knights. The Lord Knight's skills are a good balance of offense and defense. The Lord Knight is now a master of weapons with a special affinity for Two-handed Swords and Spears. A Lord Knight has formidable attack strength and can crush an opponent's defense with ease. Being a Lord Knight, they gain vastly improved offensive capabilities and some defensive capabilities. They easily retain their status as the class with the highest HP Modifier and strongest physical AoE damage dealer. Crusader Crusaders are a fine blend of physical strength and faith-driven magic prowess, making them a versatile class. They are capable of melee combat with a spear or a sword and shield, of playing a supportive role in parties with beneficial magic skills, and of sacrificing their health to wield powerful holy magic. Knowing this, they can be built more like a mage than a warrior, or a classic favorite is to play the crusader like a tank. What makes this class so popular is the versatility, it's natural aim towards fighting the undead, and its centralization around having high VIT and defense. Paladin Paladins are the Transcendent variant of the Crusader class. Aside from the HP/SP boost, the Paladin's defensive capabilities have not seen significant changes. They do receive many new offensive abilities which inspiring many INT-built Crusaders to become battle-built Paladins. For those Paladins who wish to continue as an INT-type build, the Battle Chant skill allows them to play a supportive role in large party settings, and the 20 additional skills points allow them to learn a much wider variety of skills. Mage Branch Mage Mages rely on their skills as their main source of damage, and such attacks are magically based and only take into account the target's Magical Defense, and not theirPhysical Defense. Furthermore, all of a Mage's spells are elemental, thus meaning the accurate use of the correct spell against the correct monsters is highly important. Wizard Wizards are powerful offensive magic users. They rely on dangerous magic strikes as well as devastating Area of Effect spells to wreak havoc. High Wizard The Mage and the Wizard have been able to tap into mystical and elemental magic but the real power is now fully realized in the spells mastered by the High Wizard. Only a fool would dare challenge the awesome might of a High Wizard's power head on! A High Wizard has much more power than a regular Wizard, and at a much earlier level as well. Unlike the Wizard, it hasMystical Amplification, which will give 50% more MATK on the next offensive magic skill to be cast. Sage Sages are a PvP-oriented class with the role of caster/anti-Mage. They do not have the offensive abilities of a Wizard, but are a slightly buffed version of Mage with theirFree Casting. Sages shine in their defensive abilities, with many builds centered around Magnetic Earth. Dispell is also a popular and sought-after spell which is useful for removing buffs from the enemy. Many of their skills can only realistically be used in PvP, making PvM quite difficult, particularly for VIT/DEX builds that have difficulty solo levelling. Battle sages are a 'for fun' build which can become a powerful leveling build only if matched with a Soul Linker Professor Professors are the transcendent version of Sages. Through rebirth, Professors gain class-defining SP manipulative skills such as Soul Exhale, Indulge, and Soul Siphon. The two former skills enable Professors to act as endless sources of SP, which makes them a favorable class for party play. The third SP-manipulating skill, Soul Siphon, allows Professors to offensively eliminate all of their opponent's SP, making Professors a formidable class for PvP and WoE. Archer Branch Archer Archers are experts at long-range combat with Bows and Arrows. Their range gives them several advantages, which includes: The ability to change the element of their weapon quickly by changing their arrow type. This makes Archers able to exploit elemental advantages easily. Accuracy and damage is increased by the same stat (DEX), allowing all attacks to connect and deal a lot of damage. Range enables archers to defeat stationary or slow-moving opponents that are stronger than they are without being hit. Hunter Hunters are skillful at indirect combat. Their increased ASPD with bows helps makes them superior to Archers in ranged combat. They are also able to lay mines and traps on the ground to hinder or catch mobs. These traps will cause various status effects (Sandman inflicts the status sleep, for example) or cause elemental damage (i.e. Blast Mine, Land Mine) to a target. Sniper One shot, one kill! There is no better way to describe the Sniper. They specialize in precise and powerful ranged attacks. The Sniper is the master of the Bow. In a Sniper’s hands, the bow is a deadly instrument capable of dealing massive damage and carnage. They gained a new skill called Falcon Assault with the help of his lifelong friend, the falcon. When friendship strengthens, so does their power. They also have skills that amplify their bow mastery, as well as piercing arrow skills. Bard The voice of a Bard is laden with magical harmonies, singing hymns that invoke the ancient Gods of Asgard to instill fear in the hearts of his enemies and inspire his comrades to victory with songs of eternal youth and glorious charges. Where their female counterparts, the Dancers, are more bent on disruption, Bards specialize in support, which make them central in all defensive strategies during the War of Emperium. Clown Taught new songs by the gods themselves, Minstrels are now a powerful class. They are able to enchant the enemy with different music and deal large amounts of damage with Arrow Vulcan skill. Minstrel can also give half their stats to a supported character enabling the supported fighter to increase their damage. This job is known as Clown in other localizations Dancer It is said that time slows down when a Dancer starts to move her hips to the sound of some mysterious tune; that those watching may lose control of their bodies and find their magic reserves either greatly improved or gone altogether. Where their male counterparts, the Bards, are more bent on support, Dancers specialize at disruptive maneuvers, which make them an invaluable asset in the War of Emperium. Gypsy Everybody loves the Gypsy's dancing, especially her enemies. It's the last thing they see before they go to their graves with a smile on their lips and an arrow through their hearts. The Gypsy is so alluring that hundreds of acts of heroism (and foolishness) have been performed in her name. With more lithe and agile bodies granted by the gods, Gypsies are hard to resist especially when one begins her dance. Not a single drop of sweat can be seen. Every dance and movement seemingly effortless. Graceful dance is her specialty, dancing gracefully to lure the monster to its death with the newly acquired Arrow Vulcan and Tarot Card of Fate skills. Merchant Branch Merchant Always on the lookout for profit, Merchants are the economic experts of Ragnarok Online. Setting out to make a fortune, playing as a Merchant will allow the player to get the most out of every last zeny. Merchants are also handy with items, being able to carry far more than other classes thanks to their Enlarge Weight Limit and Pushcart abilities. Although a Merchant is bound to feel more at home at the marketplaces and auction houses of Rune-Midgard, they can still hold their own in battle, specially when it comes to defending their wares. Inherently sturdy, Merchants are able to equip most of the game's heavy armor and melee weapons, allowing good defense and decent attack. Blacksmith Easily the most powerful of all the 2nd classes, the Blacksmiths sport damage equal to that of the trans 2nd classes(except their own trans class of course). Their only weakness lies in the fact that they only have 1 multitarget AoE spell (Cart Revolution) that has knockback and limited range, making it hard to target with. As a single target killer though, it is no doubt that this class shines bright as the leading killer. Whitesmith The Mastersmith skill base grows upon the Blacksmith's Axe/Mace skills and received a lot of nice new skills. Although the class almost seems to be ignored by Gravity, or almost lowered in power compared to the other Reborn classes, Smiths still pose a dangerous threat to almost every class. They have the power to break Weapons and Armor while they're attacking their enemy with Shattering Strike (Meltdown) and then unleash a flurry of High Speed Cart Rams (Cart Termination). This class takes a lot of customization in order to make work properly and takes a lot of time and effort to play one well. Alchemist The Alchemist is a class which optimizes Potion Creation and Homunculus, as well as various other potion-related skills. They are a class which work for the benefit of their friends and strike terror into the hearts of their foes (armor). Biochemist Biochemists are a much stronger class than the Alchemists, provided there are sufficient funds and SP for the new skill Acid Demonstration. While Alchemists were more of a melee class, Biochemists have the option to level with a skill other than Cart Revolution and Mammonite. Many invest a great amount of their stat points into INT instead of AGI, and level with Acid Bomb or magic attacks from weapons and Homunculi instead. Thief Branch Thief Waiting in the shadows, planning where they'll strike next, the mischievous Thieves are a force to reckon with. Swift and powerful, few can keep up with a Thief's attack speed and power, whether they're slashing their way in battle with a sharp dagger, or striking from afar with a bow. Striking them down isn't easy either, coupling their high flee with the ability to become invisible and poison their pursuers, Thieves have only magic to fear. Assassin Assassins (and their transcended Assassin Cross) are able to equip a weapon in each hand and the exclusive users of Katar weapons. Assassins have a variety of damage dealing and poisoning skills. The Assassin are the only class who can walk slightly faster than any other class ingame as long as they leveled the proper skill (Thief's Improve Dodge). The Katar wielding Assassins also receive double the normal amount of critical hit rate. Therefore, whatever amount of critical rate Assassins have, it would always be doubled. Assassin Cross An elite group of Assassins. The Assassin Cross utilizes stealth and confusion in order to land the perfect killing blow. The Assassin Cross has a huge repertoire of lethal arts including ultimate mastery of poison-use, better than the original Assassin. With these new skills, the Assassin Cross now has a wide choice of brutal methods to overcome opponents. All without ever leaving the shadows... Rouge Rogues are a versatile class, only really lacking in PvM skills but excelling in PvP and WoE. With their strip skills, Rogues can render most classes useless in a PvP environment. With Gank, a Rogue can obtain double the loot another class could gather in the same amount of time. Rogues can wield bows, daggers, or swords and can copy a variety of player skills to help them level, although a Rogue cannot use Intimidate to its full potential like its transcendent counterpart can. On a different note, Rogues can be excellent at soloing things in a PvM environment. Their high dodge, fast attacks, and stealthy nature make them a force to be reckoned with in a dungeon. Stalker A Stalker is the Transcendent variant of Rogues. Most melee classes try to avoid them like the plague in fear of getting fully divested and then clobbered by one of their many copied skills during WoE. Stalkers are geared more towards PvP and WoE, however most builds can do PvM just as well. Their main forte is the now improved intimidating capability. They can opt to keep any skill gained via Intimidate by simply casting Preserve. Most prefer to intimidateBowling Bash, it works well with most of their builds. One of their other favored skills is Storm Gust being cast at its lowest level, which -usually executed after Divest Armor or Full Divestment- will render most targets immobile in PvP environment. Acolyte Branch Acolyte Acolytes live their lives serving the Catholic Church and following the religious teachings. They train to become selfless and devoted individuals, aiming to help all that they meet. The religious teachings forbid Acolytes and other members of the Church from using bladed weapons. Instead, they typically carry staves and rods for casting skills that support their allies and harm their foes and maces for physical damage. Priest Once Acolytes have undergone rigorous spiritual training and have served the Church and the community as a whole, they have the opportunity to be promoted within the ranks of the Church. If the Monk is said to train their body to fight evil and the Undead physically, the Priest does so with magic. As their spiritual journey brings them closer to God, they gain advanced skills in healing as well as new ways to assist their allies and harm their foes. They are able to resurrect fallen comrades, protect them from harm, and bless their weapons. They can create spaces of safe haven where the Undead cannot penetrate and can decimate hordes of Undead with ease. High Priest The High Priest is the Transcendent variant of Priest. The High Priest is the epitome of spiritual calm. A bulwark in the storm of chaos, he is more than capable of protecting his comrades when faced with even the most ferocious enemy. Despite the many skills taught to them by the Priests of Prontera Church, they still need to learn a few more from the Gods themselves. Now able to create areas where no violence may occur, they are able to Heal more, Bless more and Serve even more. Their skills are truly gifts from God. Monk Monks are a versatile class that can deal damage in several ways unique to themselves. They are most known for the powerful Guillotine Fist skill, which has uses inMVP, PVP and WoE scenarios. Most builds are damage-dealers, focusing on maximizing damage via skills such as Occult Impaction and their Combo abilities. Specialized Monk builds can be very efficient for both MVP and WoE purposes. Champion A Champion is the Transcendent variant of Monk. Known for the one-hit skill, Asura Strike. Champions are even deadlier in close range combat due to their boosted SP count and STR. Champions get mostly new combo-skills as their transcendental skills. Combo skills are mostly used for PvM but still can wreck havoc in PvP if executed properly. Gunslinger Gunslingers are flashy and confident New Age warriors that rely on a wide array of guns and powerful skills to deal as much damage as possible in a short amount of time to their enemies. Gunslingers are always looking for a chance to show off their talent. Ninja The ninja class is fun and offers three types of roles to play: a magic ninja, a throwing ninja (now nerfed to be the weakest of the builds), and the melee ninja. Ninjas excel in the art of evasion with skills like Cicada Skin Shed and Mirror Image which prevent almost all non-magical damage from harming them. Their magic tree offers several fun spells that are unlike that of any other class (although nowhere near as powerful as the wizard class's spells). Taekwon Branch Taekwon TaeKwon Kids are practitioners of the art of TaeKwon-Do. They fore go the use of weapons and instead specialize in a variety of kicks. Their equipment is limited to equips that are usable by all jobs except novices. Star Gladiator TaeKwon Master is a class for characters who have chosen TaeKwon Kid as their first profession and wish to continue in the ways of the TaeKwon. One of the most notable benefits that a TaeKwon Master has over a TaeKwon Kid is the ability to wield books to help deal more damage physically. TaeKwon Master is an unusual class in that the majority of their skills are bound to the celestial bodies of the Sun (Solar), Moon (Lunar) and Stars (Stellar), and are very restricted in their use.
