Hi! Other people have experienced these issues and following these steps have fixed them:
- Go to your RO folder
- Open the setup application by double clicking it.
- At the top bar select your graphic card
- Select the resolution that you want (Always pick one lower or equal to your current resolution, not higher).
- Press OK.
- Right click your setup application and click run as administrator.
- Select the resolution that you want (Always pick one lower or equal to your current resolution, not higher).
- Press OK.
- Start the game by double clicking FkenRO.exe
- Your client should now work.
Optional: On windows 8 make sure you disable full screen mode at the setup as full screen mode does not cooperate with windows 8 very well.

Hi guys, I'm so sorry for the delay in responding to this. I'm going to compile a list of what everyone's suggested here and then send it to our spriter. We may not be able to do everything, or it may have to be released in phases a bit. Hopefully you'll be seeing them in an update soon! :)

Hi! Please try un-equipping your Freebie Adventurer Backpack and see if that effects your casting speed. If I remember correctly, we had made it so it reduces casting speed when equipped at max level, since the item was meant only to help new players leveling and not actually be used in PVP. We didn't want to put a level restriction on it since many people wear it for fashion when hanging out. :)
If that is the issue, there should be a warning on the item, which I do believe there used to be but some of our item descriptions got messed up awhile ago. I'll have Genesis confirm this when he's online and correct the description.

You missing AI folder. try to download small patch and add AI folder to you RO. Or add all the ForsakenRO Small Patcher to the folder to present future errors.

Yeah, maybe it'd be good to have ingame assistance. As for the times I have logged on, I see online GMs but they're AFK xD.
It can be hit or miss with online GMs because of time zones and since it's the holidays now... if you have a question, you can always feel free to PM us on the forums, post in the support section, or email [email protected] and we'll be able to get back to you as soon as we can. :)

I do agree. And actually, to be honest, I do see here a great community and caring staff, that's why I suggested, coz in the midst of my optimism, I thought there was a way of just, JUST modifying the GUI. Which is basically the only thing I thought of when I suggested what I suggested. Now, I do understand that there'd be lots of bugs as an aftermath of switching. Now you guys can decide what's best for the server, but I do think that sooner or later you guys may have to switch for whatever reason, even you would have to switch from eAthena to Thor or w/e for w/e reason. Still, as an experienced player I'm here to help with whatever you guys think I can.

Like you said, someday we may need to, and we'll need our players' support to do it successfully. :) I completely understand where you're coming from, and why you suggested it. There's definitely some really nifty features in the Renewal interface I'd love for us to have! I just wanted to explain our reasoning for not implementing it right now, hopefully everyone will be able to understand why now. :)
Thanks again for your suggestion and looking for ways to make fRO better! I'd love to hear more of your thoughts on ways we can improve the server, especially our experience for new players.

What map did you error on? I'd recommend resetting your position through the control panel as Aerofox said:
Login into your control panel (forsaken-ro.net/cp) > My Account > Select the character that is stuck > Reset Position.
If you continue to error, make sure to patch, or try downloading our All in One installer which will fix errors caused by newer maps and NPCs.

Hi David, thank you for your suggestion. I personally do like a lot of the changes in the Renewal interface, and I can see the benefit of a lot of them. This is something I wanted to do in the past and so looked into it along with Genesis. That being said, what many people have already said about the difficulties of switching over is correct. Because we're one of the private servers that have been open the longest, we have thousands of custom items, mobs, maps, quests, etc. Years and years worth. Now, in order to get the interface, we need to switch to the Renewal client. We could of course disable third jobs, which wouldn't be an issue. The issue isn't even transferring over the custom items - Genesis and I would have no problem taking the time to do that, and believe me it would be time consuming to do!
The issue is what happens afterwards. It's inevitable there are going to be lots and lots of bugs, many of which could be game breaking. Yes, we can fix them, but it would take considerable time and our players wouldn't be able to enjoy playing our server during that time. It would create a lot of instability, which wouldn't be good for the server. There was another RO server around the same age as ours that tried to switch over to the Renewal client, and all of the bugs and issues caused them to lose almost all of their players and they never recovered from it.
We love ForsakenRO way too much to let that happen. So, instead we work with what we have and make it as innovative and fun as possible in different ways. I know a lot of people prefer the Renewal interface and its features, but ultimately I'd rather play on a server that has interesting quests, high quality custom items, caring staff, and a great community. I think all of those things are ultimately more important, and I hope you agree. :)

The Order of the Dragon descends on fRO
From the darkness the dragon awakens...
The Order of the Dragon is completely revamped and better than ever before.

Join a Dragonist Sect
Once you've risen in the ranks of the Dragonists, you can now join an elite sect of warriors for your class.
Joining a sect will allow you the opportunity to unlock new gameplay and rewards.
Will you be strong enough to take the blood oath?
To join a sect, talk to the leader of your sect at the Dragon Temple.
The Battle of Blackwitch
As a sect member, you are welcomed to new heights and meet Sigismund, the Order's founder.
He has a mission for you: to find the lost Dragonists who have disappeared on the legendary Lost Cost.
Only something much more sinister awaits you there...
Save your Dragonist brothers and face the monstrous Blackwitch Bijou and her undead army in this
challenging new Dragonist storyline arc!
Talk to the founder Sigismund in the Dragon Temple to begin once you've joined a sect.
NEW! Bijou MVP Card
Introducing the latest must-have card since Thanatos Card.
The Blackwitch Bijou in the raid has a 1% chance of dropping her card.
Unlock new powerful armors
Introducing the most powerful armor to come to ForsakenRO: the Infamous Dragonist Armor!
It also has a non-donation counterpart, the Legendary Dragonist Armor.
Both armors are obtained from completing the Blackwitch storyline saga.
Each armor is class-specific and has customized effects to bring out the strengths of each class.
Plus, there is a rare effect for those who have Dragon's Fury enabled!

Same as above, but +7 instead of +10. If Dragon's Fury is enabled, allows use of Warm Wind level 1-2.
Blackwitch Fields
The legendary Lost Coast exists-only it has been overrun by the Blackwitch's minions.
You'll need to reclaim the fields from her undead army who have looted the
nearby Dragonist Stronghold as part of your battle against the Blackwitch.
It's rumored one of her prized warriors, Amadeus, has been seen in these fields.

Gain new rewards
As part of the revamp, two important new currencies are being introduced to Dragonists.
These include the Dragon Egg, obtained from Dragonist raids and Blackwitch MVP drops,
and the Dragonist Coin, obtained from regular mobs in the Blackwitch fields or converting your Fame Points.
Dragon Eggs and Dragonist Coins are part of the Blackwitch storyline saga.
Dragonist Coins will be the primary currency for upcoming shops in the Dragon Temple.
