Server wide lag. Something needs to change.

So i dunno if gms are just immune to this epic server lags or if its just a selected few. But seriously is there nothing that can be done? Are we forever gonna play with lag spikes all the time? And its getting worse and worse. Raiders always BCing for rewarp. Which wont be necesary if the server isnt super unstable. And oh no gms responding to any of the BCs. What happened to the tons of new gms? 

 

Can this be resolved? Or atleast have gms in game all the time who can provide support when needed. Because rewarp seems to be a big thing now. If its player fault i get it rewarp is not needed. But its the server whos i causing the need for rewarp. Either fix the server lag problems. Or atleast have a gm on all the time who can provide the rewarp when needed. And trust me, its needed.

It's been very laggy lately, alot of friends from different places of the globe has experienced this lag in the recent days. No idea of what's going on, I haven't experienced this lag ever in the game before.

Ok, First things first: Lag depends mainly of your location in relation to server's location (in this case, server is hosted in Boston, US) the more far you are from server location its more common to get lag spikes.

Second: Raiders who "DC" don't really do, most of time, they die and ask for recall due to DC (because we dont recall players if they die ;) ), it's really suspicius that most players request recall on Blackwitch (hardest raid), GoH (average) and nobody/few ones on Aegirs raids (easiest ones) don't you think?, Also, as a raider, sometimes I have witnessed when my teammates die "DC" and ask for recall.

Third: GMs don't need to reply to Broadcasts if they are not on their GM account (we have a @request system for that). it's their right to have some free time and play on their player accounts if they wish to do so

Lastly: Recalling someone to raids is a courtesy,  not a right. What is needed is a policy to prevent abuse of recall request

Quite honestly, it is laggy. It started during 2.0 and occurred more often on sunday WOE. AFAIK, 2 guilds complained about the spike and we have no idea whats up. Its been a while since I experienced such a problem

Being myself from mexico, haven't experienced lag spikes lately, the only problem I face is the 2 am connection close (due to backup of databases) but besides that, I dont have problems when playing

 

Perhaps some other players can share experience on where they are from and if they experience problems...

I live in california, 175mbps internet speed. I dowbload movies within minutes. My ping is 47-50. 55max peak during woe. So i have no problems with internet speed or connection. But really it aint just individuals who suffers the lag. And i dunno about other raiders but my crew suffers shit tons of lags in aegirs. Hosts dcing, and yes people dying because of spike lags. Thats why people are cqlling for the rewarps. I get it. Its not gms jobs. But get the host issue fixed and the rewarps wont be needed. Go to the field. Watch how many people complains of spike lags and delays in unison whenever it happens.

Lag isn't something you can avoid entirely when playing online happens all the time in all kinds of games or servers. Complaining about isn't new either its just there and cannot be stopped.

Entirely a different case if a few complain but 2 entire guilds complained about this. I know coz I hear them complaining about it on chat. Started experiencing this on 4/15 2.0 WOE if im not mistaken

It hasnt been this bad since the server had a DDOS attack

Edit:

Prior to the issue, connection to the server during WOE is fine unlike the past few weeks where we get disconnected at times

Really isn't a provider in the market that provides what we get, with the support we get, for the price. Which is why all our competitors are also with the same provider. If you are in PH, like the majority of the people complaining here are, there isn't much we can as it isn't an issue on our end. I personally don't face any issues. We will try to come up with a way to warps to be automated for raids in the future and see if there is a better routing option to fix disconnects for players in PH.
