exe_calibur Posted March 19, 2014 Report Posted March 19, 2014 Have you already read Collin's guide? http://www.forsaken-ro.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=25337 Quote
jameslamela Posted March 19, 2014 Report Posted March 19, 2014 hmmm... battle prof is not purely a bolter. in this server battle prof dont exist coz GMs give them the ability to use stave crusher incase of gtb or maya shield.. but in other lowrate server, i can see those battle priest doing great. perhaps you would be the 1st to make 1. if ever you do. Vinor Posted March 19, 2014 Author Report Posted March 19, 2014 yea i read collin's guide but was looking for a little different than that. i may have to mess around to see what i can do here with a pure battle prof then Quote
Rayray Posted March 19, 2014 Report Posted March 19, 2014 I did battle prof before. We are kinda disadvantaged at the moment, because there is no valkyrie book(donation weapon) for profs. At the moment, you will rely on strip and coma as a battle prof unless you can get 2x forsaken elite prof book(which is an old quest item and cannot be done anymore, so you have to buy it from people) and have thana. Even so, book of the dead will play a major role there. What you do on it is you do not go for damage, you go for defense. Energy coat is there, get yourself a decent hp. kyrie shoes will help. strip armor cards + autocast frost diver can be a staple. you have skills that give you an element for 30 minutes. a thana hitting battle prof that does 5-10k autoattacks + 3k-6k autocast bolts is hard to ignore. soul link for more damage Sadly, it is expensive to make one. Cheaper items, you will rely on strip and coma of the book of dead(seriously). Quote
Forum~ Posted March 19, 2014 Report Posted March 19, 2014 (edited) Battle professor is useless in our metagame. I suggest you play something else unless this is just for fun. Edit: Well, the build itself is inherently for fun so that was redundant. I recommend you try battle priest instead. But if you insist on battle professor, all I can say is get link. exe_calibur Posted March 19, 2014 Report Posted March 19, 2014 (edited) yea i read collin's guide but was looking for a little different than that. i may have to mess around to see what i can do here with a pure battle prof then Most battle profs I see at fild, either just stand there and hope they can fight someone w/o GTB or go stave crash. I have not seen much people die by prof. bolts or bolts in general unless its from a baby class or Biochem. I used to play prof myself, but as I got more into PvP or just "pk-type" games in general I realized my offensive capabilities were being diminished. I eventually ended up just using prof. to make scrolls for fellow guild mates but then ended up quitting the job all together to focus on Biochem. Side note: If you plan to play prof. for fun then by all means go experiment with the job. I tried to play sniper for a month or so and got bored of FAS. So for fun I would have a dagger with double attack (hopping filir) Ifrit rings, and take advantage of Arrow Repel (gear switch) and Anklesnare. With a sinx card, I would go to fild, not to kill but to make the job a bit more refreshing to me and everyone there. :) Edited March 19, 2014 by exe_calibur Quote
sartorius19 Posted May 1, 2014 Report Posted May 1, 2014 Theres a lot on battle prof. But as ray and others said. It is really not applicable on our server. All i can say is that a battle prof is not necessary that much. Cause u can stave. And Autobolt is all that in being a battle prof +Strip and coma atm as ray said. You can try to play along a lot of things. If u do. share it to us. so we might help in refining ur experiments. ^^, Quote
Rayray Posted May 2, 2014 Report Posted May 2, 2014 It is expensive. It probably is the only class I used that needs 2- 3 sets of accessories(one for the strip, one for the bolts, the last for the defensive ones) + ifrit rings. Thana is almost always needed or you will be doing 2-3k attacks(getting to 6k when they go gtb). And even with all the expensive stuff in, you will still deal less damage than a pure bolter prof. The only good thing is that you will outlast a battle more than a pure bolter prof if played right. It is pretty much a defensive build. Quote
sartorius19 Posted May 7, 2014 Report Posted May 7, 2014 (edited) hmm. but if players put on 2x skolls. even with thana. u will do damage below 1k or so. so i prefer having extra incan combo set of cards on another weap. but i think it will just deal a bit more than normal. but at least u wont hit like 500-1k if they put on skolls.especially if 2x Edited May 7, 2014 by sartorius19 Quote
