xSeraphina Posted January 30, 2014 Report Posted January 30, 2014 (edited) If GTB completely nullifies all magic, why shouldn't it nullify any magic being reflected back at you? This seems to only be a problem for bolter's and any other classes with single target magic with the exception of super novices given they're ridiculous amount of HP. Besides, if I'm wearing GTB I'm still vulnerable to increased physical damage and it would just help out 1v1 situations.. I don't see why this would be a problem given there's so many other ways to kill a proff and maya can still catch us off guard. Feel free to give input. Please don't be offended by this suggestion. :/ Edited January 30, 2014 by xSeraphina
mikeredh24 Posted January 30, 2014 Report Posted January 30, 2014 Totally agree to this.. :) even tho am not a fan of mages..
nilo16 Posted January 30, 2014 Report Posted January 30, 2014 Cause reflect damage is not calculated as physical or magic damage.its like a true damage I think it is also u affected by resistance of any kind. the game is designed like that i don't think it can be changed at all its also the reason u can't reflect back the original reflect damage .
Rayray Posted January 30, 2014 Report Posted January 30, 2014 Well, I will be the one to explain it well. GTB card effect is this: "Nullify all magic spells, including supportive skills, that target the owner at the cost of doubling SP Consumption cost when using skills." Read the part I put it in bold text. As you see, only those that target the owner are nullified. If the bolt is reflected on you, that magic isn't targeted against you, as you targeted another player, it just so happens to be reflected. Therefore, I see no need to change GTB to protect against reflected magic as well. 1
jameslamela Posted January 30, 2014 Report Posted January 30, 2014 if we make the gtb able to nullify magic reflects, magic ninja will be OP in this server...
nilo16 Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Also it will cause 2users with Maya to have bolts being reflected back and forth cause of how the game script works.
heha Posted February 1, 2014 Report Posted February 1, 2014 seph the only way is using a lower damage bolt to find out if they are using maya. then you can switch to stave or HD. I think it's impossible for GM to implement this. It's ok to die by maya. you will kill them eventually when they forget to use it. It's not possible to always win in a fight.
Royals™ Posted February 1, 2014 Report Posted February 1, 2014 reflect doesn't seem to be bad for other profs i saw they switch to other skills or equips to pawn people >.> ... profs are like if u only know how to bolt you're dead u need to change strategies on different situations.. :V
