Non-Ladder Pvp Room

Sup peeps I was discussing the PVP room with Sno0py and we agreed that it would be beneficial to have one or more non-ladder PVP rooms.

I think the main reason for people not going into the PVP room is to not get in the way of serious PVPers or get randomed by people farming for ladder-kills.

With a non-ladder PVP room people could just chill in the room without getting disturbed by pesky mobs or low lvl chars blocking your target or revealing you by using sight/ruwach.

Tell me what you think. :3

I would agree with this because it would also fix the whole warping thing.

Along with fixing buff noobs & low level cheaters.

Personally I don't really think this would work...

Why? because the server already have the PK system and if you don't want other players to butt in your PVP with your friends, we got DUEL or you can just go to some map where you can do your PVP thing, so having another room for you just to chill out doesn't really make any sense as we already have the room for it.

If you don't want any MOB to hit you, you can just go to town or warp to a with non aggressive mobs, if you don't want other "low level" player to block your way, same thing, move to somewhere else, because it will be just the same as what we have in for_fild.

We used to have fun in pvp room without even thinking of the ladder system(even if the ladder is in there forever, we used to just don't care on it). This would work, but not a final fix for the warpers and other stuff we encounter in for_fild.

Actually, I would have preferred if we put back the "able to kill low lvl characters" thing. It would take around an hour to go to max level most of the time, and almost none of the geared people hunt newbies in the levelling spots(for_fild06). Just remove that limit so people can't abuse it, and just put the no PK rule on levelling spots.

The main reason people do not go to the pvp room now is because of the lack of PvP rewards. We have to admit, the pvp rewards just ain't worth it due to the emergence of Rings and Capes. It is just not worth to get busy for a week of pvping, using supplies and everything and get a measly Sacred Wing, when you can just vote for an item with the exact effect. If we have PvP rewards that are really good, people will go in that room, ladder or not.

There is really nothing stopping you from going in the PvP room now if you want to avoid warpers and mobs. If you don't care about laddering, then the prizes wouldn't really be relevant anyway. (The PvP ladder prizes is a whole separate discussion that doesn't belong here.)

I just don't understand why we should add a new non-ladder room if we want to encourage/prefer people to use the PvP room anyway. If not as many people seriously ladder anymore, then you wouldn't really be getting in the way - and that never stopped anyone from going into the PvP room before either. It doesn't really make sense to me either about the prizes stopping people from going in there if people just want to casually hang out in the first place. I don't know if it's just psychological, if it's the map/look of the PvP room or what, but I am curious to know.

I personally think in this suggestion it would be non beneficial to players... theres already ladder pvp room that players can't warp and can't get so many buffs except the fcp which is now allowed in the pvp room... so -1 ....

for_fild01 is the unofficial equivalent for this. I wouldn't want to segment the pvp population.
