iCake Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 I know this has been suggested several times and it didn't get any positive response, but then i still want to revive this suggestion. I'm suggesting to unlock "Es" skills namely Estun, Esma, and Eswoo. Yes, only those three skills i've mentioned and i'd like to add few modifications on them. • Estun - Remove the 2-sec stun on the affected player. • Esma - Reduce damage done when cast to demihumans. • Eswoo - Remove the walking speed reduction when used on a player. (Clearly for fun only) So there, I don't think unlocking these skills with modifications would make them OP. They still have VERY low hp comparing to other classes. They don't have bolts and stave amplifications on their weapon. (Though lvl 10 bolts hurts a bit :D) You can't spam Esma like hell because you need Estun as a requisite, plus the damage reduction. Guess it's fair enough. Well, i already have an idea on how are you gonna react on this fellas. :P
Rayray Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 There are really few people that used soul linkers(I am one of them) but my input is not as good as Aki's since he pretty much geared his soul linker well. So with that in mind, I will give some input. ES skills were too strong, and modifying them to hit players requires source edits, which doesn't sound too good since it will be harder to implement. The main problem here is the Esma skill honestly. As you can enchant it with any element using mild wind, it poses a significant one shot power. Sure, gtb blocks it and such but if we want to make them usable, it will go through tons of testing to actually reduce the damage that will not make it too strong. The only problem on soul linker was the HP, honestly.
iCake Posted August 1, 2013 Author Report Posted August 1, 2013 I have no idea about source edits. Haha.. I just remember a server i played before, Es skills are unlocked and yet, SL's aren't OP. As far as i remember, Esma on that server isn't something you can cast as is, i mean, they've put it in a passive state where while attacking, there's only a certain %chance that Esma will launch. I think they didn't edit the damage cuz it's still like "once-my-esma-launches-you're-dead"

We have 195 aspd, +40 stat acc that comes with a slot( so, owl baron card comes in mind), custom soul linker cape/ring and custom staff and custom card that strip shield. Then, let us add the reducts gears like skull aura/myth aura and sacred wings or eidelic wings. I played Battle Prof, and I can honestly say that autocasting esma on soul linker while attacking will be too strong in the right hands and gears.
Hypnosis Posted August 1, 2013 Report Posted August 1, 2013 ES skills are overpowered, the class has an ability do dodge magic and reflect it while ressurecting self and maintaining a good distance with leap, on top of that es skills are able to be enchanted, by GHOST, which allows the skill to even MORE dmg. The class is a great class, in my opinion, but in PVP they are an overpowered class.
zergling Posted August 2, 2013 Report Posted August 2, 2013 Yea... not happening. Soul linkers can spam high jump, use auto rez, and have retarted high DPS and spam rate. By unlocking the Es skills they would be able to use Eswoo+Esma and deal heavy damage(even with a damage reduction, since they also have bolts). You also have to look at the skill Eske which would be a super provoke, making the soul linker class overpowered to all hell when it comes to team fights, just because it would boost the attack damage by 300%(roughly). So yea I have to say -1 to this. Soul linkers have the bolts for the damage output reason they don't need more adjustments on their attack skills.
