Bot Detector?

Hi im new here at fRO & this will be my 1st post..um about the bot-detector thingy which will ask you to type a certain code/numbers/etc. i get killed most of the time because of this..& after you type in the corresponding code it sucks you SP >.< i hope you will be some what in invulnerable mode while typing the code? & after typing the code i hope it doesn't suck our SP xD

First of all, Welcome to the Server! :)

and, you can always use Yggdrasil Seeds/Berries so you can tank the damages of the monsters while your typing the 3 codes which will take about an estimated 5 seconds of your time only.

We're constantly working on improving the bot checker as it has only been implemented recently. I believe we are looking into the sp drain as well. Stay tuned :).

Yea and is it possible for it to force @hide when you're typing the code then remove the @hide once you're done with the code, so that way it won't hinder leveling while people are typing the code.

Yes and this is another reason why it should be adjusted to activate after every certain number of monster kills so that way someone can't just manually farm items until the bot checker activates then just activate the bot.

Thank you sir/ma'am/s sorry for the late reply ( busy doing quests :D ) and by the way i accidentaly pressed @warp while the botchecker was asking me and was gone when i landed from the warp,the bad news is i can't move so i had no choice but to ALT+F4 xD Edited June 12, 2013 by devil_trigger

no its ok ^^ when u login back, the botcheck will still be there.. so dont worry you're safe and wont be jailed as long as you type the correct code ^^

Well I was able to farm speeds for 2 hours and was only bot checked once. So how about an increase in the checks because it's a lot of farming you can do in 2 hours if it's a bot that's running.

Like I said, It's not possible to do the bot check manually and then run a bot. So the amount of times of the bot check showing up doesn't matter.

Hey bishop!why not make the bot checker check on log-in so that way it won't get in the way when say, random PVP occurs or whatnot. :D

Bishop is 100% correct that it's impossible for bots to get around the check and it does not work like some players are suggesting it would. We've thoroughly tested the bot checker and will continue to work on any improvements we feel are necessary. The SP issue should already be fixed now. :)
