-Si- Posted April 28, 2013 Report Posted April 28, 2013 Suggestion: Have racial slurs/words/terms/slangs be filtered out. Reason: I find it not a good term to say in game, whether it be their own ethnicity/race it does not change the fact that it is a racial term/slag. I know many will disagree, but I just find it not right to say it in game, and should be filtered out. To also filter out words near the "Racial" slurs. Such as, nga, c*ink a * being a h. But this is just me. What do you think? >.< Also, because I have been admin for games and having the racial term/slang words helped made the server look more proper. Rather then having a bunch of players yelling racial terms/slag words or trying to say things around it.

Saying "whatup my nga", or something of the sort, to me is not offensive, and I haven't seen any players take offense to it in my time here. Although, I do see a point in which that people can use it in an offensive and hurtful mannerer, these can be reported as verbal abuse. Edited April 28, 2013 by scarcity 1

But as a jargon that has been used within my circle of friends to call one another as a replacement of their own name. But to filter out these words like dreams says, a little misspelling will do the trick

Around friends maybe ok for you and your buddies but dosnt change the fact its a racoal slur/term. It would rather be better if rules added to lessn the racial words/slurs then not to have any rules about it. But I do understand what you guys are saying.

Point is attempting to filter words never works, same meaning different spelling and you're stuck with the same problem once again.

If you feel offended and feels that they had been too much.. i recommend you to take some ss and report them at the ticket center :)

I aint Q_Q about, I am trying to give this server a suggestion that using any racism terms/slurs should not be allowed. Maybe you don't care but its proper for a server to have a rule like this. Yes people will still try and find a way around it but at least they know its in the rules not to use any racist terms. You may not be offended but others might. I rather have small amounts of players trying to find ways around racism then having tons of players running around yelling the racist slurs/terms. Also to add: Maybe have a message every time you log in about racist slurs/terms. And any use of the word, either have it filtered and those who try to get around it reported/warned. Anyways, adding a filter wouldn't prevent people from using those words if they want to. In every game that has one people always find ways to bypass it. The best thing to do is take screenshots if you see this happening, make a report in the ticket system, and a GM will deal with it. Thanks. :)
