They have a higher dex rate than you. 3. They have FCP Highly doubt it, you have a gunslinger? test it. I've tested it on numerous opponents two being people I know personally. The animation activates and you can see the little weapons flying from the opponent yet their weapons are still equipped, allowing them to kill me. Disarm is the gunslingers most valuable skill and without it they are truly obsolete. Get it fixed please, til then go ahead and take more pretty pictures of yourself with ties on and leave me out of it.

But the successful disarm animation plays every attempt, leaving me to believe it was successful when it really wasn't. That's not supposed to happen. This is what should be fixed. Nasty Nate Posted November 3, 2012 Author Report Posted November 3, 2012 No, you misunderstood. I'm talking about the animation, not the emblem of the status effect. The actual animation where guns fly from the opponent's body. That shouldn't play every time you attempt, only on success.
Rayray Posted November 3, 2012 Report Posted November 3, 2012 (edited) no i think he means the animation of getting stripped can be seen even though the strip attempt has failed. can you tell me if the enemy you disarmed is someone who is a dex class?(sniper, bow stalker, gunslinger, clown/gypsy) because if they are, you have successfully stripped them when that animation was shown, however since they are a dex class, the duration of strip is shortened. in fact ive seen someone who got stripped and put his things back within 10 seconds i think. Technically, disarm is not really useful nowadays since people who are serious in pvping always have fcp on anyway. Edited November 3, 2012 by ZerO25
Nasty Nate Posted November 3, 2012 Author Report Posted November 3, 2012 Yes, the person I disarmed was in fact a sniper, but they did not need to reequip their weapon at all. Not until the 5th or 6th time I disarmed them and their weapon actually was stripped from them. Every time the animation was played it acted as if I had stripped their weapon from them, a little confusing for me honestly. I don't think I should watch the characters' sprite so closely to see if they are holding a weapon or not, I just want to see the successful animation when I actually succeed.

Bishop Posted November 3, 2012 Report Posted November 3, 2012 It always shows the sprite and it always has worked this way as it was created by Gravity to show the sprite even at the fail attempt. Therefore I see no bug happening at all, neither do I see a proper suggestion. You being rude to people that actually try to help you does not really bring any addition to your topic either. If you still want to suggest something regarding the skill, could you rephrase your suggestion?

Next, you're still wrong because it doesn't need fixing, it was made this way by gravity, you just want to change it. So, technically, your suggestion should be: change the sprite from playing on unsuccessful attempts. you're welcome.

Having played other private servers with their own custom alternative skills/skill animations has nothing to do with the fact that on here, it actually works like it's supposed to. It actually works the exact same way it works on official at this very current time. Also clearly, I was referring to your original suggestion, which always is stated in the first post of a suggestion topic. Obviously that's a complete different suggestion than changing or removing the skill sprite during fail attempts, hence the request to rephrase it.

Back then you could spam disarm and it would be spammable like bulls eye until the person was actually disarmed then that animation would appear. After a certain update(I cant' remember which) the disarm skill changed to the way it is now. No one complained so it never got changed back.
