[Solved]Cant Get The Game To Start

I've downloaded the full instaler.

then after clicking the ForsakenRO Patcher, the patcher screen shows up

and then after cliking start, nothing happens.

Please help me, Im new here!

and yep my netbook boots for 10 mins

so should I try and try reboting again?

have you disconnected the power cable of your computer and turned it back on?

Or try downloading both the file patch and all in one patch

just a hunch, but maybe the Fkenro.exe file doesnt trigger fordata.grf

I cant verify it because this files dont have neoncube.

But if restarting can help you, I really dunno whats going on lol.

Did you download the regular patch and the all in one patch? Both of them?

Alright seems like a familiar problem. Please try this:

Steps:

1: Open the file called setup.exe located in your Ragnarok folder

2: Check the top bar (is it empty ?) If it is try selecting your graphic card in the box.

3: If you are unable to select your graphic card at the top dropdown box you must install an Direct X version that is compatible with your graphics card. If you still can't select your graphics card after that you must update your graphic card drivers.

4: Once you have selected your graphic card, input a resolution (Make sure the resolution in setup.exe is not higher than your current screen resolution, this will cause the client to not open at all , like your current problem).

5: Once you set both of these up press OK and try launching the client again.

6: Report back to me whether this worked or did not work for you.

actually its my 1st tym encountering a problem when installing a new server!

Do you have setup.exe as well or only OpenSetup? OpenSetup did not come with our full installer, why is it there ? Are you trying to merge FRO into an RO folder that already has been used or is currently being used by other servers ?

PS. What happens when you try to run the game through the client instead of the patcher ? Try running the file called Fkenro manually.

PS2. I think you're very far behind on your graphic card drivers ? o.o might want to check that.

I've encounter a prob (from other server) where when I start a game, The title bar only appears. And my solution to that is to replace the setup.exe with opensetup. So I thought It worked here.

@ps1 nothing happened

@ps2 should I Buy another video card? or should I just update it once more? thanks!

Our client responds to the setup.exe not to the opensetup.exe, hence why the client won't open. It has no idea what graphic card to use, what resolution to use, not even what soundcard/options to use. You only need the all in one installer -> install it in a fresh folder -> run setup.exe -> follow the above steps -> Should be able to play perfectly fine.

@ps1: That's probably cause the client doesn't read changes you make with the opensetup, only the regular setup.exe.

@ps2. Buying another videocard for a netbook is not oftenly done. Aside from that I don't think it would be worth it in any way. Updating your drivers can't hurt though so I would do that if I were you.

2. Restore the Forsaken setup.
