Decode Posted February 1, 2012 Report Posted February 1, 2012 Alright thank you for letting us know Mint, what about you gamersrule26? still experiencing this issue?
gamersrule26 Posted February 7, 2012 Author Report Posted February 7, 2012 Yeah I am, it's actually happening right now, and that's what reminded me of this thread. My drivers are all up to date but THIS F*CKING CLIENT STILL KEEPS CLOSING ITSELF. Also it closes itself immediately after I click on it. The log screen page shows up for a mili-second and closes itself.
Bishop Posted February 8, 2012 Report Posted February 8, 2012 It only does that when either your graphic card is failing or you do not have the correct Direct X installed. Or you have set 2 different resolutions set in your setup.exe. Make sure you have all of the above and are running your client in none administratormode.
Genesis Posted February 8, 2012 Report Posted February 8, 2012 Go to device manager, take a picture of what is under "display adaptor" and post it here please.
gamersrule26 Posted February 15, 2012 Author Report Posted February 15, 2012 It's GvG and I can't log on because my fucking client is closing itself. ò_ó
gamersrule26 Posted April 19, 2012 Author Report Posted April 19, 2012 Since this little problem does actually still happen, I thought I'd bump up the thread and post a video on what I mean by "client automatically closing". http://tinypic.com/r/33ynat1/5 If the link doesn't work, please say so :3
Bishop Posted April 20, 2012 Report Posted April 20, 2012 It only does that when either your graphic card is failing or you do not have the correct Direct X installed. Or you have set 2 different resolutions set in your setup.exe. That. Open your setup.exe check the top bar. If it's empty the client is unable to see your graphic card. This either means your graphic card is failing or you do not have the proper drivers installed for it. Also make sure you have DirectX installed on computer. (if you have the right drivers + DirectX you should be able to select your graphics card!) The bar showing up as empty is most commonly caused by not having a proper version of DirectX.
gamersrule26 Posted April 22, 2012 Author Report Posted April 22, 2012 When I go on the setup dragdown, it comes up with a few options: Direct3D HAL Direct3D T&L HAL NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE(This options comes twice) NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE(This options comes twice) I also tried downloading DirectX incase I didn't have it. It said that I already had an improved version, or an equivalent so installation was not necessary.
Ryuk Posted April 22, 2012 Report Posted April 22, 2012 Try using one of the GeForce options. It should fix your problem. Also make sure you've set a correct resolutuon.
gamersrule26 Posted April 23, 2012 Author Report Posted April 23, 2012 (edited) I do use the GeForce options, and my screen resolution is much smaller than the size of my moniter, yet it still closes. Here's a screenshot of my setup. Is there anything else that might be causing this annoying problem? It's really getting in the way of stuff :L Edited April 23, 2012 by gamersrule26
