Danny Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 Lately, a lot of you have noticed the lacking of new players in the game. So me and few of my friends, are thinking of ways to invite or attract more people to play Forsaken RO. But before any of that, we should really think about the problems we are facing is the Installer, especially the patcher cause I heard from a few people, that they are having problems with it. I know the GM are really trying their best, working their hardest, but in the end, we're gonna to have look for a permanent solution or shortcut to avoid problems because before, I tried to install the ForsakenRO into my new computer, and I had problems with the patcher as well, if it wasn't for Ryuk's ValkROpatcher, I wouldn't be able to play fRO. I do know it helped a lot of players before me or after me. Give your suggestions and thoughts on way to get more people. So what do you think?
Drax Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 could offer sexual pictures to seduce them to play ;)
November Thunder Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 Come up with something thatr is new and exclusive to forsaken ro. Don't know what it would be exactly but it's just a thought.
Nadtorious Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 Lmao ! @ Drax !! Sexual pictures to seduce them , LOL . I like tha idea . I think putting the ValkROPatcher in the All-In-One file would be good and replacing the old one . /:
Genesis Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 I think the installer issue has now been fixed. Could someone try downloading the small patch and installing it over your RO files and seeing if you can connect?
Al Kapwn Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 Being a new player here are some of my thoughts: When trying to download the all-in-one installer, I couldn't download it with my Chrome browser. I fully dl'd it 4 times before using IE, since it froze at the last second. Finally it worked though :) Also, I'm a little stuck on how to get zeny, enough for an fset. I got an fdun pass and have gotten like 50 ygg tickets to find out that, that's really not that much money. More guides on the forums on how to make money, gear up, etc would be awesome. Like a guide for newcomers on how to attain our first fgear, or first donation item (without donating lol). I'd love that :o Oh, something I'd love even more are MVP guides on how to kill them quicker(ly) and what basic gear we can use to kill them since I've noticed their hp is insane. Unless it's supposed to take me an hour and twenty minutes to kill a GTB plus very tired fingers from spamming skills. Correct me if I'm wrong, I honestly have no idea. Those two things would personally help me as a newbie for sure. Since I have no friends to ask, it's honestly just the basic stuff new people want to know. Like, FRO is so customized with gears and stuff we have no idea where to start, but y'all do since you have been here for the updates to get the feel for it first hand. - Al Kapwn
Xtopher Posted January 4, 2011 Report Posted January 4, 2011 I recently reinstalled the whole game (was having trouble seeing imp helms for some reason). I downloaded the all-in-one using Google Chrome. The download and installation went smoothly. I'm using Windows 7.
Genesis Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 All-in-one worked fine, the small patch was the issue.
Sensation Posted January 5, 2011 Report Posted January 5, 2011 If you can't see the Imperial Valk Helms, just download the small patch and overwrite your current files with it. If you have gravity errors and post them on forum, please please include what you were doing, on what map you were, what items you were wearing, what items other people were wearing, if someone warped away/to you, anything special happening. Most gravity errors are sprite errors (c0x0000005 or something) and without knowing what exactly happened, it's fairly useless, disassembling for every error is a bit.. overly time consuming. When trying to download the all-in-one installer, I couldn't download it with my Chrome browser. I fully dl'd it 4 times before using IE, since it froze at the last second. Finally it worked though :) That issue isn't Chrome related, I've downloaded the installer in basically every popular browser and Chrome is my main browser and downloaded it without any problems at all.
Danny Posted January 5, 2011 Author Report Posted January 5, 2011 All-in-one worked fine, the small patch was the issue.Lol I used to had problems with the All-in-One, to a point where I couldn't see Fallen Ghost Auras LOL I might try to download the All-In-One later or ask a friend to do it. But lately, it is the Small Patch which is the real problem.

Weird - it just kept freezing for me with 1 second left, so I used IE and it worked just fine. Anywho, guess I'm the only one with that problem and it got fixed so we're all good then :)
