Kush Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 We Should have like a guild called "[FRO] Helper Society" that players can help other people and by typing @help "question" they're gonna get warped to a map where the "[FRO] Helper Society" members can answer their question . mostly all questions can be answered by ratemyserver.net or with your own knowledge . if this idea is good , i'd like to participate and help the community of FRO
Veracity Posted October 3, 2010 Author Report Posted October 3, 2010 That's already been suggested and it's unfortunately not an option. If players want to help other players out, we encourage you to. It just can't be in an official guild endorsed by the staff. Also, if you guys want this to happen more quickly try to make specific suggestions about item effects, etc. I know there's already been some that are quite good and we appreciate it, but try to keep these great ideas coming. Ask your friends who are new and if they have any ideas that would help out. We are working on this update still, it just takes a long time. The more specific and detailed the suggestions are, the more helpful it is. (:
Kush Posted October 4, 2010 Report Posted October 4, 2010 there should be a map officially for people who got questions and make a pub where they put their questions and people can come by and answer it . or official place around fcity like the middle part is for vending , the left side are for strong people /gg the right side are for noobs . lol and prolly the stairs can be the good place where you can pub and put your question .

Sorry but i have like 2 years here and ive been always on the right side and i go to the left to talk and stuff. So stop ur classifying shit k? So......Veracity Im going to make some suggestions about all the ones we have in your first post k? :3
nines Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 I agree right side is the poorer side left side is the richer side. FRO is segregated we must brake the bonds of nub and pro. !

I do think it would be nice to have a place specifically for vendors, though (not necessarily in fcity). Edited October 7, 2010 by Veracity
Kush Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 i wasn't segregating em lol , i just gave an example that questions can be asked at the stairs just like how GM does it when they say "ohh go here to the stairs if there's any question and all that" lol ohh and btw , we should make the vending skill , rather than paying zenies , you pay with dqs so we can make a mall and all merchies can vend there . lol i don't think that's possible but yea . hahaha ! i got some weird suggestions .
Forum~ Posted October 7, 2010 Report Posted October 7, 2010 (edited) I agree right side is the poorer side left side is the richer side. FRO is segregated we must brake the bonds of nub and pro. ! Socialism doesn't work. Consumerism/Capitalism is king. EDIT: Merge these things: Equipment/Item Shop Decarder +10 Upgrader Equipment fixer and other basic NPC's newbs hafta noe aboot. It's been suggested before and I think that would be a great idea, but unfortunately it can't be done currently. We always appreciate hearing player's feedback and suggestions, they're not weird at all. (: Edited October 7, 2010 by Veracity
Angels&Demons Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 (edited) I've read the entire thread and most of the suggestions are excellent suggestions, but are mostly short termed. Personally, I think the underlying problem as to maintaining the new players is how to get donation coupons. Based on what I see today, new players only have a few things to choose from to make donation coupons: hunting yggs, hunting speeds, making FCPs. There has been a suggestion about the forsaken dungeon, but let's face it, people mob forsaken dungeon trying to make donation coupons themselves, and let's face it, without kiels, the new people would just get KS'ed by those with kiels (old members) Old and new people also farm speed potions to sell as well, which basically means that the newcomers will have a lot of competition on their hands. Which then leaves us to making FCPs, which is a lucrative market, but it is very hard to farm and are rarely used unless a person is against a stalker or is participating in WoE.. Unlike EDPs. So what I'm suggesting is to remove the EDP tix from the castle boxes. To be effective, the GMs would have to reduce all the EDP tickets currently ingame to 10% of the amount. For example, if I have a total of 300 EDP tix, an update will decrease this number to 10% making me only have 30 EDP tix. In due time, all of the EDP tix will be gone, and new comers will have another option on how to make donation coupons. This is necessary since there are a lot of EDP tix in the server right now, therefore, those who have them could easily sell them at a high price when all the EDP tix are gone. Again, this is just a suggestion, and I really think that new players can certainly use farming EDP tix as a way to help them get on their feet and not really get "dominated" by the old players. Veracity Posted January 6, 2011 Author Report Posted January 6, 2011 The next update is going to be focused on new players, so if anyone has anymore ideas/suggestions then now is a good time to post them. (:
Al Kapwn Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 (edited) Ygg Stabilization: Howdy ~ so I was talking to some people earlier and I drew a conclusion. Ygg farming will always be one of the top markets here. I heard that the tickets to ygg ratio used to be 1:2, so I thought why not make an NPC that you can exchange ygg tickets 1:3. You'd still be able to get tickets no matter what the market is at and would ensure they don't go up again. It would actually make them go down. For all y'all who think this would devalue tickets too much, I say otherwise. I think they've gone a bit too high from what I've been seeing. All the guides I've seen have said to Ygg hunt, essentially for money, in the fdun. Which apparently is the only current way to make some decent money. Grind for weeks. So, to not get taken advantage of this is perfect since the NPC would take like 10 seconds to script and would lower the amount of time taken. Honestly, I think it makes perfect sense.. Another thing: Why not have like a new line of quests, where, there is a map with monsters on it that only drop those questing items for those lines of quests. The items spread out between their monsters, but the quests themselves only require you to use @autoloot and know your space is not being wasted with trash? More events held that don't require pvp would be awesome too btw. Not asking for more events included, just a simple thing from GM's where it's not only LMS that gets hosted. Because apparently.. LMS isn't really Last Man Standing, it's last TEAM standing even though they don't party up, and then goof off and they fight each other. Awesome. Last but not least: I'd love to see a faction system for quests where you can choose between good vs. bad, and through quests monsters are literally having wars against each other. Like, fighting each other and you have to help. Spice up the quests a bit, simply finding an NPC that tells you a list of items and is down to the point is nice for older players with less patience. However, for newer people it'll make breaks between ygg grinding more enjoyable instead of going and mindlessly grinding for another item, and no one else should mind if the quests are guided towards the newer community anyways. It can be done. There are released, stable, versions of faction systems all over. Much more could be done.. I think it's kind of obvious at this point what should be done, it's just a matter of what will be done. Tickets are impossible to get unless you donate (enough to gear yourself completely anyways), events that are held have mainly been pvp based, MvP cards have been completely devalued, all old classic items are waaay out-dated compared to donation items, etc, etc. Grinding on an item, just to grind some more is not an attractive thought for a newbie because then we have nothing to look forward to. Spice it up a bit. Edited January 7, 2011 by Al Kapwn

Well here's my idea a questable rucksack with +5 stat's wouldnt have to be too fancy either just something simple. Edited January 7, 2011 by November Thunder
Veracity Posted January 14, 2011 Author Report Posted January 14, 2011 Thanks for the great feedback everyone! I'm just going to go ahead and "accept" this now since we're going to hopefully be implementing quite a few of the ideas here to benefit new players in the next update.
