» Pat Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 http://forum.forsaken-ro.net/index.php?sho...17985&hl=en Introducing ForsakenRO's newest event... Right now you're probably wondering how you can get a chance to win this great prize... don't worry, it's simple! All you have to do is participate in the Photo Request event. Every month that we maintain a position in the top 10 ranks of the GS200 list, we will offer the Photo Request event on the forums! In this event, someone requests a picture of a particular object in the first post, then someone replies with a picture they took of that object with their forum user name/IGN written on a piece of paper, and requests another in the same post. Every time you fulfill someone's request, you get a point. The person with the most points at the end of the month will win their very own free NintendoDSI! The best part of this is you don't have to pay a penny and anyone can participate in the event. It's easy and fun! Sorry if I misunderstood anything but I just cannot seem to find an answer to my question in your topic/the FAQ. What I'd like to know is: By "Every month that we maintain a position in the top 10 ranks" do you mean the event lasts until this changes or until a preset amout of time has passed (1 month, I'd assume)? And if second applies, will the event be held every month we maintain in the top 10 ranks and the points will then be summarized at the end of x events or will there be a new DSI to win every month? Thank you in advance.
Genesis Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 The "points" are reset every month (and a new topic is made). Depending on how this month goes we will do more of these kinds of events. You keep the DSI that you win. Let me know if you have any other questions.
supream Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 do people in the forums have to have a minimum number of post to be able to participate? Due to the possibility of someone just coming to the forums just to win a free prize.
Genesis Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 You could say right now it's in beta, we will work out the bugs as we go along. =]
supream Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 last few questions. if we win and live in the usa are we able to choose between the money or the dsi, and just to clarify what pat said, for the event to happen we have to maintain a top 10 status for one month then the next month we get an event, and during the event we are still top 10 we will have something similar next month?
Genesis Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 You can only choose between the console colors. If this works and we get new people we will host it frequently.
Phenomenon Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 (edited) Hey people, start voting as soon as it's August 1st. I want to participate in this event, I'd really love that DSi. :D We need you all to vote! Edited July 31, 2010 by Phenomenon
-R e i Posted July 31, 2010 Report Posted July 31, 2010 Question : Let's say I won the event, but I'm not living in US and doesn't have a paypal account, but I'm 13. What will happen? :<
Genesis Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 You don't need a paypal account, we will ship it to your house (after you win we will ask you for your shipping information).
» Pat Posted August 1, 2010 Author Report Posted August 1, 2010 Question : Let's say I won the event, but I'm not living in US and doesn't have a paypal account, but I'm 13. What will happen? :< I think you misread his post.
Genesis Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 Since when is shipping restricted to the US?
» Pat Posted August 1, 2010 Author Report Posted August 1, 2010 Wha- wait wait what. It said you could only ship it to the US and if the winner doesn't live there the cost of the DSI would be sent to him over paypal... right? If you're trying to confuse me,... it's working.

It said you could only ship it to the US and if the winner doesn't live there the cost of the DSI would be sent to him over paypal... right? If you're trying to confuse me,... it's working. It's also confusing me, I think he skipped the important word! I said I'm not living in the US yet he still insist he'll ship it to my house O.O and I thought if you are not living in US then you'll just give the equivalent amount blah blah!
» Pat Posted August 1, 2010 Author Report Posted August 1, 2010 PHEW IT DIDNT HAPPEN IN MY HEAD. RELIEF.
-R e i Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 Seems like there has been a change with the event's F.A.Q. : Q: What kind of condition is the DSi in? A: The NintendoDSi is in brand new condition, and will be sent to you sealed. It will be sent directly to you by Amazon. Q: What color is the DSi? A: The winner of the event gets to pick whatever color they want! The colors to choose from are: Pink, Matte Blue, White, Matte Black, and Metallic Blue. (Note: This depends on the availability of said color at the time you win.) Q: How do I receive the prize? A: One of the administrators will PM you on the forums asking for your address. Once we know that information, it will be sent the same day. Q: I don't live in the US. Can I still get the prize? A: Yes, we will still ship it to you. Q: Is there an age restriction on this event? A: While everyone can participate, only people over the age of 13 are legally permitted to give their address to us. If you are under the age of 13, you can still win, but your parents or guardian will have to give us your address.
Lavernius Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 Wouldn't that be a problem, because DSi has a regional-based restrictions, meaning that since it is an American model, people from other counties can't play it unless they buy American games... Veracity Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 Sorry about the confusion, we will look into it more and let you know. :)
Dr. Tran Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 No, my dsi is an US model, but it can play japanese games. Lol
Genesis Posted August 1, 2010 Report Posted August 1, 2010 If you live in a country that uses something other than NTSC-U then we will buy the DSI for you at a local video game store and they will deliver it to you. Once a winner is decided then we will go ahead and decide on the delivery and such.
