We are currently recruiting 4~5 active people to add to the GM team to fill our empty slots!

Copy and complete the following application and then e-mail

your application to [email protected]. Make sure you fill it out completely and to the best of your abilities.

Do not post your application in this thread.

2. What time zone do you live in?

3. How many languages can you speak fluently and which?

4. How many hours do you play per day?

6. How long could you stay online if it was needed?

7. How long have you been playing RO?

9. Are you active on our forums? If so, what is your display name?

10. What is your most active in-game name?

11. What is your desired GM name?

12. What is your desired GM password?

Personality questions:

1. List at least 5 good traits about you and order them by relevance. (If you want to specify more than 5, you may do so.)

2. List at least 5 bad traits about you and order them by relevance. (If you want to specify more than 5, you may do so.)

3. How would you describe yourself?

4. Why would you like to become a GM in Forsaken RO?

5. Have you ever held a position(s) with responsibilities in the past? If so, specify what it/they was/were.

6.- What traits do you think a GM should have to fulfill his/her job?

Hypothetical situations:

4.- Several players complain about how you do your job. What do you do?

5.- A player has breached the rules while in sight of your legitimate character(s). What do you do?

6.- You have an issue about how other staff members do their job. What do you do?

7.- You have been assigned a task to be done at a certain time in the future. However, you cannot comply with the schedule due to personal reasons. What do you do?

Requirements:

1. Must speak English fluently.

2. Must be on every day a minimum of 4 hours. If you are not, you will be removed without prior notice.

3. Must speak classic, non-abbreviated English ( no "u" "itz" "cuz" "menz" ).

4. Cannot have any prior problems with any player. ( No drama, ever.)

5. Must have a computer in your home.

If you do not receive an e-mail back by a week after applications close, you're not selected to be an addition to the team.

We're sorry if that will disappoint people, but we only have limited space available.

Applications will close on midnight server time 6/28/10. Emails will hopefully be sent out within a week after applications close (by 7/5/10).

Good luck to ya'll who're going to apply.

Like every other GM application there is, here's a few word of advice:

  1. Always make sure your grammar is perfect.
  2. Try not to use emoticons such as ":D :) ;] ;( :[ 8D :>," and so forth.
  3. Try not to use internet-language such as "LOL, ROFLCOPTER, ROFL, LMAO, ROFLMAO, GDIAF," and so forth.
  4. Be honest with your applications. If you say on your application, "I have good grammar. I know what it means to be a GM and to be as professional as possible. Grammar is a big aspect of being a GM." And then you go up to your friends in Fcity as a GM and you're like, "hi guyz!!!!!!!!! wh4ts up??????? ^_^~~~~" Yeah, we wouldn't want that.
  5. Try to be as professional as possible.
  6. Good luck.

Everything has been said already, only thing I might add is don't rush with sending your application.

Read it through few times, elaborate it as much as you can, read the questions the application is asking you to answer.

Also think through the requirement number 2.

2. Must be on every day a minimum of 4 hours. If you are not, you will be removed without prior notice.

4 hours can be little - but it can become a lot fast enough, so think if you'll be able to be active before appyling.

And lastly, be yourselves.

I'm looking forward to see new, active faces again.

Goodluck to all applicants!

What happened when we make a few mistake, like mispell and forgot to type certain word in a sentence to make sense. We won't get accepted?

Good luck guys. I do hope new GMs would be active and no one would try to abuse his/her powers.

Ultimate Weapon, if mistake's done only once and it's not used repeatedly or the application is not full of [small/big] mistakes, no senses and however, application is really good overall then they might look through fingers about this small little mistake and accept you. Also mistakes are human, we all can make them - but using "u" instead of you or using entirely wrong grammar is definetly not something what'd make you accepted. But more you read through your application, smaller is the possibility that there's any mistake left - that's why I always said, read it through few times, take 1 day for just reading the application and believe me, it can become much better as it was from the start.

Most of the time people find some new statements they can add to their application, too or find out that they've read the question wrongly. So take your time, don't rush, and you will be fine! (:

It never hurts to show a little bit of class, kay.. That's something that is even more important than grammar, which some people may not understand. :)

No, GMs do not get paid for their work. It is purely voluntary, and we know this when we apply. It is a responsibility that we trust our GMs to fulfill, since they agree to it in their response letter. No one forces anyone to apply.

But thanks for your review on our GMs, in any case.

Is there a chance I could be GM too :O

Of course- everyone has a chance. But its mainly your application (depending how good it is) that will affect your chances of becoming one.

I wonder if the presentation overide someone's competence.
