Wdf Why Do I Get Banned On This Server

GM Ryuk please do not try to lecture masahiro because he knows what he did = 5 hr ban hes jsut ranting at how much worse had happened and no justice was serverd.

and you can not say that is not true because you are not on at all times.

as well your judgment isnt the same as any other.

Some gms may warn, others may just ban.

where as another may instantly ban.

this post is about how the non offensive / simple posts and hammered upon like the worst crime ever where as much worse and offensive posts have sliped throught he cracks.

he is jsut ranting about this fact. and he gave example. and this is the rant section so i think he has the right to rant. and telling someone that they are lying with little or no evidence, is distasteful.

and i dont think any restrictiosn were violated :

1. The server. ( No attacks on the server, no exceptions).

2. Our GM Team.

3. Our Staff in General

. its about how some broad casts slip through.

i agree with Somdara there, also why dont people who b/c their own events get banned? because that isnt official, and if you tell me its on the point of a server specific topic or some bla like that, WHOSE To say the person thats hosting the event will ever give a prize to the winner of said event? THAT can lead to a more obnoxious, time wasting scheme, than my simple b/c of a marriage proposal....and even so i DOnt want it to be that someone should b/c their own private event and get banned for that, the rules need to be revised, thats what we are learning here.

and up to now, no1 addressed my question on how people who b/c saying go to pvp room dont get banned, etc THAT falls under the taunting category highlighted here in the rules:

Broadcast abuse: (To use the broadcaster to insult other players or annoy the community in general)

Broadcast abuse is defined as using the broadcaster for the purpose of making misleading broadcasts, insulting, provoking, harassing, profaning, and/or annoying other players or the community in general, but is also definable via a GameMaster's criteria. Reviewing a GM via broadcaster is instant punishment, there is no way around this. We have a GM review forum for a reason. Using the broadcaster for conversation is prohibited. Foul language will not be tolerated as broadcasts are viewed by the entire server. Disguising an abuse with a B> or S>, will also result in punishment.

Examples of punishable broadcasts:

"PM me *insertcursewordhere*-chan."

"Wow GM X is power hungry."

"Jeez, GM x's legit sure sucks."

" B> Apples, oh by the way X are a bunch of homosexuals who only gang."

"Wow PlayerA, is that the only way you can kill me?"

First offense:

-5 hour ban.

Second offense:

-10 hours ban

Third offense:

-24 hours ban

Fourth offense:

-3 day ban.

Fifth offense:

-1 week ban.

Sixth offense:

-1 month ban.

I can say your provoking me by b/cing to go to pvp room, OVER and OVER and over again. and your annoying me so thats a double whammy..x.x

if you can allow that, then you should allow harmless b/cs such as mine in the future

ipso facto MARRIAGE AND PVP are both Ro related terms, so you cant technically say i was off topic, ADDITIONALLY, as i highlighted before, my second broadcast was REQUESTING for a Gm, which again, is an acceptable thing to do using the broadcast system when@request fails (as i said it was believed to have done), so in both my b/cs Technically nothing wrong was done

The guy who broadcast selling "IP" (Ice Pick) was my cousin smeay and Mashiro just used that as an example. Smeay broadcasted S>IP [1,000,000]. The big number confused the GMs that were on that case so they banned him for 10 years, he was unbanned right after when a Senior Game Master logged on. And Mario wasn't banned for that, he was ban for just saying Will you marry me whatever, still. Is that anything bad towards another player? He is just asking someone if they want to marry him again. Either she had exall on or on a different character or not. Does the player really have to get banned for that? I know he did his time already but why should any player get ban from these stuff.

Like the rule stated; if they abuse the broadcaster saying something like this, then ban them.

sry if i unintentionally offend anyone with this post, again its not my intention and i apologize if i came off strongly in anyway, but the rule system has me a bit flabbergasted and i AM attacking IT, not the Gms that follow it, u guys do ur job

and some liek Ryuk etc do it well and are PROBABLY a bit too idealistic of other Gms who are partial at times, (which is only human and in no way an indication of their ability as a GM)

that was exactly it btw but i didnt feel the need to mention it, above, there would be no NEED to b/c otherwise if i was able to pm, but i didnt include a reasoning for my b/c

atm im just using this as a medium to highlight growing problems with the rule system in regard to b/cing and subsquent punishments

because i find it a bit unfair if a player who can only play a set time period (not even me) gets banned for a mistake he didnt even for-see the consequences for, and should he hop on an alt and @request why he got banned, and hear a, well you were in violation of so and so rule, and theres nothing we can do". i find that a bit unfair to the GOOD, DEVOTED, PAYING players of Forsaken Ro, who decided to come here and not go somwhere else...

it is my opinion they be treated with a bit better and with a more mature respectful outlook, because in no way are some of these cases offensive as the rule CLEARLY states the main reason for a b/c abuse ban to be carried out.

Due to lack of time I'm not going to respond to everyone or quote parts, however..

I've always been rather strict when it comes to broadcast abuse and of course there are discussable cases all the time. However there is a certain point where we have to draw the line, I guess every GM has their own line drawn. It's nearly impossible to get all the GMs to agree on a discussable case whether it's abuse or not, also event GMs do not have the power to unban players so GM's can't overrule each other.

Personally I think some GMs (including myself) have to light up a bit on this rule. However if we do this there will be a possibility that some cases get off with a warning while others don't. Hence why I'm rather strict to this rule. I want to be fair to every single person on the server , and in my opinion everyone should be treated the same.

All in all, it's nearly impossible to draw a line to decide if a certain B/C is abuse or not. I'm afraid it depends on the GM that spots it, and if we losen up on the rule the differences between GM's judgement will only get bigger.

TOO Srs. I remember times when rich people were talkin on broadcast heh and no one was banned, or any GM interfered. Was cool.

none of us are Robots, players nor Gms, and dnt forget the Role of the GM should be to make a better playing experience for the players, so revise the rules a bit, xD

I've never killed a player outside of dice before, so that doesn't really make sense. I think the 15 pms I get in a second distract me more than the broadcasts =D.

nothing. its just frustrating how some come off scott free, while others suffer from much less..

Unfortunately there's not much we can do to fix this, unless the players start reporting B/C abuse through tickets.

You were banned for 5 hours because you provoked Zig to abuse the broadcaster as well. The broadcast npc is not there to personally attack other players. Obviously Zig did not see it as a joke either as he insulted back through the broadcaster. He was banned for 5 hours as well. I have lightened up a tad on this rule, but insulting and provoking through the broadcaster will remain a instant ban.
