Weezing Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 I agree, because Ws just have 1 way of dealing damage or killing that other classes can't use that is CT, and is damage is too easy to reduct, if people just default a Tao + RSX Armor, x2 Skolls and Usako Shield, your damage would be like 6 k with thana and merely 17 k with incant, and for the people that think that you would die fast from a Thana or IP CT, ask yourself a question don't u already die from any thana user class beside champ's and while not using skolls?.

sessions Posted July 2, 2010 Report Posted July 2, 2010 (edited) Okay I only read the 1st page of this so I have no idea what has been suggested by others. My ideas are: 1. a. Increase Tao to 40-50% hp bonus OR b. Add to Forsaken Master Forgers a 10% hp bonus 2. Change Atroce to +200 Atk. 3. Change the Demihuman bonus on the WS elite weapons to a damage bonus to cart termination and add MAYBE ~200 atk to the weapons. The one problem with increasing CT damage is that people with Thanatos will do even more damage while it does balance out Incant damage. Edited July 2, 2010 by sessions

Rayray Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 Unlike Clowns and SinX who uses thana, WS are still at a disadvantage even if we increase CT damage. Even a thana CT can be ygged easily compared to a thana AV at a thana SB or thana barrage of double attacks with 195aspd from a sinx. so I don't think it would be OP. I agree on sessions suggestion. 21k hit using incant will not kill anybody who knows what they are doing even if you spam it. 35k damage is decent but only a few hits like that, only those with at least an icepick(which in return would make them sacrifice stat points to dex so they can hit and will make their vit lower)

They're supposed to have more hp than most classes. 2 : My WS has 200 vit + tao and reaches 165k hp. Hence why such a huge HP boost is needed since WS are supposed to be one of the best tankers in the game. 3 : He said 50% from tao OR adding hp to forgers, not both. 4 : 200 attack does not make the difference an goldenring card makes for all the other classes. 200 atk is not a 25% damage boost, so please don't even try to say this will make WS OP. Still waiting for this to be accepted. Numbers have been given quite a while ago.
supream Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 i was to assuming he wanted all the things he suggested, but he already said what he meant. the tank classes are pallies and lord knights. ws arent meant to be one of the best tankers in the game. they were just mean to have fast kills.

I think increasing tao's effectiveness while used by a Whitesmith by 5~10% also seems good. The damage just plain sucks on a Usakoring+Skolls user. Not to mention that if you're relying on Thanatos/Ice Pick to deal good damage, one must understand that these item's aren't readily available to everyone. This class is WAY underpowered, and no, it's not a support class by any means. Edited July 18, 2010 by Phenomenon
Rayray Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 ^ What most of us has been trying to say from the start. a sinx could dish out 32k using incant per hit, 18k if they had usakoring shield, we do like 28k on incant if the enemy do not have shield, 15k or less if they do. Beats me why other guys think WS is OP.

Phenomenon Posted July 18, 2010 Report Posted July 18, 2010 (edited) Sighh, I can 90k on my clown using Incantation Samurai Card on a no-shield sinX, about 60k with a Champion. I was fighting a SinX with shield and I was using 300 strength and all my supposed attack buffs and was only dishing out about 17k damage with the weapon that did the most damage while he did 12k per hit. My skill uses up SP and has slight after-cast delay while melee uses up no SP and has no delay whatsoever. May I add there HP is crap? So that things move along a little faster, I suggest something like. Atros Card : [Mastersmith Class] Attack + 350 Tao Gunka Card : [Mastersmith Class] Maximum HP + 35% or 40% Edit : OR have Mastersmith Forger Card give a 5~7~10% HP bonus, and possibly change 40% to 50% more damage with cart termination? ^^ Edited July 18, 2010 by Phenomenon
Rayray Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 40k without shield is not gonna kill anyone. why? because almost nobody got hands that could spam ct as fast as 195 aspd. everyone decent fcps too so one of your buffs is useless. and only an idiot would fight a ws without shield and fcp. I mean, I could tank CT at 20k damage and just attack him on my sinx using one hand dagger and I would still out damage him even if he uses his shield. and he will die faster because of his lower hp, and if my valk randgris dispells him he is screwed. WS needs to be buffed to be at least on equal footing as the other classes at least.

It wasn't an assumption, it was a...notion of common sense xD What you said is also true...howerver, then we bump into the other balancing factors for power of the skills; backlashes and conditions. Asura requires 5 spirit spheres and Fury state present, it has a considerable interruptible Cast Time and a long sting of cool down/delay sprites. It consumes all the remaining SP, voiding natural SP&HP recovery for 5 minutes after its use even when sit. For low rate standards(how RO was created to be) this is, by far, the skill with the most backlashes. Now, Bowling Bash, it consumes 22 SP at Lv 10, and that's about it. Cart Termination, uses up 15 SP, requires the uses to activate Cart boost AND consumes also up to 1500 zenny per use. From this point of view you can also say that Cart Termination should be stronger than Bowling Bash; not only it is a skill of a superior job, it also has more requirements and conditions.
Phenomenon Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 Whitesmith class has inferior HP, tons of requirements on their skills (IT'S BEST OFFENSIVE SKILL IS NULLED BY QUAGMIRE, WHICH ANYONE CAN ACTIVATE WITH AN IFRIT RING, WTF?), Decrease Agi prevents the use of Cart Termination (making you choose between hitting with an Edge or put on GTB against a champion, not fun..), and the damage isn't THAT great, especially since it doesn't have the versatility of all other offensively-oriented class. It needs a higher damage output or at least have something make Cart Boost not affect the use of Cart Termination, and a bit more HP please.
