Once 3rd Job Goes Live...will It Be Implemented? What Then?

Have you ever read the articles on iRO Future Wiki? Here is the link if you haven't.

As you can see this server is known that Champions and Assassin Crosses do sort of take majority of the population on this server. In addition to the varieties that the ADMINS have added to the server in attempt to rebalance certain classes, it seems as though if third jobs are introduced; more chaos will ensue. In that I mean either skills of certain classes will have to meet nerfhammer DX such as the new Sonic Blow(Cross Impact) and Create New Poison skill for Guillotine Crosses. Though only examples, you have classes that are much changed thanks to the third-jobs and I would like to see what effect they would have on in our server.

Eg. Fallen Empire and Gate of Hell Combo-Champion 1hit Kill

Death Bound-Makes the Rune Knight being a Suicide Bomber @1500% Reflect to Opponent/750% to self

I am not trying to be biased, but this really is the truth. You can refer to how many Assassin Crosses/Champions are made on the server compared to other classes via Control Panel

Does anybody want to give their two cents so it will be a mature and educated discussion?

I seriously can't wait for them to be completely released...

But we must also keep in mind; the new classes will come along with a renewal in the general systems. For exemple; VIT 100 will no longer grant status ailments immunity; 120 VIT will grant only 30% ailment protection and that's all immunity one will be able to naturaly have. The change was made because now even Warlocks will have over 100 VIT with the abundance of stat points...

Therefore cards to inflict&resist status ailments will return full force.

Another major change that will hit high rates; The stat point cost for attributes over 99 will be greatly increased.

Regardless of all that, some skills will indeed need a meeting with the nerf hammer.

according to geni, i think, third classes wont be on this server. anyways, gate of hell and fallen empire is weak, the real problem would be the following skills: shadow form cause it will cause sever ganging, cursed circle cause it will cause champs to spam it stupidly, deep sleep skill cause clowns will spam it stupidly and it cant be resisted, tiger cannon cause its not a element move nor can it be resisted by anti demi human stuff, veenom pressure with oblivious curse cause it silences u for 300 seconds,and maybe paladin cause they have a skill that adds 40% more reflect or maybe it was just a bug.

Hnnn...I believe Gen said that they won't be implemented as soon. Totally neglecting the update might be a bit unwise; not keeping it up to date with RO might make it less likely new players to join us. Servers that already incorporated the renewal are getting rather famous quickly~

Another major change; Ghostring will be greatly nerfed, ghost property LV1 will only grant 25% Normal property immunity. That could be easily avoided here but it's just a reminder.

Most skills from the new classes have their counters already; New Poisons might sound a bit overpowered, but they poisons can be carried over but anyone and self-inflict the poison status by using them, one of the new poisons is Antidote being able to use that on self already shows that anyone can cure the new poison status.

Venom Impress needs a nerf to 20% instead of 50%(get serious...50% is way too much), and I see Myst and Argiope cards getting some utility.

Cross Impact can use a small reduction in damage, although it isn't that much stronger than a Linked SB, it could be reduced to 1000% cause it has a range of 3 cells.

Shadow Form is dispelled if the target moves 9 cells away from caster, and a SC that uses this skill cannot attack nor use items or skills while it lasts.

Tiger Cannon looks more like a skill to deplete the enemy's SP, the physical damage dealt is what people could call a 'mini asura', easy enough to survive and time berries.

Cursed circle can use a small change, but as it is, Silence immunity(Marduk card) can deal with it.

All in all, I believe we can balance everything out to fit into our server with enough test.

the most annoying skill of the sura I saw in other servers would be the cursed circle. I hope they change that.

No they will have edp, you can skip from second to third class but if you went sin, sinx, gullotine ull have edp and all those other skills to

first for shadow form i know they cant use any skills or items but for ganging all the have to do is shadow form someone and have a friend asura the stalker and the person the stalker used shadow form on will die. we tried nerfing tiger cannon but it didnt work it still did way to much dmg since it cant be resisted at all it will do max dmg every time. marduk card wont stop cursed circle. idk if antidote will work if u been oblivious cursed with poison since its a skill u have to use.

there is another skill of the guillotine cross much like cross impact but it is ranged. forgot the name. But I like the genetic's wall of thorns.

Still, cursed circle is like a blade stop that is in aoe.

Last time I checked, FallenEmpire+GoH is like literally Asura#2 Correct me if I'm wrong. Traps rendered useless by a Swordsman class I think...You walk over em and they automatically get destroyed. Or was that some other class. Good comments people keep it coming.

I don't like taking 2vs1 scenarios into consideration; the disadvantage is already placed upon who is alone.

Cursed Circle really sounds a problem if, like root, immunity doesn't work against it, in last stance it could have its area reduced to 3x3.

I believe this problem with Tiger Cannon might be a bug, to this point, no skill disregards demi-human protections equipment, if it indeed is meant to do that, nerf hammer on it.

Some skills look very overpowered, the problem can fixed with some reductions.

The ranged Skill for GCs is Dark Illusion, it is rather weak by itself, but it has a chance to trigger Cross Impact upon connecting. It might be a bit of a problem because it works in the same fashion as Charge Attack; closes in with the target from a range of 7 cells.

And yes, the skill that breaks traps by stepping on them is called Tramp, belongs to the Royal Guards; Paladin/Crusader's third class. It isn't nothing like a Buff or Passive skill though and rather a use skill that breaks traps in an AoE~

yea ur right dark illusion is like charge attack but it dose not push u back. trample will make trap's useless in woe. fallen and goh when i used it dose not always hit alotand when it did yea it did so dmg but not as much as asura. in order to nerf tiger cannon you gotta change the scrip. also this hasnt been talked about. clowns and gypsies deep sleep skill cant be resisted by gemini cards or anything and its spamable so it will cause a lot of complaints.

my only issue if they get implemented here would be cursed circle lol. Or cross impact too considering our customs are strong(sonic blow with 8 available slots for weapon is gonna hurt for sure, and we have 2 fbh shoes :))

Oh dear...I assume Cross Impact is Katar exclusive skill seeing it comes from the Katar skill tree of the Assassin. It's going to be an horror if it can be used with two daggers. I'll look harder into the matter, nowhere I looked in speciefied it...well it takes a bit to investigate through 100+ pages on what seems to be the official discussion thread about it.

I don't understand much about scripting unfortunately, but changing one skill's damage shouldn't be that much of hassle, is it?

I still believe our good friend GTB will grant immunity to the feared Deep Sleep. This is something that can't be easily tested on renewal servers though.

cross impact with daggers isnt ass strong as u think. your better off using a katar, but third class was gravities way to stop private servers. third class on the official server is balanced and enjoyable. they made certain skills so if people were to make private servers it would be almost impossible to balance them so they wouldnt put them on them making people quit private servers going to the official ones.

To be honest, I'm pretty excited about them. It would be nice to have some new variety here in fRO, although I'm sure like the rest of you that lots of skills will need extensive testing/nerfing.
