tg`
Well Recently i've been close to the ticket system and wondered how long will it take for someone that can help me with my problem solve it, apparently the only person that can help me would be [GM]Genesis ( and a few GM with power ) however they were very busy! so my suggestion would be as following : 1.Should we promote a new GM that are given GM powers to look at the Trade log/chat log, etc? (since now we have new GMs the events can be handled by them) 2. Should we allow all Senior/Experienced/Trusted GMs to be able to do the same? -another suggestion fro a different thing- 3. allow players to have the ability to use "forgot password" request through email. (it'll be useful) Thank you!
Dragon
1. Yes I think we should, will they, probably not. Do I blame Gen or Relinquish for it, NO. Due to security compromises in the past I can understand if this one never happens. 2. ideally yes, But again refer to 1. 3. Great idea, not sure why it was removed. Devotion
I agree on it all too, but I ditto what Dragon said. It's going to have to happen eventually, but no one can say when. Though I'll go ahead and accept your third suggestion. Players should have a way to recover their password without an Admin's help. It reduces work for them, and waiting time for the player. Dart
The reason it was removed was because of the whole Nick fiasco. He had access to everyone's email address, and probably could have guessed their email passwords. So if you reset and he wanted in, he could get it. The forgot password sends you a confirmation email with your password inside. Anyone with access to your email account, could potentially, see the password. But, if an Admin gives you a new password, there's no 'paper trail' so no one can find it anywhere. I think the reason it hasn't been put back is because of the worry Nick might gain access to multiple accounts again. But I could be wrong on that. You guys need to move foward from this already, lol. Nick doesn't visit fRO anymore and was slapped with an I.P ban, he's not going to go out of this way to hack people any further. I honestly doubt he's going to go to the trouble of logging into someones account via the CP, getting their email, then spending time to try cracking their email account. Even though he did get into your email once. He's busy working elsewhere and doesn't have time to amuse you guys. Genesis
Zeit has access as well. We believe 3 is enough, don't see the need to have a bunch of people with access to that sort of thing. This has been like this from the start, so the two posts above mine are irrelevant.
